  1. In consideration that the entirety of the NFL season operates on the "any given Sunday" approach, there are always surprise teams, and that the Bills won six games *despite* having an offensive line picked from guys in the stands, half the team on the injury list, a marketing guy as GM and Dick Jauron as coach, of course you have to be optimistic. When you can win six games against *all* those odds, imagine what you can do with less injuries, a solid draft, and a GM and coach who knows what their doing? Why not be optimistic? The only direction the team has...is up.
  2. Biggest weakness isn't a position, it's an overall lack of depth at each position, especially the lines. When we had injuries last year, we were on the third and fourth string. There was no second string in terms of talent.
  3. Any move up has got to be for Saffold. If they don't move up for him, the Eagles will surely get him at #37.
  4. Really? Mel Kiper would spontaneously combust if that happened.
  5. What would be nice....is for the Bills and Redskins to swap spots so we could land Okung.
  6. The rapidly changing screen in the back of him gave me a couple of seizures, but once i picked myself up off the floor and patched up my head wound, it wasn't too bad of a video to watch. Did remind me though of some local 6pm newscast from 1991 with the tastefully minimalistic set.
  7. Could always be a three way trade ala the Eric Dickerson trade in 1987. You'd have the Steelers sending BR to say the Bills (hypothetically) for either the #9 or a second round in 2010 and second round in 2011. The Bills in turn, trade BR to another team for a slew of picks.
  8. I agree that Modrak will probably be gone once this draft is over. The work on the 2010 draft was already underway when Nix and Co. came into town. I'd think Nix and Whaley want their own guys.
  9. Two old players past their primes. I'll pass. Wouldn't be shocked to see Holt get released before the season. I'm convinced that PFT has created a hysteria by way of their webpage layout. It's in big black bold letters, so it must be important.
  10. The only place I see TO heading to is Minnesota.
  11. Oh, I don't want Maybin to fail. I'd love for him to be a dominant LB in the 3-4 and chalk up last year to the holdout and the Tampa-2. I just don't think the Bills have the luxury of taking a guy at #9 that won't produce in 2010. I realize for every Maybin you'll get an Orakpo that will transition just fine. I just read these negatives and I see Maybin 2.0. http://www.draftcountdown.com/ScoutingRepo...erry-Hughes.php
  12. Looks like another Aaron Maybin tweener. Why would Nix take a risk with another one when we aren't sure how Maybin is going to do in the 3-4? Too much risk for a pick at #9.
  13. I'd move up to take Okung if the opportunity presented itself. I'd pass on Bradford, and Suh will be taken. I'd be giddy if we somehow landed an elite LT.
  14. I could see Pittsburgh doing this trade because the Rooney family is getting shelled by its fans to do the deal and that the Rooney family are ardent Catholics and have donated barge loads of money to battered women and domestic abuse charities in the Pittsburgh area. So keeping BR on the roster with these accusations is probably a bitter pill the size of two aircraft carriers, to swallow for them. Rooney got blasted for supporting Obama in the last campaign, given that the patriarch and the family as a whole are very conservative.
  15. I think Mike Iupati will crack the top four. I think some team will take a gamble that they can teach him RT or even LT over taking a chance on the work ethic and commitment of say Anthony Davis.
  16. Why? We already have a young, pass catching TE in Shawn Nelson. The reason he was drafted.
  17. I guess my point is that if you have a less than great passing game, of course you'll try to run the ball more.
  18. The common denominator is that all the teams that were used as examples had average or below average quarterbacks for the years cited.
  19. I wish we could throw to him during a game.
  20. We won't do any worse than we did last year. Six or up. When has the Bills fortunes ever been decided by the other team? It's always about implosion with the Bills. I'm not worried about the Jets with Holmes or the Dolphins with Brandon Marhsall. The Bills secondary is one of the best in the league. Stopping the run, on the other hand...
  21. Why would the Bills use a second round pick on one of the units where there is an identified starter? I know depth is important, especially with our magnetism of injuries, but why not spend that extra pick on the lines or linebackers?
