I can't help it. I'm really pumped for this season.

Wayy to go mpl!! Loving all the positivity!!! This is why I love Bills fans!!! It is soo frigging hard to support your team and be positive especially after the product we have been subjected to these last 10 years. But we pick ourselves up every season and give it our all. If things go bad, we have about 6 months of off season to cry and curse and get it out of our system. Might as well be optimistic and supportive now!! OPTIMIST PRIME REIGNS SUPREME! -

I'm loving the optimism RFeynman!!!! We have a long way to go but I like the way things are shaping up. I hope it all comes together come game time. More than anything I would love to stick it to all those Doom 'n' Gloom reporters. 2010 baby!! its OUR TIME!!! -

Which Bills QB is most popular amongst fans right now?
BillsRUs replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Idk Mclem...all votes would be based on deep bias one way or the other seeing as how it isn't even training camp yet. We have no way of knowing who will come closest to realizing their true potential at least until after training camp/preseason games. I personally think it would be more prudent to judge our QB's come preseason. -

I hope for his sake he crab dances all the way to OTAs this time. -
Hey mpl, I haven't been posting here long, but I have noticed a trend of sorts. After every losing season we tend to indulge in a bit of Bills bashing, wallow in our failure, curse our players, the coaching staff, old RW and everything Bills. Hope always springs eternal though and we start looking forward to the draft, always hoping things will get better. When you've sunk as low as we have, there is no way to look but up. There will always be naysayers, who keep harping about how we will never amount to anything, how the coaching sucks, player sucks, scheme sucks..whatever. They usually start around the time we start our losing streak and go on till OTAs. Suffice to say, the act wears thin. You are not the only one sick of losing. Most of the naysayers and doom 'n' gloomers quiet down by OTAs. Its a fresh start and we all want our Bills to succeed. We want to give them a chance because lets face it, crying about our failures is getting quite boring after 10 years. I respect your opinion. I just think our feelings about the Bills tend to reflect a sine wave and right now most of us are high on optimism and are looking forward to the season. I think thats why you're facing a lot of flak. Most of what you've been saying has been said by countless other people for six months or so now. Most of us have got it out of our system. Welcome to the board and I hope this season gives you something positive to talk about. P.S... Sorry no cliff notes.

Allow me to add my $0.02 worth WTF expression. As someone already mentioned, how is he supposed to come back in the middle of the season to play a position he's never played before? And what team would send out a bat signal in the middle of the season to some full time restaurateur out in Texas? Unless of course his real name happens to be Jack Bauer. In that case all is forgiven. I look forward to a trade at this point, because it appears his heart isn't into this at all. I don't think Gailey is looking for a " Oh-hum I guess I'll show up if you reaaaaaaaallly want me to." kinda attitude.
-
I see us getting rid of those free agent DBs we signed. I think we keep TE Matthews. Gailey knows him well and is impressed with him. Keith Ellison , Chris Kelsey might be gone too. We're going to cut a QB by training camp I believe. It definitely won't be Brown, hes development player so gets this year off.

Next Buffalo Bills QB to throw for 300 yards?
BillsRUs replied to yall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While it may seem far fetched at this point, 1/3 of all the respondents did vote for Trentative. You never know how things will turn out. OPTIMIST PRIME REIGNS SUPREME! -
It's all wishful thinking at this point. A nudge nudge wink wink understanding that a "donation" to the city will result in a sale to the Kelly group might be something the NFL will be ok with. The Wilsons get tax breaks, Buffalo gets some much much much needed monetary respite from the sale to the K-gun group and we still have our Buffalo Bills. I realize I sound naive, but since we don't know anything for sure, it's all good.
-
Not going to wish ill upon anyone. Going to keep my fingers crossed and hope RW didn't cheap out on the lawyer. How about donating the bills + stadium to the city of Buffalo and hey Buffalo, how about selling it to the Kelly group? Win-Win-win.

Now here's an idea to keep the Bills in Buffalo

It's time for Danny Wegman to step up! -
Don't mean to hijack the thread, but how come we're not ripping on Schobel? He's got as much to learn about the new system, if not more, as ML. And we desperately need a quality pass rusher going into the season. Its **** or get off the pot time Aaron.
-
aaah you got me there!
-
All round nice guy. I hope he gets to call Bill's games one day.

Is your moral threshold level set that low or was that a joke? If you were to apply that rationale then most people would end up being outstanding denizens of society. " Sure he molested a lotta girls....at least he didnt sleep with his sister!" or " Sure he murdered dogs ...but heyy at least he didnt have sex with his sister!" or " Yeah hey totally bannged that 15 year old prostitute....but at least she wasnt his sister!" ** Whatever, I'm not judging you at all, I just find it wth hilarious that you would compare some loudmouth hyping up his team mates in the offseason to some dude who committed incest as a kid and will forever suffer for it.

I heard that ML tried real hard to make it to OTAs. But every time he pulled out of his driveway, the cops would pull him over!

Hey mpl I don't really follow college ball, so I go by what some of the more informed posters here on TBD say. The general consensus on TBD as well the many news articles pre draft was that a. the 2010 draft wasn't a deep QB draft and that b. the 2011 draft will be a deep one. Some of the QB's being talked about right now include Jake Locker (washinton), Andrew luck (stanford), Ryan Mallet (ark) among others. If our QBs turn out to be a duds again and we end up in the middle of the pack in the first, I wouldn't be suprised if we went all out to get one of those QBs. If we're lucky, Seattle agrees to a Lynch trade for a second and we use that second to move up the table in 2011. Just saying.
-
I guess you missed that pinned Tebow thread right before and during the draft. To summarize, I believe we had an equal number of Bills fans pro and against Tebow. In the end I believe we were interested in Tebow, but not to the extent that we would make a huge reach for him. I think we went after the best available player (in the Bill's opinion) in each round. We picked up a developmental player in Brown and if he doesn't pan out then no biggie. Either way we knew going in that whoever we picked in the first two rounds had to be able to come in and contribute immediately. Tebow wasn't it. It was Bradford or no one QBwise. I think McDaniels took a big gamble for Tebow wrt to the picks he gave up. He'll either end up unemployed for the rest of his NFL career or will be heralded a future HOF genius, depending on which way the Tebow coin falls. Look for us to go after a franchise first round QB next year.
-
I would rather collect picks and make a strong run at a franchise QB next year.
