  1. I think the theory goes something like Russell Wilson didn't have awesome stats in his first half season and EJ didn't have great stats in his first half season so therefore EJ = Russell Wilson. I agree whole heartedly. Lynch is a very good back, but so is Fred Jackson. If Jackson had gone to Seattle and Lynch had stayed in Buffalo the public perception would be completely different.
  2. This has gotten blown so far out of proportion it isn't even funny. The guy's a bit of a showboat. Big f'n deal. It's not all that classy, but it's kind of entertaining too. I find the necessity to put every player in a box and expect the same lame tired regergitated bull **** out of them to be more offensive than anything Sherman said. I'm glad to see that the most pathetic members of our society have found yet another opportunity to cry about racism. I find everyone crying about racism in connection with this story to be more offensive than anything Richard Sherman did. To all the lilly white race crusaders, I'm sure Richard Sherman appreciates your support.
  3. I don't know the intense dislike you feel, so I can't say for sure, but I'd wager it's probably not. If you're sitting around fantasizing over torturing Tom Brady in real life, then yes, it's probably worse than pathetic. If, however, you simply hate Tom Brady the player, I'd say that's part of the fun of being a fan. I don't get why so many Brady fanboys have to point out his attributes whenever someone rips on him. I gotta think if you were watching the game with a friend and every time Brady screwed up and you yelled something to the effect of "you suck, Brady" he kept saying, "yeah, but you know he's one of the greatest ever," I'm guessing you'd find a reason not to watch football with him anymore. I know I would. In short, you're not the one with the problem, it's the guys who not only can't root against "the bad guy," but can't sit by while you do without taking the opportunity to give him a hummer that have the problem. I remember several years ago (I think the year Manning won the SB) and after Manning shook Tommy Tough Guy's hand every time the Pats eliminated him in the playoffs, Brady wouldn't shake Manning's hand after losing, and instead went straight to the locker room to cry. It's that kind of garbage that has me scratching my head when a Buffalo Brady fan talks about what a "class act" he is.
  4. As opposed to the guy watching wrestling correcting his friends' slander toward the heel, explaining to them that the heel is actually a very talented athlete who deserves respect. Lighten up, it's not that serious.
  5. Dude, your opinion doesn't even matter b/c you've already admitted you're a Patriots fan.
  6. It always turns my stomach when Bills fans come out of the woodwork to take a mouthful of Tom Brady. It's like the cuckold who is dead set on making sure everyone recognize the truth and reality that the guy his wife's !@#$ing is superior to himself in so many ways.
  7. Who thinks the Bills have only one hole? If that's in reference to my opening post maybe you should take a remedial reading course.
  8. Was it a throat slash? I thought he was miming "choke"
  9. I agree that his behavior was odd. It seems weird to me that your first reaction to realizing you're going to the SB is to taunt someone else instead of celebrating with your team, and the shouting afterward on the sideline was bizarre. I'm not that outraged about it, but yeah, it was weird.
  10. At first I thought it was a dick move that his first reaction to his team going to the SB was to run over and rub it in another guy's face, but it seems they'd been talking **** before that. No big deal IMO.
  11. Speaking of Skov, he's not quite the mold I'd envisioned, but I liked this quote about him: "...he gets the Stanford defense in the right position and knows the opposing offense as well as any player on the field." - The Sports Xchange
  12. I'm curious about Worrilds. I don't know how well he'd fit the position currently manned by Moats and Bradham, but He's spent the last 4 years developing in Pittsburg to where he's just recently become an asset in their defense. Given the Whaley - Pittsburgh connection and the Steelers cap issues it might be possible. It would be nice to poach a player after another team has spent the time bringing them up to speed for a change rather than the other way around.
  13. I don't mean to intrude on yall's argument, but are you saying good teams don't invest top picks on the lines?
  14. I should have addressed that one in greater detail. I was going under the assumption that Chandler will be re-signed, yet I have no basis for that assumption. Even if Moeaki is fully healed, I'd still consider TE a need if Chandler leaves on account of Moeaki's propensity for season ending injuries.
  15. What're you talking about? I'm great at achieving orgasm; it's my wife who can't do it. Oh, you weren't talking to me. Sorry, nevermind. You're Canadian so your opinion doesn't matter anyway.
  16. To tell you the truth, there are a lot guys who will be available that I'd be happy with. I've barely considered the D-line, but Luis Nix wouldn't break my heart. He wouldn't be my first pick but you could do worse than a big space filler to stop the run. Cyril Richardson is another I'd be happy with. I know 9 is a little early for a G but he's got a rare blend of size and athleticism, which is exactly what we need at our greatest position of weakness. Unless they're dead set on a particular WR I'd wait until the 2nd. There are a lot of quality prospects and at least one or two of them will be on the board when we pick in the second.
  17. Your Mike Williams comparison scared me a little. His size is impressive, but guys do tend to gain weight and I can't think of a successful 250lb WR, and I don't know how well he'd transition to receiving TE. I won't be disappointed if we take him, but I'd be a little nervous if I were the guy pulling the trigger on him with a top 10 pick.
  18. Not since those who "inform" the public got their guy in the WH. It reminds me of a lib actor turned quasi-conservative post 9-11 named Ron Silver. He said he and one of his anti-war peacenik Hollywood buddies were at Clinton's inauguration when they flew fighter planes over the proceeding. Ron turned to his friend irritated by the symbolism of these military planes. His friend told him "those are our planes now."
  19. I agree. I think this is far and away the biggest hole on the team. I didn't include it because it seems clear that we've got the guy the coaching staff thinks will grow into that position and I'm thinking in terms of holes to address in the offseason (although I'd still be open to drafting a QB either in the mid rds or if a top prospect falls to 9), but yes, that is our biggest weakness.
  20. To be fair, he's new to the position and maybe his problems will be corrected with experience, but Barr has been a liability against the run. He's a talented athlete and a highlight reel guy who destroys slow OTs with his speed rush, but he gets fooled a lot both against the run and on play action, he takes bad angles, and often takes himself out of the play. I suspect he'll notch respectable sack #s in the NFL, but his team will pay for those sacks with big runs allowed. Edit: I changed my mind (though not my vote). I want Mosley so when he lines up next to Kiko our LBs will be: Alonso Mosley.
  21. I keep hearing about all the many holes we have to fill this offseason but I just don't see it. Maybe it's a question of semantics - I think of a "hole" in this context as a position that doesn't have a legitimate NFL caliber starter to fill. Some may consider a "hole" any position that could use an upgrade, but by that definition any position that doesn't have an all-pro could be considered a hole and that's just silly. By my count the only hole we have on offense is LG. RG and RT could stand to be upgraded, but I don't really consider the team to be devoid of NFL talent at either postion. Same with TE. With Woods and Goodwin showing potential as rookies, and Stevie still in the mix, I don't see WR in that light either, although a big WR would be nice. On defense we could use a physical LB to help in run support. Otherwise, unless Byrd flies the coup, I don't see a position that doesn't have a solid starter to fill it. So help me out here, what am I missing?
  22. I picked Robinson but could just as easily have gone with Watkins or Mosley. I hesitate with Watkins because I don't know how well he fits what our offense is trying to do. There was a link in another thread that showed he catches more than half his passes behind the LOS on screen passes. I realize he's capable of running routes, but seeing as how we don't run a lot of WR screens I think he may be a poor fit for our offense seeing as how we rarely do that which he does best. Of course, I suppose it's also possible that we don't run a lot of WR screens b/c we don't have a Watkins type player, but I doubt it.
  23. Your family might be different, but most of the family troubles I've seen attributed to weed are due to some members of the family who just can't accept that Johnny smokes pot & Johnny refuses to quit smoking pot. The wailing and gnashing of teeth usually creates a lot of bad feelings but does dick **** to help Johnny or anyone else.
  24. Harvin is a bigger cap hit, is injury prone, and has character concerns. I'd keep CJ.
