You are right, Marino NEVER beat Kelly in the playoffs, and to the best of my knowledge, neither did Elway. I mean, don't get me wrong I love Jimbo, he was always my fav growing up, got his autograph and everything, but the percieved lack of competition during his tenure, no SB wins, and pre-free agency, which many point to as the ONLY reason buffalo was able to have sustained success. I think its bull, revisionist history stuff. But then again im not a talking head or nat'l sports writer that can defend those teams either.

Just a question, WTF has Billy Volek EVER done to make anybody think he would be a viable option as a starting quarterback. Did I miss something here? The guys a CAREER BENCHWARMER, and has NEVER shown the ability or desire to be a starter.

yeah manning and favre are in the top 5 and both HOFers, I honestly don't think many people outside of Buffalo would put Jimbo in the top 5 though, usually citing lack of competition, and he never won the big one. Thats just what i've heard. aikmans gotta be up there, and if you go by recent history, one could def make a case for brady over both favre and manning (kiss the ringS)

maybe frazier is the best guy for the job, and you guys have a different reason for not wanting him to be our HC. its not like he's gonna request the vikes cut or trade all their good defensive players, not much he can do about that, but that doesnt mean he's not a good strategist. Also, some teams blitz because its the only way to get penetration, kinda like a rapist mentality, they just gotta force their way in, but minn doesn't have that problem, their front 4 gets thru without gimmick blitzes most of the time, so maybe he's better than those other blitz happy guys. just sayin

I heard Billick told Russ that he was planning on bringing Mike tice and his loveboat with him, so he was crossed off the list.

First, narrow down the list the white guys with no previous HC experience, that do have interim experience, that may or may not be coordinators at the moment, then interview them all, and whomever will accept the least amount of money, thats or guy. somebody call tom cable the minute he gets fired, or we can pluck somebody like frank reich, it would make no sense and the fans would have a great guy to beat up for a few years.

What a jerk, he didn't have to kick the city, team and fans in the collective junk on his way out the door. oh, wait, I misread that, nevermind.

ok, my bad, so here's the new checklist: 1: must have been a winning HC with bad or mediocre players thus cementing his status as a genius 2: not a coordinator 3: no previous HC experience, this would constitute a retread 4: No blackies: it's an unspoken Buffalo rule so how bout a guy that was an interim HC that did moderately well with below average players?

i thought most people didnt like him cause he's a coordinator, and we don't like coordinators, I mean, most HC are just magically made, from a special head coach factory I thought. We havent had very good luck with coordinators, so Im gonna have to vote negative on another coordinator for HC, but no retreads either. So nobodys that already been a HC but also nobody that hasn't been a HC either. Does that help narrow the search?

Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State were all powerhouses at one point or another, its all about philosophy, the SEC teams tend to have that wide open style, because they recruit speed, why because they dont often play in the elements, unlike the big 10 teams that tend to play smash mouth running game football. Consequently, in recent years when the TOP SEC teams play the top big 10 teams in BCS games, guess who wins, SEC SEC SEC. finally, I never insulted you, so dont insult me, of call my opinion stupid, be mature, if we agree to disagree fine, but leave it at that.

I love being 30 min from 5 diff't state parks, 45 min to 3 diff't lakes, thousands of hiking and bike trails, 4 hrs to 3 difft beaches, an abundance of professional and college sports, and all the shorts skirts and sundresses that come out in the summer time. I don't know who you've talked to, but in comparison to rochester where i'm from, to greenville, sc where i live, Greenville is hands down better, the only drawback is not being able to go to the bills games often enough

How many Nat'l championships has the SEC won in the past decade???? For anyone that hasn't experienced the glory of southern living, you are really missing out. Everything is cheaper, the people are nicer, not all the congestion, and grey skies of western NY, It really is a breath of fresh air. and BTW, the whole clan things someone mentioned, grow up, I know more racist people from the rochester area than I do here. Oh, and there's a reason the SEC gets the majority of the best recruits, reputation, plain and simple. The SEC teams play exciting football, they have put tons of kids in the pros, and thats what many recruits are hoping for, a chance to be in the Nat'l spotlight. SEC pride is about letting the other conferences know who's boss, which of course is the SEC SEC SEC!!!!!!

I like the little spark he gave us, but he's not the answer, a solid backup maybe, but r.fitzy is in no way a long term starting qb in the NFL
