He would never do it. He wants to win one for Buffalo but if the Pegulas and their brain trust don’t get the FO and coaching straightened out I bet he’ll just play out his current contract and then leave. It’s not his responsibility to fix incompetence at that level. He should be protected and not put in that position
-
It’s not even his philosophy that’s flawed. He’s a good dude and brought a great culture BUT he’s not a good NFL head coach. He’s horrible with game management and has no feel for in game adjustments. His teams consistently look flat coming out of long breaks and when’s the last time his defense has stopped a 3rd and long. It’s been time since the 13 second fiasco and every year there’s just more of the same blunders.
-
I know you’re not saying this but I want to get out in front of it. The defense being “the worst in the Josh Allen era” is only more reason McD needs to go. He and Beane go all in on defense every year in the draft and free agency and always come up short on that side of the ball while giving Josh the leftover scraps to keep him mildly amused.

I would’ve fired him 2 years ago and hired Jim Harbaugh
-
He’s a duck not a beaver and he had an awful combine BUT he was awesome in college and no way he should’ve fell to the 7th round. If you read any of my WR rankings, I loved him as a mid round pick for us. Ridiculous that he fell to 7th regardless of his measurables.

SNF: Detroit @ Kansas City (no Bills stuff in this thread please)

I’ve seen enough to see what the dude is. But you’re right no one knows for sure. This is all speculative except for the fact that McD is the definition of groundhogs day as a HC. -

I disagree with you. Josh may have been asked his opinion on OC from McD but Pegula isn’t asking Josh if he should fire McD or Beane. I wish he did get asked but even if he did Josh isn’t that guy. He’s not Rodgers, he’s a good dude and it’s not his job to find his next coach or axe his current coach. Ownership and Pegulas inner circle should be protecting Josh and going after coaches like Jim Harbaugh when they’re available instead of staying the course just because ticket sales are good. Mahomes has played pretty lackluster the last 3 years but Reid and Spagnola bail him out continually. McD isn’t good enough to take this team any further than it’s been getting. He’s a good person who built a strong culture but as a HC he gets out coached most weeks, is a horrible game manager, and I’ve never seen a team give up so many 3rd and longs every week under a coach. If he can win a SB this year I’ll eat my words but like I’ve said before, this is the easiest schedule, and every “contender” has started off awful and we have no real competition for the 1 seed. We should run away with the 1 seed with a 15-2 or 14-3 record but because of our coaching we will somehow blow games we shouldn’t (just like last week) and finish 11-6 or 12-5 and be the 2 or 3 seed and lose once again to a more prepared team in the playoffs because our D will suck and Josh will have to carry the team on his back. But hey it’s year 8 with the best QB in the league and the same HC. Maybe this year will be different -

Josh would never ask for McD to be fired that’s not who he is and that’s not his job. The team needs to look out for him. -

Perfect analogy for what’s going on in Buffalo 💯 -

It will be because of coaching that we go 12-5 of 11-6 and lose the 1 seed instead of 14-3 and win it. Like I said before Josh shouldn’t have to be Superman every week for us to win a game. Sometimes the coaching staff has to actually do its job to bail us out and we just don’t have that guy as a HC or DC -

The McD factor. Easiest schedule of any team in the NFL yet we have to struggle every week to get a W unless Josh puts on his Superman cape. -

If only he was as good as Milano when he actually was healthy -
My general rule is I’ll buy my tickets last minute if it’s only me and a buddy BUT if I’m buying for a big group I try and get a row where we can all be together as soon as possible.

You’re spot on but is anyone who is not a McD loyalist really surprised at this point. In a year where we should easily be finishing 15-2 or 14-3 at worst with the 1 seed locked, we will finish 12-5 or 11-6 and miss out on the 1 seed because of our coaching. Josh should be allowed to have a subpar game and us still win games but with our current HC it just isn’t realistic.

Down to 5 of us after a bunch of people took AZ last week. Hopefully everyone takes GB and they lose. I’m going Patriots. Worst case they lose and I’m still happy
-
I’m not arguing about anything either. I just don’t think Trevor Lawrence is that good of a quarterback. I doubt he’ll be in the MVP conversation at the end of the year because he’s not consistent at all
-
Did you really think wow that guy looks really good? Congratulations on the win. I’m happy because they beat the Chiefs at home, but my opinion didn’t change with him. He’s yet to put a full game together without multiple dumb decisions.

Benford only gets injured because Rapp is a moron and is super reckless when he tackles. Other than that, he’s he’s very dependable. I’ll give you Tre though. Hopefully Hairston comes back soon.

Where’s the juice at the position of Wide Receiver?

I’d be all about this if he still has it Or the packers who draft a couple every year… -

Moore at least has the potential since he can separate and run routes but he hasn’t done much of anything yet. That’s what happens when you take other teams retreads. Palmer, Samuel, Moore are all guys who didn’t rise on the teams they were on and even if I like that Moore and Palmer create separation they’re not going to ever be difference makers. Shakir is and even though Coleman can’t separate, he’s got some dog in him that encourages me to think he will be a Tee Higgins type WR the more he develops. In the end we need to start taking more chances on WRs in the draft instead of the jags since our FO will never pay big money for a true #1 (and I’m fine with that as long as they take more chances in the draft since there’s always a chance you hit on a game changer that way) -

When has he been good? He’s not an actual WR that can run routes he’s a gimmick/gadget guy. Just look at the one route he broke off to try and get open for Josh he completely bift it. -

Being in the league still doesn’t mean you were worth a top 100 pick. -
3rd round draft pick snap counts
NeverOutNick replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok let’s play this game: 2019 - Cody Ford (2nd) 2020 - AJ epenesa (2nd) and Zach Moss (3rd) 2021 - Carlos Basham (2nd) 2022 - Elam was a first rounder my B 2023 - Dorian Williams (3rd) 2024 - Bishop (2nd), Carter (3rd) 2025 - Sanders (2nd), Jackson (3rd) Thats A LOT of misses early on the defensive side of the ball. They’ve been bailed out somewhat by doing well later in the draft but when you consistently pass on weapons for Josh in order to beef up the D with lackluster talent it’s a problem. Maybe I’m a bit salty because the last couple years we either traded up for another D tackle instead for a WR for Josh (Luther Burden) or in what was regarded to be the best WR draft class in a decade we trade back for Coleman instead of up for BJT and then bypass Troy Franklin for buttoned up but can’t play Dwayne Carter. I loved the interception by Bishop and he is trending in the right direction but was he worth a 2nd round pick? I guess we’ll see. Basically, I’m saying we invest too much in the draft on D line misses in the early rounds. -
