3rd round draft pick snap counts
NeverOutNick replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
We’re such a good FO with our late round picks. It’s actually very impressive and also maddening because they SUCK (outside of cook) in the 2nd/3rd round. I wish they’d just get playmakers early. Trading up was fine but what if you did it for Luther Burden to help Josh out instead of another who cares DT, 2 years in a row Carter over Troy Franklin and Sanders over Burden. I honestly believe it’s only because we have a defensive HC that we keep going to this well early in the draft while neglecting the WR position by just throwing cash at scrubs who haven’t done anything in league like Samuel and Palmer. -
The panthers “throttled” the falcons last week and got destroyed by the patriots this week. The Jags may be better coached this year but I need to see it for a full season from Lawrence. He’s all hype imo and after 4 years, the luster of being the next can’t miss prospect has wore off. He’s way too inconsistent

Evaulation (of this team) after a quarter of season gone
NeverOutNick replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great write up! Depicts how great Josh is despite the flaws in roster building and coaching. This team is a family which is awesome but just imagine how great it could be with parents (Beane and McD) who actually knew how to take care of their prodigy of a son. Still think we finish 13-4 or better but last week was a game against the worst team in the league with 10 days off. Despite New Orleans putting together its best effort it was still Spencer Rattler running wild on us, a guy who wouldn’t be most teams back up. We should’ve been sitting starters at half time. McD, after 8 years and countless draft picks and free agents poured into his side of the ball still can’t get the other team off the field on third and longs. Our Bills will still be amazing this year and make a deep playoff run but in a year with such incompetence around the league and having the best player in the NFL and the easiest schedule there should be no question (outside of a Josh injury) we should finish 15-2 and have the #1 seed on our way to winning our first Super Bowl championship. Here’s hoping Josh can carry us. Go Bills PS I was dead wrong on Cook, as long as he’s not asked to make a game winning catch he’s amazing. And Shakir is my favorite Bill outside of Josh. Love everything about him -
💯 he’s not a good QB. He plays a good half once in a while and has a plethora of weapons but he and the Jags are exactly that…jags He’s playing great football this year and if he didn’t have a hurt throwing arm I think they win last week but the dude when healthy is amazing with 2 minutes left and the game on the line. I may be in the minority but he’s a top 6 QB in this league

Ravens at Chiefs - who do you want to have their third loss?
NeverOutNick replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will always choose a chiefs loss over any other team regardless of the future schedule. I want them to not even make the playoffs this year who cares about the narrative as long as we win a Championship -
3 HOFers in 4 years if you count Justin Jefferson…
-
I agree a psycho who DOESN’T recklessly injure his teammates when trying to make a tackle. He’s worth the risk with our locker room and if he doesn’t buy in see ya
-
I would 100% give up next year‘s first round pick in order to get two first round picks to be able to move up for one of the studs in the 2027 draft but even then I’d still draft a wide receiver next year in the third or fourth round. There are always good receivers in that range. Just need a decent scouting department. Look at Teslaa, Lions traded a few 6th round picks to move up and grab him. and yes unload Samuel. He’s worthless
-
Every year is a year to take a WR. Maybe not first round but you need to get cheap young good talent to grow with Josh instead of these jag nothings like Samuel and Palmer that we overpay.
-
I don’t like the drops but he did have a couple nice grabs as well. I don’t think he’ll ever be a true #1 because he can’t separate. He’s more Higgins or a modern day Plaxico and that’s fine but I do like the fight in him this year. Never gives up on a play, always trying to get to the ball for Josh. Not sure he’ll ever be great but I’m happy with what he is. Palmer on the other hand has been the overrated underwhelming guy he’s always been thus far. Big contracts for free agent WRs (Samuel and Palmer) is Beanes Achilles. Maybe start drafting more cheap guys instead 🤔

Agreed although I don’t think Franklin is ST only. Dude can play safety and I’m hoping better than Hamlin (which isn’t a tall order)
-
That’s a fair point on Ogunjobi. We really don’t know what he’s got left in the tank or if it’s any better than what we have.
-
Agreed both fantastic LBers when not injured and Shaq even at his advanced age is still such an athlete. I’ve always liked him. Hope he can stay healthy all year for us because we need him
-
If he was the best or one of the best PRs in the league it would be different but the dude hasn’t looked great this year. He’s a solid returner but I would rather not lose a D lineman to another team (even if they’re underperforming right now) just to keep Codrington on the active roster. Very good chance he makes it through waivers to us and he can come back if another injury happens
-
If he gets cut I’ll understand but he’s been awesome since he got here unlike the other 3 I’d cut. How you’re actually helping on gameday matters to me and he’s good. Not as easily replaceable imo but if they want to risk it that’s on them. I think with injuries already adding up around the league and people seeing the tape he’d get picked up. But hopefully he wouldn’t I honestly think Beane pulled a fast one on the league and snuck Franklin on the roster and it will pay off for us down the stretch. Not usually a STs dude but kid can ball and from his tape looks like a decent safety.
-
Beane isn’t dumb he won’t release someone he doesn’t think he can store on the PS. Regardless of what any fan thinks, Epenesa and Solomon would get picked up quickly by another team. Beanes not going to care about the numbers on the active roster if he can elevate players from the PS and he is probably working the phones already for potential trade partners to see who wants one of our D lineman. If it doesn’t work though, Hamlin, Ingram and Codrington have the best shot of making it through waivers and onto our PS. Franklin would get picked up too with how fantastic he’s been on ST and his history of being this good and unlike Codrington he can actually play his position outside of ST which is valuable with McBeane. I like ingrams development and hope he’s not cut but if they believe Strong is ready and Hairston is healthy it could happen but solid corners are hard to find and they get hurt a lot during the season so I wouldn’t risk it. Like I said before Samuel (who cares) and Hamlin (easy PS stash) would be my first 2 cuts and then if you can’t trade a D lineman for real value or someone isn’t injured before the decision needs to be made than sorry Codrington but one of our RBs or Shakir is returning kicks.
-
Seems like they like Keonta Jenkins so they could leave Grable on IR a little longer until Milano is healthy than activate him and Grable and bye Jenkins And whichever D lineman doesn’t cut the mustard can be traded at that point if no other significant injury.
-
Shaq Thompson looked pretty good so if we did have to put Milano on temporary IR we’d be fine over this cupcake stretch. Also if that happened and we could activate both Grable and Hairston from IR and bring in the 2 suspended knuckleheads I’d just get rid of the 3 players that contribute the least to our current roster: 1. Curtis Samuel - expendable and not a real WR 2. Codrington - luxury pick not needed 3. Hamlin - easily stashed on PS. Hancock time 🥳 I get that some people look strictly at numbers but I LOVE our OL depth and don’t want to trade any away in case of significant injuries later in the season and why not stack up the DL and let the cream rise to the top. Odd man out can be traded near the deadline if need be. Solomon and Epenesa have value even if us Bills fans don’t see it and plus Jackson seems to be entrenched on the not ready for action/ inactive list for the time being
-
Was on board with Codrington cut for Hairston. If Milano is healthy you can’t IR him but I like the idea if he really does need the time. The only one I don’t want to see is Franklin gone. He’s been awesome on ST and I have to believe he’d be just as good or better than Hamlin at safety in a pinch so bye bye Hamlin go to PS (no other team is picking him up for their active roster) and start activating Hancock if healthy. I am also fine with Curtis Samuel being cut like Gunner said earlier. Moore fills what Samuel was supposed to be and then some
-
Love him! If he and Walker turn into the studs they’re already looking like then Beane killed it Even better is if Hancock turns into a solid safety to replace the reckless Rapp
-
I get people trying to defend rookies, but when you’re a high draft pick, you’re expected to contribute right away regardless of how our organization bucks that trend. Maybe Sanders will work out but would’ve been much happier going after Luther Burden if we were trading up. But hey he hasn’t done anything either 🤷🏻♂️

Week 3, Fish v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
NeverOutNick replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills 34 Dolphins 27 Feels like a high scoring game -
I wish this was true but they’ll still win the division. Rice is a really good WR and Andy Reid will get the most out of Worthy when healthy. Mahomes has taken a step back but the NFL will do its part to ensure any close game goes team Swifts way. But I’m definitely hopeful that LAC “charges” full steam ahead and wins the division

Investing a 1st round pick in the 2024 draft would have been the bills trading up a few picks to get Brian Thomas Jr. instead of trading back a couple times into the 2nd round for whatever WR remained. And I like how Coleman is developing I just wish the Bills took the WR position as seriously in the draft as they try to with the D line
