  1. you can run deep out of the slot too its all how your offense is designed. I don't get why people say because he is fast he should only play on the outside well what kind of fast is he. TJ graham would probably not be good in the slot because he is not very quick he has good straight line speed, but Goodwin can run all the routes and when matched up with the slower slot corners and possibly linebackers it is a mismatch. in a cover two defense the two outside routes will have a safety on top and you can use a fast receiver like Goodwin to split the safeties. there are infinite possibilities of coverages and formations to say that a player cant play in this position or that position.
  2. you do realize that more than one route can be run from the slot. why wouldn't you use Goodwin in the slot? why the **** not whoa you really showed me with your zero examples.
  3. I would absolutely not trade them. we trade spiller and fred retires we are left with what? a pick that we will have to use on another RB. we trade SJ we then have no no.1 receiver and no no.2 receiver and a bunch of rookies and a second year wr that isn't very good. we trade both of them and we need to replace both of them with the picks that we get for them with no guarantee that the replacement players we get will be even close to as good. I will never understand why people want to trade away our good players. do you enjoy losing records and being a farm team for the nfl???
  4. its not spiller vs Jackson its spiller and Jackson vs Hackett. spiller needs space to run. gaileys spread offense created monster running lanes and mismatches. we would have 4 WRs on the field, spread the defense out and run on that spread out defense. now we have 3 TEs and a WR bunched close to the line so the defense is all very close to the line. we are asking our RBs to run thru a pile of 21 people. it is idiotic. spreading the offense and defense out will help EJ with his progressions and presnap reads it will help the RBs it will help everyone
  5. lmfaooooo you do know he is talking about the steelers game... don't you?
  6. He's young and has missed a bunch of time. However I am seeing the same problems that I saw in college. I hope he progresses and becomes the franchise quarterback we need
  7. Exactly. I guess Justin Houston and tamba Hali are cashing it in after not sacking tuel last week
  8. I see you haven't watched the last two weeks Yes... There was no running back or TE to chip him. IF you watched the game today and that's a big IF you would have seen that the steelers doubled Mario with two tackles. They used mike Adams as a TE to block Mario.
  9. Watch a highlight video of ej you will see how inaccurate he is. I didn't watch ej in college but I watched some of the highlights of him and I wasn't impressed. Never hit his receivers in stride and under threw most of his deep passes
  10. How did we go from a solid team with so much potential to the worst team in the league in one week?
  11. How long before the pop warner team cans him Lmao really smh
  12. That's like being the substitute qb coach. We need a guy who's only job is to work with the QBs not someone that has a bunch of other responsibilities and will get to the QBs when he gets to them. Hackett is the O-coord and QB coach.
  13. Cj along with Fred have an excuse. We don't throw well enough to get the defenders to stop keying in on the run. If we could pass the run will open up. Also the read option blows the play calling is suspect
  14. Ej has shown me nothing to say he is a franchise QB. He hesitates and thinks too much which lead to late and inaccurate throws. He has horrible mechanics however they can be fixed. He misses a lot of throws because of his mechanics and footwork. Don't know how many times I have heard an announcer say if he would have set his feet that was a TD. He just flat out doesn't throw to open receivers down the field and dumps the ball off. Idk if that's by design or what but they are on the field and open. With no pressure and a good pocket he throws a 3 yard pass in the dirt. His touch on short passes needs work. His outs need more zip. He has a receiver open and throws him covered. Now let me list the good things he has done. Umm... He dinked and dunked us down the field on a defense playing prevent in preseason. He dinked and dunked us down the field against the panthers playing prevent. Ummmm....
  15. Under thrown by maybe 3 yards. And was interfered with before the ball was caught. That's the 4th blatant PI not called
  16. Than the posters here lol I wouldn't doubt it. I'm pissed at the bills so I'm not talking or petting him today.
  17. U guess they aren't gonna call PI on the steelers. That's the third PI on third down that hasn't been called.
  18. There has to be a better way to have a discussion during game day than this. It sucks having to dig thru pages
  19. The play calling is different for ej than it is with Thad and tuel. It seems hack doesn't trust ej at all.
