  1. Sweet! Bills will "reach" with their 1st round pick and pass on can't miss starters. Another year of missing the playoffs begins...
  2. You should be able to watch the game in Buffalo. The NFL considers the game a sell - out because Rogers Communications purchased the tickets. The Bills and the NFL have recieved their money for the game already. This is a great sports week in the Las Vegas market for all ex-Buffaloinans. Sabres game on Versus tonight and the Bills game on Thursday.
  3. Enjoy the experience. My last game was in 99, and I had a blast! Have not been back since I left town in 2000.
  4. I am happy for JP in winning the first UFL championship. While happy for JP, I do not want to see him back in a Bills uniform. Been there, done that, did not work.
  5. I have read all of your comments with interest. My take on the subject is this: I have no problem with Shanahan taking over the Bills. Mike's name will give the organization credability. Back during the glory years, free agents would come to Buffalo to play with Kelly, Smith, ect. Polian knew who to contact in order to make things happen. My point is that Buffalo needs one person with credability to join the team, and others will follow. If we somehow make it to SB #5, I will worry about the emotional pain of losing it then. I remember the pain of all four losses. It still stings today if I let it. That pain is STILL better than the crap we have watched this past decade.
  6. Ted was a good DC for the Bills (#1 Defense in 99) but I would not be excited if he was our Head Coach. In fact, I would be ticked off.
  7. I was happy that they went down fighting for once. Not happy that they lost, but happy that they showed emotion and had some fight to them. I did not think this team had it in them.
  8. I don't understand the hatred for Marty. He is part of the Bills's family, played for Lou Saban, and has been a winner everywhere he has been. Granted, he has not won a playoff game since the 80's, but after ten years of this garbage on the football field, it would be refreshing to at least be in the playoffs. If Marty cannot win in the playoffs, then the Bills would need to look for a coach to take the team to the next level, like Bill Polian did with the Colts (Dungy for Mora). As much as I would love to see a big name come to Buffalo, the only time this has happened was Chuck Knox in 1978. Marty would fix Ralph's love for coaches that work for the lowest coaching wages in the NFL.
  9. Better late than never. Ralph now needs a top tier head coach (yes Ralph, you need to spend top tier $ for a coach) and that individual needs to be able to control drafting and personel decisions.
  10. The MNF loss to Dallas in 07. They actually had me believing that they would pull off the upset. I still get teased by my co-workers for that game. My fault. I was watching the game at my desk at work, and got so excited that I stood up and shouted "We're gonna win!". I rushed home from work to catch the ending of the game. When Dallas kicked the winning field goal, I threw my remote across the room. This was the last time I allowed DJ to anger me. 25-24. DJ needs to be fired (preaching to the choir).
  11. Part of being a Bills fan is to take the good with the bad. Watching replays of Scott Norwood missing the Super Bowl kick hurts, but it also brings back memories of the very good team that we had that year. Watching parts of that Titans game replay that was on the NFL Network on Saturday made me remember what a great defense we had in 99. Then I looked at my kids, forgot about the Bills, and spent some quality time with them.
  12. I agree completly. The Bills bar by my house in Henderson NV is called Johnny Macs. Jim Kelly poster on the wall, wings, pizza, Labatts beer, and Bills games on Sunday. I have removed my Bills plate from my car because I cannot stand the ribbing that I am forced to endur from everyone that sees my car. It is embarassing to be a Bills fan out west because of Ralph Wilson's terrible managemet. He can't run Wilson Enterprises like he runs the Bills; he would not be a millionare. I cannot spend another cent on the Bills or Sabres until the teams owners demonstrate a desire to win and win now. I have spent thousdands of dollars over the last 30 years, and am tired of the losing!
  13. "Can we just (IMG:style_emoticons/default/censored.gif) in fire him already and put us all out of our misery? " Agree. This offense is just painful to watch. Kind of like the time I had a root canal without novocain.
  14. Funny. I like the part about how the Bills sneak half of their roster into the line up and still finish 7-9!
  15. It is time for some of the veterns on the team to step up and lead this team. As Jim Kelly stated, you have a major problem when you cannot tell if your team has won or lost when you visit the locker room on Monday. Even with the Bills teams of 84 and 85 you had players that were ashamed over the team's performance. Fred Smerlas and Jim Haslet come to mind. They had a great show on WBEN, and pulled no punches. I am sick of hearing how great the team practiced all week after another pathetic loss week in and week out.
