If We Pass on Ebron .... We Will Regret it
T master replied to TheBackupQB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The guy may be good but of all the TE's coming out this year he had the highest drop percentage of all of them . We already have a guy that can do that we need a guy thats clutch !! Besides we regreted passing on Orapko, Mathews , R. Wilson , & many others but if we get a #1 LT/RT i don't think we will regret missing out on a TE with as huge a ego as this guy has ! He reminds me a lot of Winslow Jr. coming out … All hype ! -
Bon Jovi is all about the dollar he has NO loyalty to anything but ! He fired Richy Sambora after all these years of Richy being his guitar player to save a buck to add to potentially buying a NFL franchise what does that say ? There should be a movement to keep this guy & his cronies away from the Bills because he is another Jerry Jones & if he isn't maximizing his dollar in Buffalo he will pull the plug just as sure as every fan on this sight bleeds red , white , & Bills blue !! If he is involved with the purchase of the Bills they will no longer be in Buffalo !! You can take that to the Bon Jovi bank !! P.S. If he does buy the Bills & you think he will keep them in B/Lo your "Living on a Prayer" just had to do it !!

I would love to believe in him & get behind him 100% but every time we bring a guy in he falls on his face for one reason or another . EJ is a great kid but he didn't show a lot last year , a couple times he showed some accuracy but for the most part he showed what the so called experts said - inconsistency !! After this year i will be able to give more of what i think of him as a starting QB in the NFL but no matter what happens i will always think that the smart thing for the Bills to do is to draft another QB this year as a back up plan . Because when you put all your eggs in one basket you have more of a chance to fall on your face with out a more sure back up strategy ...
-
With the draft coming up soon (30 days & counting) & all the hype of the movie coming out soon in theaters, just how foolish was it for who ever made the decision to not allow this movie to happen in Buffalo ? And how detrimental was it to the Bills ? Could it have helped put the Bills in a more positive light around the nation ? It had something to do with the NY State gov't didn't it ? I just remember the talk saying that they were looking at Buffalo as the first city to do the movie & now the Browns & Cleveland are getting all the free advertisement . That would have been a great 2 hr TV commercial for Buffalo & the Bills !! The Bills need to find out who ever put the ax on the movie happening here & run them out of town !! The Bills need all the positive advertisement they can get & this movie would have put the national eye on Buffalo & the Bills to let them know how a small town franchise is run . Do you think that this could have been another way to keep the Bills out of the spot light a conspiracy theory of sorts ?? HMMM ….

Why Not Kick The Tires with Josh Freeman?
T master replied to patfitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not ! He has already had the tires kicked & they have looked kind of bald & going flat i would rather take a flyer on one of the guys coming out in this years draft it would cost a lot less money for a longer period of time ... -
Ya but the kid is in his second full season & his still is learning . To add to that what you said about if he would have thrown a bad pass or 2 he may not still be in the game . But the kid doesn't throw bad passes he has great vision & decision making & thats what separates the good ones from the bad . That too is why in his college career he threw for over 5K yds a season more than once . Part of the knock on EJ was that his decision making wasn't that good in college & was part of the reason why "the experts" didn't consider him a first rounder & he held true to how he played in college . He was very conservative last year . I hope he makes the jump this year because he's a great young man with a lot of character but because the NFL is such a huge business & one really good player or above average player at the QB position can make or break a team i hope they look into drafting another QB this year that has a higher upside than Lewis or Tuel if that is the way they feel . To put all your eggs in one basket with out a strong back up plan in the NFL is foolish ! But i'm banking that Whaley see's that !!

New Stadium or Retrofitting the Ralph?
T master replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Go to Wikipedia & look up what renovations were done to Soldier field, Lambeau , & Arrow head & you can see just how much more will have to be done to bring the Ralph up to par with the better stadiums in the league . I just did a post not to long ago on this that got little or no attention paid to it but it explained how a lot of info on each stadium & there renovations which would be the cheaper way to go i would be less than half what a new stadium would cost if the state couldn't swing it . The thing that really sucks is if the state wouldn't have put the money behind building 2 baseball stadiums & a basketball arena in NYC there would have been funding for a new home for the Bills in western NY but 90% of all the dang taxes go to keep the city a float & it's still a hole ….. That maybe true but if the city has the infrastructure as far as hotels, restaurants, to support a SB every NFL city should be in the running if the stadium isn't a open air stadium just for the simple fact the amount of revenue they could lose due to inclement weather .. -
With all the grief given to Tuel about his out put in his FIRST official start as a NFL QB the Bills fans have all but put him out to pasture so what's the sense of keeping him ? If they feel that way & apparently the Bills coaching staff must feel pretty close to the same way as they dropped him to the 3rd QB & brought in Lewis it's all but over so get rid of him & bring in another QB like Boyd , which i think is another VERY good QB after what i saw him do 2 years ago in is bowl game . But with the amount of talent at the QB position this year if we don't bring in another i think it will be a foolish move to not have a solid back up plan & who they have i don't think is a solid back up plan if EJ goes down again ...
-
Does this mean that they ill get rid of TJ Graham ? I'm thinking so , if not they need to because the WR position will be quite crowded & the player with the least performance history should be dealt ... Unless because of his speed they try to change his position like they did with George Wilson & Jason Peters . They could try him at DB with his speed ?? Or put him in the slot & return SJ to the outside where he had more production !!

Lt. Gov Say's Bill's only NY Team
T master replied to Amarillo Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills would have enough money for a stadium if the NY gov't didn' t build, Yankee stadium, Mets stadium, Barkley Center, & what ever support they give to NJ to keep the NY name on 2 teams .. But as usual we got to spend all that tax money on the money pit better known as "THE BIG APPLE" !! SAME AS IT EVER WAS !!! -
I remember watching the bucs not that long ago
T master replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I never watched much Bucs ball but i do have a friend that is a fan so when i heard we got Williams i text him & asked if it was a good deal & he said definitely & that the Bucs goofed up by letting him go so let's hope Whaley & crew are finding these good players & will turn this team around ... But i still hope they draft another QB in the later rounds !! Just incase ... -
Schefter: Bills tried acquiring Chris Johnson
T master replied to SBUffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
WHY ??? -
I was all on board 2 years ago when Russel Wilson came out for the Bills to pick him up . With the gaudy numbers he put up as a college player i just thought how can a guy that puts up these kind of numbers not be a good NFL QB ? The rest is Russel Wilson history & i will try to not hurt my self patting me on the back ! I have the exact same feeling about a guy that has a quick release, which i didn't realize how quick until i saw some tape of him playing . Jimmy Garapollo put up the gaudy numbers like Wilson did in his college career & reminds my of the type of quick release that Marino had . I think this guy is one that has the IT factor . I would like to officially say that this guy will be up there in a couple of years as a Pro Bowl QB & in his recent future (as long as put on the right team & coach) in a SB sooner rather than later . The guy just gets it , has all the tools & as long as you don't par him up like the Bills did back in the day with a coach/player relationship like Mularkey/JP, where from one minute to the next the kid didn't have the confidence of the coach & staff behind him to develop him i think this guy will be the next WIlson/Marino or better . I know you all ill give me your opinions which hey isn't that what this is all about ? But i can handle the harsh reality of what it is to be a Bills fan on this site . OH & i will go one further , if this guy happens to fall to the Bills in a later round (what ever your personal interpretation of that might be seeing as i got crucified for referring to the 3rd round as being a later round) Then the Bills would be totally foolish to pass on this guy because if they do & EJ doesn't happen to work out as they are banking on then they will again sit back & be able to say will if only we had taken this guy or at least the fans can .

What-if: Doug Whaley NFL Executive of the Year ?
T master replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A lot will depend on how the team does this year ! If they have a winning season & show great improvements then he could be considered as the Exec of the year !! Let's hope so !! -
Is Stevie expendable now that we got Williams?
T master replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If his production drops way off as it always seems to do when a Bills player does well & then signs a decent contract then trade him but don't just do what they usually do & drop them so the team has to suffer with the left over of the contract monies to be paid . Because the only ones that suffer with that action is the team . Their cap takes a hit like the deal with Fitz & others then the team doesn't have all it need at it disposal to make the team better !! -
The entire thing with this "We need more core ST Players" Is B*** S*** ! Bruce Dehaven had the ST unit at #8 the year before this character took over with (for the most part) all the same players . He (Crossman) took a #8 unit just by his coaching & dropped it from 8 to what like 29 or something like that REALLY . If Whaley brings in all this help & not much if anything changes as far as the ST ranking then Crossman needs to be FIRED period . Hopefully Marrone will have what it takes as a coach to separate friendship from business & fire his bud , but i think if Crossman has even the slightest increase in standings Marrone will make more excuses for his buddy . But you know ow excuses are they're like A holes every ones got one & they usually stink !! The tapes tell it all , all the info that Marrone needed was there before he made the hire & i can't understand why new coaches coming in don't look closer to how these individual units were doing prior to the new staff coming in & the new coach doesn't have brains enough to realize . IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT - DUH Leave your ego out of it & think of the team first , If they would have kept 2 coaches instead of letting them go Dehaven & Joe D last year could have looked a lot different !!

Could the Seneca Nation purchase The Bills?
T master replied to oman128's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh that would be a derogatory name that would make those in the Indian nation feel less than a real citizen & not to mention it would hurt their feelings to have Braves used in the name .. WHAT EVER !!! -
So was he any good ? I don't pay attention to Tampa bay football !!
-
OK the guy is a pro bowl WR but after getting rid of Marshawn for his trouble while with the Bills why would any one want to pick this guy up ? He's from any thing i've seen or heard nothing short of a hoodlum ! He blew through his rookie contract money before the end of his last contract year was broke because he was paying to keep his entourage in the party mode . This guy is a big city born & raised person he wouldn't last in a smaller city like Buffalo & if he did come here i think he would be trouble for what it's worth ! Not to mention if he signed the contract he did in Philly what makes any one here think he would give the Bills a break on his price i don't see that happening at all ! Let the Raiders take him , he'll be close to his boys & can keep the uproar out of B/Lo ! We need strong character guys !! Not some one with more than a few unanswered questions surrounding him ...

Peter King MMQB article on Jim Kelly
T master replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had the privilege of meeting JK at the New England game 2 years ago & he signed a football for me before the meeting . He was more than humble & when he heard what i did for a living he seemed genuinely interested & made as much time as he could to spend with a fan, of course there were 100 others waiting in line but he came back & talked a bit more after he made his rounds . It was a great experience & privilege to meet him ! Get well soon JK !! Keep the prayers coming for him & his family he is one of us ... -
I new that the NFl & the AFL were 2 separate leagues at one point & with the passing of Ralph i have heard more of "The Foolish Club" which were any thing but , & it got me started on a different path which led me to what i am about to share with you. I hope some of you will find it as interesting as i did & this may stir your interest to know more . The Original 2 of the Foolish club tried to get into the NFL in 1959 those 2 being Lamar Hunt & Bud Adams . In 1959 they were refused entry into the NFL which prompted them to look for 8 businessmen to form a 8 team professional football league which became known as the American Football League or AFL for short as we all know . Max Winter was to be a part of the originals with a Minneapolis franchise but was lured to the NFL as the Vikings in 1961. He was later replaced by a man F. Wayne Valley which was not only the owner of the Oakland Raiders but also was a driving force within the AFL. Lamar Hunt was the owner of the then Dallas Texans now known as the Kansas City Chiefs as we all know them, The second original member was Bud Adams which was the owner of the then Houston Oilers & the now Tenn Titans these 2 men were the 2 that hatched the AFL . Harry Wisner was the owner of the then New York Titans that became the Jets, Bob Hosam was the original owner of the Denver Broncos, Barron Hilton the original owner of the LA Chargers which are now known as the San Diego Chargers, (which is another failed attempt of a football franchise in LA) sorry just had to throw that in there ! Then there was of course our own Ralph Wilson that has always been the Buffalo Bills from day one, & last but not least was the owner of the then Boston Patriots Billy Sullivan which we all have come to know & despise as the New England Patriots . The fl was also the league that introduced the idea of TV revenue sharing in the early years which made the AFL very financially stable which eventually led to the forced merger of the 2 leagues to become the NFL as we know it today . The AFL had a lot of forward thinkers that added to the over all NFL as we know it & as time went on the originals that stayed around up until the last few years i think helped to keep the NFL in check to not out grow their roots . But now with Ralph being the last of the originals & the one that it has been said wasn't afraid to stand alone & voice his opinion on certain matters I have a certain amount of fear of what the NFL could become with out some of these steadfast owners that thought more of the game & the fans than the all mighty dollar !! The Not So Foolish Club - Lamar Hunt - Bud Adams - Harry Wisner - Bob Hosam - Barron Hilton - Ralph Wilson - Billy Sullivan & F. Wayne Valley . Thank to you all for your forward thinking & your foolishness to do what others would shy away from !! But most of all to you Mr Wilson for our Bills ! RIP !

The Fans can keep the Bills in Buffalo
T master replied to Kellyto83TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with most all you have said but don't forget there are a more than a few money hungry greed mongers that own teams & don't think it is far that the smaller market teams can survive with out grossing as much as the bigger teams such as the Cowboys do . Which happens to be owned by one of the mongers i speak of. Jerry thought Ralph was old school & guys like Ralph are the ones that kept the balance I'm just afraid now that the balance has shifted into the gluttony & a greed motivated NFL which it has been moving there over the years . I just hope Roger can keep the wolves at bay & allow a great franchise as our Bills to stay where they are instead of having the end all be all being making $6.5 mil rather than $5 mil .. -
Here's something to think about... Brandon, Whaley, Marrone
T master replied to Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With all the stupid rules that the NFL comes up with like the no celebration thing & now the no dunking deal they should make a rule that all original AFL / NFL teams need to stay in their original cities . The only way a team should be moved is if the fan base is just not behind the team or the city isn't behind them & it can be proven that they are losing money . And as a added amendment that if a city has had 2 or more chances at having a NFL team they don't get yet another chance ... Leaving LA sucking hind tit as it should be . They have enough sports teams any way . Not for nothing American football should be left in America ! Let london & Toronto get there own leagues ... Personal Opinion !! -
Houston looking to trade 1st pick (Buffalo?)
T master replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yah but when ever conventional wisdom tells you one thing the Bills do the exact opposite . Last year every one said there wasn't a QB worthy of the first round what did the Bills do ? Take a QB in the first round ! 4 Years ago we had 2 good running backs Lynch & Fred , what did the Bills do with their first pick CJ at 9 . Then if you look back at other picks like when Orapko, & Matthews were sitting there for the taking & we past over them it just fortifies the argument ! So if you try to figure out the brain trusts in this camp you'll be like a dog chasing your tail . -
