  1. I have forwarded this thread to the marketing people. I have to agree with those that have been saying the couch-setters are at the core of the problem.
  2. I agree. Most receiver yards are RAC yards anyway. That's on Chambers, not his QB.
  3. Some of these ugly Charger mugs deserve naming: Billy Volek pic Nate Kaeding pic Bhawoh Jue pic Anyone?
  4. Okay, here's my early attempt at a draft: RD1--Alan Branch, DT, Michigan, 6-6, 320--Could be there at 14 when we draft. Extremely speedy DT was RB in high school. ProBowl by 3rd year. RD2--Kasey Studdard, OG, Texas, 6-3, 305--Either Studdard or Grubbs would be there at this pick, and either one's a great pick. RD3--Clark Harris, TE, Rutgers, 6-6, 255--Big TE who can block and catch. A big reason Rutgers got it done this year. RD4--Manny Ramirez, OG, Texas Tech, 6-3, 339--Looked great in the recent game on TV. Some Top 150 draft boards have him going 108, which is exactly our RD4 pick. RD5--Dallas Baker, WR, Florida, 6-3, 206--Boards have his stock falling of late, so I'm taking him even though he won't last this long. Of course that's what I thought about our LT Jason Peters. RD6--Jonathan Abbate, ILB, Wake Forest, great size, weight room junkie with 34" vertical leap and 4.5-sec 40 speed or Kelvin Smith, ILB Syracuse. Local guy. RD7--Mkristo Bruce, DE, Washington State--Teams switched from a 4-3 to a 3-4 so his numbers (he was leading the nation in sacks at one time) may make him drop to here. Imagine having another "Bruuuuce" to cheer for. Freakishly athletic, plays with emotion and tenacity. Fan favorite.
  5. What's amazing is Jarrett falling to 12. He's the 3rd WR to go in 12 picks.
  6. I Love These Early Drafts! I'll have early notes up in a few days--my problem is I dunno where the Bills will be picking. This guy has us picking 12th. Astro
  7. Lots of big WR's this year. Jarret may end up being at the top of the WR list, but right now he's 3rd: 1 Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech Jr, 6-4, 230 2 Ted Ginn Jr, WR, Ohio State Jr, 6-0, 175 3 Dwayne Jarret, WR, USC Jr, 6-5, 210 4 Jeff Samardzija, WR, Notre Dame Sr, 6-5, 220 5 Sidney Rice, WR, South Carolina Jr, 6-3, 200 6 Steve Smith, WR, USC Sr, 6-0, 195 7 Robert Meachem, WR, Tennessee 2007, 6-3, 210 8 Jarrett Hicks, WR, Texas Tech Sr, 6-3, 215 Anybody here you wouldn't want in Round 1-2?
  8. Last year, "with touchdowns on five of their first seven first-half possessions, San Diego overwhelmed the visiting Buffalo Bills 48-10 after charging out to a 35-10 lead at the half. "
  9. When you get the Bills jersey for Christmas you will understand.
  10. And the first game in years where the Bills had 7 rushers: Mcgahee, Price, Parrish, Williams, Thomas, Royal, Losman.
  11. And maybe Tasker (who did the play by play on WCMF) can learn how to pronounsce his name. It isn't "Sea-Slick". That would be the Valdez oil spill.
  12. Because McGahee is a better outside runner, I'd put him in this week. We're not going anywhere between the tackles today.
  13. I have Roadrunner, and don't want to give that up, so I pay for cable TV. Would it be cheaper to switch to DirecTV and still keep Roadrunner?
  14. Steve Smith had 3. Keyshawn had 13. Chad Johnson had 6. I love this observation.
  15. Great Post. Welcome to Stadium Wall Live! I like our line also. Here are some stats about our "old" (pre-bye-week) line and our "new" post bye week line: "old" (pre-bye-week) line (week 5-7): average of 68 yds rushing 4.0 sacks allowed "new" post bye week line (week 9-11): average of 121 yds rushing , 3.5 sacks allowed
  16. Add Crowell to the list. He was leading tackler in last week's game and had 7 takles, 3 assists in this game. He's delivering some punishing hits.
  17. Me, too. But I'll still be nervous, sit on the edge of my La-Z-Boy, and hope the Bills can come back with 13 seconds left!
  18. Jacksonville Minuses: In the last 4 weeks, the Jags lost at Houston, 27-7, and in their house, 13-10. In the 13-10 game, they allowed the Texans a 15-minute time of possession advantage. Garrard had a 25.5 passer rating with 4 INT’s. Leftwich is under the knife tomorrow. Garrard will be under the gun on Sunday. Garrard under pressure is not going to get it done. The Jags beat themselves all the time—dropped passes, penalties at the wrong time, turnovers, quick 3 and outs…Now they are playing not to lose, looking at the wild card race (Jets, Chiefs), whining about their luck, etc. Jaguars' receiving corps is woefully inadequate. They are about done with the great Matt Jones experiment, Reggie Williams essentially lost a game with twin penalties--an offensive pass interference penalty and a holding call, and they're about to turn to a backup to take on the #3 role. Props to Khalif Barnes for his weekend drunk driving arrest, and a sideline incident involving wide receivers Reggie Williams and Ernest Wilford. Get the Ritalin. Their last four 1st Rounders aren’t producing on the field. Admittedly, they have been outstanding with their later round picks over the last 4 years, but their playmakers aren't stepping up. As of 3 days ago, here was the injury report. Lots of lower body injuries: Jorge Cordova LB Hamstring Questionable Questionable* Questionable Donovin Darius S Knee Questionable Questionable* Questionable Chris Hanson P Hamstring Questionable Questionable* Questionable* John Henderson DT Hamstring Probable Questionable* Questionable* Byron Leftwich QB Ankle Questionable Questionable* Questionable* Stockar McDougle OL Ankle Questionable Questionable Questionable Montell Owens RB Head Questionable* Questionable* Nick Sorensen S Head Probable Questionable* Questionable* Marcus Stroud DT Ankle Questionable Questionable Questionable* Terry Cousin CB Groin Probable Probable Probable Wayne Hunter T Wrist Probable Probable Probable Clint Ingram LB Shoulder Probable Probable Probable Brian Iwuh LB Shin Probable Probable Probable Rashean Mathis CB Hamstring Probable Probable Probable Bobby McCray DE Shoulder Probable Probable Probable Fred Taylor RB Groin Probable Probable Probable Gerald Sensabaugh S Shoulder Probable Probable Probable Daryl Smith LB Biceps Probable Probable Probable Dee Webb CB Shoulder Probable Probable Probable Marcellus Wiley DE Groin Probable Probable Probable Ernest Wilford WR Thigh Probable Probable Probable Brian Williams CB Foot Probable Probable Probable Derrick Wimbush DT Ankle Probable Probable Probable George Wrighster TE Back Probable Probable Probable Bills Positives: In the Colts game, The Bills learned how to keep an offense off the field, using time of possession and the running game. In the Texans game, they learned they had a passing offense themselves. Now it's time to use both to beat a playoff-caliber team. The Bills have been stingy with their own turnovers, and Jax has been liberally giving it up. This is one game where the turnover battle will literally win the game. The youngsters are coming along. Ko Simpson and Donte Whitner, and OL's (Terrence Pennington, Duke Preston, etc. have had a chance to play during live fire, and we're seeing the results now.
  19. My beef with Knox was that he traded OJ Simpson, Jim Braxton, Paul Seymour, drafted Tom Cousineau, and signed Dobler and Villipiano. He never groomed a backup to Ferguson, which cost us dearly in '80. Knox was the 3rd best coach in Bills history and did many positive things, but should the 3rd best coach in Bills history be in a legends book?
  20. I agree. Carr continues to have sack problems. CB's have to play Moulds and Johnson up close (I'm assuming Clements on Johnson, McGee on Moulds) and allow Schobel-Tripplett-Kelsay to disrupt the play.
  21. Gilchrist IS Cookie and he's on page 18. I could knock Knox (41 wins, 31 losses) as a selection. Jim Braxton was okay (2 good years), but not for the all time legends.
  22. I agree. When you need to run the table to be in the playoffs, it's all about growth. I like the attitude of this team and the confidence they have despite their record.
  23. Miller leads in kickoff return average, too. Oh yeah, and we're looking up at the J-E-T-S in the standings. The misused Maroney is second in kick return average, and last I checked, they're ahead of the Bills as well. I would suggest that production on special teams per kick (regardless of number of kick returns) has a lot to do with field position, and the Bills haven't had it. They trail only the Dolfags in poorest field position in the AFC this year. Here is an article that correlates average drive start to winning. There is a strong correlation between the two. Evidently the J-E-T-S and Patriots have already learned that.
  24. Sacks in the last 4 years: 9-->7-->4-->3 Do you see a trend?
  25. here's the table of contents:T.O.C. I don't think they have it too wrong.
