  1. And yet Washington does not have a QB.
  2. Orton the magician - turns great field position into a loss!
  3. the offense ABSOLUTELY MUST score at least a FG here or the game will slip away. They need at least 30 yards and a FG.
  4. Horrible offense - can't even get 3 when starting inside Green Bay's 30. Will come back to haunt them...
  5. I was comparing the scoring output with Orton at QB to the scoring when Manuel was the QB. Two Jets games aside, I don't see much (in terms of scoring) that suggests that Orton is any better than Manuel. No doubt, Orton is throwing for more yards, but that isn't helping scoring much.
  6. But EJ didn't get 2 games against the Jets to pad his stats... Look, I am not saying that Manuel should be starting, just that if you take Orton's two games against the Jets out of the picture, he has been less than mediocre. No question that there are other problems around him including losing Jackson and Spiller, poor OG play and inexperienced WRs, but given how well the D has played and the good field position that they've provided the offense with, you'd expect an average NFL QB to score more points.
  7. That HAS to be one of the WORST calls ever. WTF on that non-fumble
  8. HAVE to keep him in the pocket
  9. Man, better not be pass rushing Manziel aggressively.
  10. Holy cow! Robert Woods rocks! I forget, what do they call it when a team gets the ball into that painted area at the end of the field?
  11. If the offense can score 10 points this half, they'll average 5 points per half. Really unacceptable.
  12. Pretty sure that Manuel or Tuel could "manage" the offense to zero points.
  13. The offense is very poor. Defense can't be expected to win every game.
  14. That is a good idea, but this team is awful at executing screens. Even when blockers get out in front of the receiver, they usually miss their blocks. That has been frustratingly true of OL, TEs and other WRs attempting to block on screen plays.
  15. Sadly, hope must be placed on Orton's passing because there is NO run game with this OL.
  16. OL is SOO BAD. No business going for it on 4th and short with this terrible line.
  17. They scored 13 stinking points. They've averaged 15 points in their last two HOME games. Look, I am not saying it is all Orton's fault, but while they are moving the ball better than earlier this season, they are still not scoring anywhere near enough. No, it isn't all Orton's fault - just as it wasn't all Manuel's fault...
  18. You say this in comparison to Orton? Have a look at Orton's first few year's in the league as a starter... His stats werent even as good as Manuel's. Now, to be clear I don't know if Manuel will ever become a good starting QB, but at least he *might*. Orton, on the other hand, is not going to suddenly improve after 9 years in the NFL. I am not suggesting that they bench Orton quite yet, but once this team falls out of playoff contention then unless Manuel has looked horrible in practice, he should get another shot.
  19. ...and score 13 points at home in a must-win game. ...and score 17 lousy points at home against a weak Minnesota team. Let's not pretend that they were t extremely lucky to beat Detroit and VERY lucky to pull out a win Vs Minn. in both cases, the defense won the game
  20. Question why you say that Orton gives them a better chance to win. How many points per game were the Bills averaging eith Manuel playing vs their points per game under Orton? Take out the Jets' implosion and it is pretty darned close - 12 game starter vs 9 year vet. How foolish does WGR's discussion about giving Orton an extension look?
  21. Because they scored 13 points at home. That isn't enough to win in the NFL
