  1. That would imply some kind of wonder. I'm not buying it. As for Dareus and The Hulk...I love it. From everything I've seen so far, I don't think he's cocky - I think he's just a kid (he's 21, for crying out loud) who's extremely excited about his future and is having a little fun getting into the spirit of the game. If he gets out there and sucks completely...oh well. But I'd rather assume that he's going to be awesome and let me prove me otherwise, instead of expecting him to suck. Where's the fun in that?
  2. How can an Edwards jersey look nice?
  3. The reality is that it doesn't matter a damn who's on the cover; sheep will buy the $60 roster update without thinking twice. I think it's a win-win for the cover at this point though - it's between a convicted felon and someone from the Browns. Either way, I'll laugh when I walk past it on the shelves.
  4. I had a free trial of it for one or two weekends last year. It did work well (when my internet connection actually worked). I don't mind watching the game later, but it was kind of depressing to have to text all of my friends and tell them not to call/text at all regarding the game. I know Philly has a few bars, but at over 1.5 hours away, it's too far for watching the game on TV. Mechanicsburg is looking like a feasible option, especially since there's a Wegmans there. The grocery stores here in town leave a bit to be desired, so it might be nice to go catch the game, then swing by to Wegmans and do my shopping for the week.
  5. Sadly, Sunday Ticket is not a consideration. We don't (and never will) have satellite, and I tour for a living, so I'm going to be gone for a lot of Sundays. Even if we could get satellite, to spend thousands of dollars (contract + Sunday ticket) just to watch a few games would be out of the question. I'll have to look into Ye Olde Ale House. I still don't know my PA geography - I hope Mechanicsburg isn't too far away!
  6. I recently moved to a small town in the northern part of Lancaster County (PA), and I haven't had any luck hunting down a promising site for the Bills games in September (if there's actually a season). Is there any sort of backers bar that I'm not discovering, or does anyone have any suggestions on a place that will at least throw the game on the TV? Thanks!
  7. If we lost by 29 but still forced two safeties, I'd be happy with that score.
  8. 1) No, it must not be that long. 2) 2.5 hours = snore? I'll try not to laugh about that while I'm driving for 30 hours this weekend.
  9. I don't know...they're pretty easy to watch if you're a fan of the opposing teams
  10. 9-15, 1 TD, 0 INTs. That is, if you take into consideration that what should have been a touchdown was dropped by the receiver, and the INT came after his target fell over. Just something to consider. I'm not saying he had an amazing, rookie of the year, best QB ever night. I'm just saying that for a guy who's never played an NFL game, he already looked as good as (and sometimes, better than) anyone we've got right now. But maybe Trent will really surprise us tonight. New coaching could make all the difference...we'll know soon enough!
  11. Does anyone have a video of the hit? I don't think I caught that game.
  12. I'll be honest here: I didn't really care who we drafted this spring, as we had a hell of a lot of needs. But after watching some of the Panthers/Ravens game last night, I have to say...I wish we had drafted Clausen. For his first NFL game, he looked better than anyone we've got on the team right now. I couldn't help but think "he could've been ours" the entire time I watched. Am I alone here? Oh well - here's hoping that Spiller ends up making me forget all about this tonight!
  13. I haven't read, watched, or listened to a single thing about Favre since his last game. Frankly, I don't give a rat's ass about him. And unless he somehow ends up on the Bills (and I'd rather he didn't), then I'm just going to keep on ignoring any press about him.
  14. I don't know if this is all of the games (sure doesn't seem like it), but you can actually BUY an online pass for the preseason from the NFL: https://preseason.nfl.com/nflpl/secure/registerform
  15. And if we don't own a passport or live thousands of miles from the stadium?
  16. And for those without NFL Network, (when) will we be able to watch these games?
  17. Odd...we haven't had a good thunderstorm here in a while.
  18. Then take more than a quick look. Last year, I used that site (and a freebie code) to get a photo of Poz absolutely DESTROYING Matt Schaub. A month later, Poz was in town for an in-store appearance. For a grand total of a few bucks (for shipping), it's a damn fine photo to hang on the wall. edit: THIS is the site I used last year. Same company (replayphotos), but a different web page. Hopefully the coupon will work on this. Ten pages of photos: http://www.replayphotos.com/nflphotostore/...LL__0001012.cfm
  19. Just tuned in...they were talking to "Brownie" (Chris Brown). No mention of Donte at all; said they'll be talking to Trent about cutting his hair soon. Gee, so glad I found the stream for this...
  20. I didn't realize this game was on until about an hour and a half ago. I got way too excited way too quickly. FOOTBALL!!!
  21. I'm 35-40 minutes from the closest bar. And at every one I've asked at, none have been willing to put a Bills game on even a single TV. Heck, the bar that I thought I had the best chance with actually laughed out loud when I asked. I told them I wasn't kidding, and that they'd make good money off of me trying to drink off the inevitable "Yeah, it's the Bills" kind of games - but still nothing.
  22. Good memory! About 30 miles due west from the center of the city. Even if the Bills were on network TV, I wouldn't be able to pick up the signal from my apartment. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm saving $100,000 by being there.
