  1. On DraftTek, Leonard was picked in the 5th round, pick #140, by the Rams. I'd have thought sooner, too, but FB's don't get chosen 2nd-3rd typically.
  2. Brown was picked by Miami in the first round, #9.
  3. Let the wild madness start! You franchised Nate Clements and re-signed London Fletcher Baker to a nice 4 year contract. You can make more than one choice per Round. Choices were taken from Draft Tek website. Here
  4. Great first post. The team needs page is extremely interesting: DraftTek Team Needs It lists ILB as #1 priority, CB a #2, OT-OG a #3, and RB-WR-TE-C-OLB as #4's. If you run it again, I'd like to see if anything changes if we keep Fletcher and platoon him with Crowell inside (CB becoming #1, OG only and OLB at #2, and RB-WR-TE-C-ILB as #4.
  5. Bennett is probably not RD#1 material. Houston and Hughes are late rounders or early 2nd's, depending on these teams who could go CB in RD#1: Dolphins, 49'ers, Bills, Jags, Bengals, Titans, Broncos, Pats, Saints. I think the CB's will go off the board in this order: Hall, Revis, Aaron Ross (great Sr. week), Daymeion Hughes, Chris Houston. In RD#2, we'll see McCauley, Fred Bennett, and Josh Wilson. In RD#3, Syracuse "Tweener" Tanard Jackson (S/CB) will also go late 2nd early 3rd, followed by Eric Wright, and David Irons. Example Scenario: 9. Dolphins-Could take Hall, but needs are many (QB Brady Quinn, DE Gaines Adams, DE Charles Johnson, OT Levi Brown) 11. 49ers- Could go with Hall, but they like Darelle Revis better. If they take DT Alan Branch, both CB's could still be on our board. 12. Bills-CB Leon Hall or ILB Patrick Willis or DT Alan Branch 17 Jacksonville Jaguars- they take DE if we take Willis 18. Cincy-Reggie Nelson S unless Hall or Revis is there 19. Tennessee: Ginn WR, or a DE, or Ross 21. Broncos: Okoye or DE (Carriker, Charles Johnson) 24. New England (from Seattle): DE/LB Jarvis Moss, or Ginn or (if he's taken) Sidney Rice WR 27. Saints-CB Marcus Mccauley, Fresno St.
  6. Is Fred Bennett in the mix? I like his speed and size over Hughes.
  7. Good point. I'd also throw in a bruiser FB. Lots of people have mentioned Leonard from Rutgers. If we're looking for a bruising blocker for 1st and goal or 4th and 1, I'd take Cory Anderson (6-3 260 Tennessee) in the 2nd-3rd. Hunt is a good pass protector, but not the explosive type. He's probably more similar to Willis--but less dancing before he hits the hole.
  8. I feel for you. My cousin Sandy was killed in her Senior Week in college. She rode in a car with a drunk driver in Letchworth State Park, and the car hit a tree. I hope you post the info you find. I'll keep an eye on this thread. Astro
  9. He's such a high-carriker guy that Levy will convince the others. Wasn't Kelsay also a Husker from Newbrasskow?
  10. You want 2 good tickets, so you're talking $15,000, plus airfare from here to Phoenix (~$700). I'm willing to trade my 1939 Martin guitar and my leased Honda Element.
  11. The best way to coach a tight end is Immodium, not Mularkey.
  12. Ryan Kalil, USC Center. We probably need a guy behind Fowler, but I think that'll be Preston.

  14. I'm not sure we have a 5th Rounder (St. Louis for DE Anthony Hargrove), but I like the picks.
  15. Top 50 Keepers for 2007 McGahee Vilma ain't there.
  16. Here's the only one that picked Whitner that I could find: PFW's Nolan Nawrocki Nawrocki succeeded Joel Buschbaum when he passed away. I'm tracking 76 mocks right now. There are hundreds.
  17. The Insane Human Slingshot Holy Crepes!
  18. To be sure, anyone can have a draft site, and update it regularly (which raises your search engine rank). What I find most interesting is that 9 sites picked Levi Brown, not that someone picked Brohm. Part of this can be climbing on someone else's wagon; others look at our NFL offensive rankings despite a good O-Line performance after the Bye week. The O-Line has had lots to disrupt their chemistry over the last 6 years, so I don't see the coming of Levi any time soon.
  19. Home Field, Reggie Wayne, and Dallas Clark will be the difference makers today. Colts, 24-21.
  20. _________ GREAT BLUE NORTH _________ 11- Dwayne Jarrett-WR-Southern California 12- Amobi Okoye-DT-Louisville 13 - Jarvis Moss-DE-Florida 14 - Ted Ginn-WR-Ohio State 15 - Leon Hall-CB-Michigan 16 - Laron Landry-DB-LSU 17 - Sidney Rice-WR-South Carolina 18 - Patrick Willis-LB-Mississippi ----> I don't think the 49'ers will be taking Jarrett at 11. They aren't as set at DT. If Okoye, Hall and Willis are there at #12, I'm pretty sure they'd take Willis or Hall. They were going to take Hawk last year--they won't be denied this year with a sure fire inside backer. If this is the scenario, Clements would get franchised in order to take the #1 LB in this draft. _________ CONDRAFT _________ PICK #11 The 49ers Pick: Alan Branch (DT, Michigan) PICK #12 The Bills Pick: Quinn Pitcock (DT, Ohio State) PICK #13 The Rams Pick: Patrick Willis (LB, Mississippi) PICK #14 The Panthers Pick: Michael Griffin (S, Texas) PICK #15 The Steelers Pick: Quentin Moses (DE, Georgia) PICK #16 The Packers Pick: Marshawn Lynch (HB, California) PICK #17 The Jaguars Pick: Charles Johnson (DE, Georgia) PICK #18 The Bengals Pick: Amobi Okoye (DT, Louisville) ----> Here, the 49'ers take Branch, which would be a no-brainer. We take Pitcock with Willis still on the board. Would we really take the 3rd or 4th ranked DT with the #1 LB right there, given that we took a first round DT last year, and have questions at MLB? _________ WAR ROOM DRAFT ___________ 11 San Francisco 49ers - OT - Levi Brown 12 Buffalo Bills - DE - Gaines Adams 13 St. Louis Rams - FS - LaRon Landry 14 Carolina Panthers - DT - Amobi Akoye 15 Pittsburgh Steelers - DE/OLB - Lamarr Woodley 16 Green Bay Packers - WR - *Ted Ginn 17 Jacksonville Jaguars - *Robert Meachem 18 Cincinnati Bengals - DT - Quinn Pitcock 19 Tennessee Titans - DE - Quentin Moses 20 New York Giants - ILB - Patrick Willis ---> Here, the OT that many drafts have us taking, Levi Brown, is picked by the 49'ers right before we pick. If this happens, do we trade down a bit and still get Willis?
  21. Wife doesn't like Buffalo. But she may like Bu$$$$$$$alo.
  22. Add to this that AZ has the NFL's easiest schedule next year.

  24. Alan Branch, Michigan - 6-6, 311, 5.25, 9 sacks, 61 tackles in 37 Games (1.64 Per Game). 18 Tackles for Loss. Junior. Rating=Branch Beef=Okoye Speed=Pitcock Height=Branch Sacks=Pitcock Tackles=Tyler For Loss=Pitcock Alan Branch --->STRENGTHS: size, John Henderson type, solid, unstoppable at times, stuffs the run, disrupts plays --->WEAKNESSES: maxed out frame Amobi Okoye --->STRENGTHS: strong vs. run, good push, pocket collapser, instincts, smarts, potential --->WEAKNESSES: leverage, closing speed, pass rush moves, stamina, consistency "Tank" Tyler --->STRENGTHS: quickness, strong, powerful, penetrator, pursuer --->WEAKNESSES: fatigue, tends to get out of shape, leverage, use of hands, work ethic, intelligence Quinn Pitcock --->STRENGTHS: strength, hustle, run-stopper, tackler, sacks, mobile, quick, technically sound, tough --->WEAKNESSES: maxed out frame, short arms, stiff, durability? Branch and Pitcock rise to the top here. Some drafts have us taking Branch. I'd be surprised if he was still around at #12.
  25. ...which would mean colleges grabbing our assistant defensive coaches.
