  1. Win, I could care less its not like we would do anything with the pick anyway.
  2. Ive been harping on your comments all year but these ones were spot on. Horrible game on all sides. Few bad calls didnt help but we deserved to be blown out in this one.
  3. get over it. Dolphins fans say the same thing about our win vs them. We are what we are. We aren't making the playoffs. Etc Etc. Trying to think about that just gets me more depressed about this whole scenario.
  4. Agreed this was our year to finally make it which is what really sucks
  5. By far Rodnaks best article. He definitely is special and I hope he's here for a long time.
  6. Thought this was pretty interesting, I feel as though the defensive statistics that are used to judged top defenses are faulty but this is right where I see our defense being in the NFL. Bruschi instead has put together his own formula, averaging what he views as the four key statistics: points allowed (only on defense, not including pick-sixes or special-teams scores), red zone defense (measured by percentage of touchdowns allowed versus total trips), third-down percentage and total turnovers (created solely by the defense, not including special teams). Bills were # 8. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-england-patriots/post/_/id/4753634/tedy-bruschis-defensive-index-2
  7. agreed, put Goodwin/Woods on the outside and Stevie inside.
  8. This already was answered in the summer: In exchange for getting home games early in the season, we got a lot of teams playing off Byes. Brandon felt it was more important to sell out the home games. I tend to think winning takes care of any problems and have for 14 seasons now.
  9. I think this is your best summary of the year unfortunately, what an awful game.
  10. Like getting punched in the face for 3 hours straight. Really am not sure of much of anything.
  11. biggest waste of a signing at the time and now. Only thing he was good for was getting 3rd-1s and yet we just stopped doing that like midway through the 2011 season. Otherwise he's a scrub with stone hands.
  12. Worst game I have ever seen in person was by far Dallas, the atmosphere in the stadium that night was special and to lose like that was just awful. Pats on MNF to open up the season would be second just because of the way we lost with the stupid !@#$ing fumble.
  13. It is just really sad to think that with a healthy EJ's even mediocre play we win the Cleveland game (I refuse to believe that we lose that game without EJ getting hurt) and certainly one of Cincinnati/More than likely Chiefs. Those 2 wins put us at 5-4 with a excellent chance at 10 wins and even a half decent shot at 11. Just a shame.
  14. I also thought this week was Hacketts best game of the season. He certainly put Tuel in position to succeed and without that pick 6 I think he would've.
  15. I have been reading a lot of Grantland because the writing on ESPN is garbage and even though the writing on Grantland is incredibly biased toward Boston sports, the writing style is unique and there is some great commentary. Bill Barnwell does a weekly segment called "Thank You for Not Coaching" which talks about boneheaded moves H.C's make over the weekend. He uses stats and analytics to back up his commentary. Here is what he had to say about Marrone this week: On the Graham Challenge "Doug Marrone's high-reward challenge against the Chiefs. I'll get to teams employing David strategies in a moment, but I really liked Marrone's throw of the challenge flag on a long would-be catch by Marquise Goodwin on second down with 6:58 left to go in a 20-13 game. The catch was one of those rare plays in which a head coach has to make a judgment call; the pass was ruled incomplete on the field, but there was just enough on replay to suggest that Goodwin had caught the pass. It's worth a challenge — even risking a timeout in a close game — because the potential reward is so enormous. The catch would have advanced the ball from Buffalo's 6-yard line to midfield, providing a dramatic field-position shift while dramatically improving Buffalo's chances of scoring on the possession. Given that the Bills were starting Jeff Tuel against the virulent Chiefs defense, it might have been Buffalo's last chance at a big play. The Advanced NFL Stats win probability calculator estimates that a successful challenge would have increased Buffalo's chances of winning from 8 percent to 23 percent. I think that underestimates the shift, given Kansas City's defense. Marrone ultimately did not win the challenge, but it was a shot worth the risk." "I think Marrone has done a fantastic job in Buffalo so far, considering that he has played the league's second-toughest schedule and had to line up four starting quarterbacks in four months because of injuries. My only beef with Marrone? The halftime draws. On Sunday, he began a drive with 35 seconds left in the first half and the ball on his own 21-yard line by handing the ball to the already-injured C.J. Spiller, who went for two huge yards before the Bills gave up and ran to the locker room for halftime. Does Spiller really need the work? Is he going to forget how to run a draw?" Anyway I thought it was interesting to post seeing as many on here have been very negative on Marrone lately and I think it has had a lot more to do with the revolving door at QB than anything. http://www.grantland...coaching-week-9
  16. This actually may be the worst sunday slate of games I have ever seen. Sheesh.
  17. I agree with the strengthening of his legs particularly the muscles around his knees. Gotta strengthen them up so he doesnt get injured as much which I hope the bills make sure he does this offseason.
  18. RIP, lets hope we are ready to pass to team on to an ownership group who will keep us here when Ralphs time comes.
  19. I feel like Bill has been far more negative this year then i ever remember, I usually look forward to these posts but this year I just haven't agreed,
