  1. Historical Correction: They did not let Greg Bell go. He was sent to the Rams as part of the 3 team trade brought Bennet to Buffalo and Dickerson to the Colts.
  2. An then he turned around the next year and obtained a first round pick for Peerless Price, who has arguably been more of a dud than DB. In fact, TD would never of gotten a first round pick, or anything for that matter, if it wasn't for Drew throwing him the ball. So ulitmately, one could rationize that we ultimately ended up with Willis McGahee for the number one we sent to NE for DB. Looks like a good deal to me.
  3. In the cell with the formula, go to Format Cell and select Custom Select the number format you want and then type ":1". . I just checked it and it works.
  4. I would not even be bringing this up if it did not look like Teddy was going to be okay, but... Does anybody think Milloy's comments regarding playing for the money versus Championships make a little more sense. These guys play a violent game, that can be taken away from them in an instant. I do not begrudge anybody for taking the money when they have the opportunity, most other things being equal. Also, winning Championships depends on a whole host of factors that are not under an individual's control. To bypass the opportunity at making more money, or volunteering to take a lot less money, to take that chance is foolish. Of course if LM had come here and underperformed I probably would not feel the same way, but I do not believe anybody can fault his effort.
  5. TB lives in my town, and our kids go to the same preschool, and not an exclusive private one either. My wife has met his wife and talks about what a nice family they are. He has also donated game jerseys for multiple fundraisers. I must say, being a transplanted Bills fan here in NE, it is easy to get get caught up in the media's overhype, and obnoxious attitudes. However, as players (besides Harrison) and coaches, they really should be respected and admired.
  6. Coach is a true charger If Carl Mauck ever wants to give up coaching in the NFL, he can always try the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Mauck was hired by San Diego to replace Hudson Houck, one of the best line coaches in football, a hiring that came only days after Mauck charged across the field at the Las Vegas All-American Classic, a college all-star game, and threw a punch at an opposing coach for calling a blitz in a game in which blitzing was banned. Mauck was coaching the East team's offensive line, and when he realized the blitz had been run and his unsuspecting quarterback was put at risk, he flew into a rage and then flew across the field. Although a little more restraint might have been called for, Mauck was trying to defend his players against a breach of coaching ethics that, in a sport as violent as football, could have jeopardized a quarterback's future. Bet there was no blitzing after that.
  7. I ordered one for my son at Christmas from Laux sporting goods and it came on time, and the proper size. http://www.lauxsportinggoods.com/billszone.phtml
  8. My best goalie memory from the eighties was Mike Vernon for Calgary in the playoffs in 1988 (or 1989) I was in college so it is hard to keeep track. they all kind of run together.
  9. The 'Mastercard' pictures were better...
  10. You could have set your watch by it. We don't hear from Sullivan for two weeks on the Bills as there is nothing negative to write about. Then, amazingly, he has to write a Pats puff piece on the eve of the game. Of course, if the Bills win....there won't be an article on Monday.
  11. Didn't they do that the first game against the Pats. They were even about to go no huddle when Johnny Greer pulled up lame.
  12. In looking at the game, the best way to go at the NE Defense, especially now with the injuries, is a power running game, with some well placed play-action passing. In the game against the Rams, NE had no fear of the running game, so they were able to flood the zones to compensate for their short-comings in the secondary. I think I even saw Phifer playing Free-Safety at one point. If WM can get moving, they will have to keep the LB's close, and the maybe even have Harrison cheat up, leaving the young corners exposed against Moulds and Evans. As long as the Defense continues to play well, and the Bills avoid big mistakes, they could be in line for an upset.
  13. Just to add to other points on the board regarding McGahee's entry into the game an the improvement of the O-Line and Drew's play. I believe that one major factor is that team's cannnot sell out the blitz up the middle due to WM's ability read the play and bounce it to the outside, whereas TH more or less runs to where the hole is supposed to be. As has often been said, the one place to really get to Drew is up the middle. If D's cannot out-man up the middle in fear of WM, Drew will continue to get time.
  14. I don't know if there is a way to look it up, but I would be very interested in seeing what the differential after halftime for Rushing yards against. It seems like in every game, the opposing Offense is doing well on the ground in the first half, but getting stuffed in the second half. I believe the scoring against in the second half is well below as well. Speaks well for making adjustments at the half.
  15. When I left for work this morning, there were only 3 game highlights downloaded. It was probably just a system malfunction.
  16. Another good site is Slate.com. It has a summary of each recent poll by State along with a number of other interesting polling data. Right now there summary shows Bush 270 Kerry 268 Interestingly though it shows only 46% think Bush should be re-elected, and 53% think that the Country is on the wrong track. It is definitely going to be a long night/early morning on Nov 9-10.
  17. I cannot believe Bledsoe took a sack on the first play of the final drive. After that it was all over.
  18. I know it probably would not have made a difference in the long run, but what the heck was that call on the Holding in the end-zone. 'It started on the 1 yard line'. ...Yeah but it ended in the endzone...and the ball was in the end zone. Just another item in a very frustrating game.
