  1. I'm using it in a browser on my laptop, with an HDMI cable sending the signal to my TV. Looks great!
  2. I can confirm the PS3 package is available. Spoke with DirecTV today and they offered it as an option. The $250 is fine for me, since I just feed it to my TV via HDMI. I get every game -- same as regular Sunday Ticket -- plus access via iPad and iPhone. I'll still go to the bar sometimes, but this gives me te option to watch at home, too.
  3. I know this has been discussed in another thread, but wanted to give it a fresh thread so nobody missed the info. To get the Sunday Ticket ONLINE ONLY, go to http://www.directv.c...yticketspecial. I signed up today for $250. Hope this helps!
  4. 27-10, Buffalo. The Bills preseason anemic offense finds its rhythm after the Bills relentless front four victimize the Jets floundering offense to create turnovers, 3-and-outs, and good field position.
  5. *Yawwwwwn...* Icanhazregularseezonnow?
  6. Bring back Mike Jasper as a safety.
  7. Nobody is going to fine anybody. NBC has broadcast rights for NFL games. They're not gonna nickel and dime the NFL, one of their most lucrative content providers, over a goodwill act.
  8. I work in Internet marketing. I'm on my phone now, so it's a pain in the neck to look into it more closely, but the ad is likely either A) a Google AdWords Content Network ad, which are displayed all over the web and can be targeted based on the words appearing on the page the ad displays on (and the words "NY Jets" definitely appear on this site), or B) a "remarketing ad," which the Jets would buy and is displayed (based on cookies placed on your computer) to someone who has visited the Jets website (which you could have done while researching our foes). It's actually smart marketing by the Jets. Bills fans go to Jets games, too, after all...twice a year.
  9. Get my hair DID. The kids these days say "Get my hair DID." #themoreyouknow
  10. I'll bite: "I agree. I really like our defensive line this year, especially if Kyle Williams can stay healthy."
  11. Um, no. Hargrove was a decent player on a lousy team. So was McGahee. So was Marshawn Lynch. Decent players, selfish thugs, glad they're gone. I'm good with what we're building.
  12. If you vote, feel free to list the players you think will make it.

  14. Don't try to reason with them. It's like ordering in Spanish at Del Taco and assuming the kid behind the counter understands you.
  15. I couldn't disagree more. Wanting your news source to spoon-feed you stories that make you feel good is dangerous. I don't need my newspaper to protect me from uncomfortable truths.
  16. I agree that Chris's primary job is as a "Company Journalist," meaning he's never going to stray too far from the corporate message. He's given enough leeway to remain credible, but his job is still a PR function. That said, I think his access to information is an asset. Sure, maybe it's to be expected that he'll have more of a scoop than national reporters, but that's the point of this post, isn't it? That when we're starving for insights on what the Bills are thinking, maybe Chris's reporting isn't such a bad place to start. Even a guy with direct access is gonna be all over the map during the pre-draft guessing game, but I thought he provided a fairly true-to-life perspective on what the Bills game plan was. If anything, this story has me impressed with Buddy and the coaching staff. They had certain players targeted and they got their guys.
  17. Gotta give Chris Brown some credit here: His post about talent available at the start of Day 3 spotlighted three players the Bills ended up picking: Zebrie Sanders, Nigel Bradham and Tank Carder. Link
  18. Chris Brown said he thought the Bills would have taken Barron over Gilmore if he was available. FWIW.
  19. Luke Russert's Mom just Tweeted she saw the draft get in a cab headed "in the general direction of an airport." Great. There goes the draft.
  20. I like the idea of Bowe plus a pick (3rd? 4th?) for our #10. I guess it depends how serious Bowe is about holding out, how worried KC is, and what deal Bowe wants. We still have vets left to cut (Edwards? Spencer Johnson?), so we'll save cap room. Speaking which, think KC wants either of those guys?
  21. Too funny. This is the same board that wanted Nix to grab Bowe as a free agent. Now a proven commodity...and scorer...isn't preferred over unproven Floyd?
  22. Since its baseless speculation day, here's an idea: Buffalo trades #10 to KC for Dwayne Bowe, who is refusing to sign his franchise tender. Buffalo works out a contract, KC drafts Floyd. Buddy DID say we might surprise people with our pick and that we need an impact player.
  23. NFL schedulers have conspired to give the Bills an unfair advantage. Five of the team's last seven games are at home during the crucial playoff push. What's more, three of Buffalo's games this season will come against teams they've already played earlier in the season, giving them a chance to scout those teams. In fact, the Bills play six games against AFC East teams -- only the Patriots, Jets and Dolphins play as many games within the division.
