Signing big names is exciting and gives us something to talk about but has it ever worked? Only as a missing ingredient but not as a long-term strategy.
A better question is how is it that the Rams find premier talent in Middle rounds from small schools. Maybe our scouting could use an overhaul. Remember the Buddy Nix days when all our draft picks were from southern schools? We got some good players but few had played cold weather football.
I'll give the Bills credit in that they continue to look for ways to improve without blindly throwing money around. Our move to a run first offense resulted in more wins and fewer turnovers. I like the braintrust in our front office and think they will find ways of making the team better.
