  1. I agree...... but you only really get any benefit of that if there is a genuine chance that they move on from RGIII if the performances don't get any better. The old phrase that if you have 2 starting quarterbacks you have no starting quarterbacks apples to the Redskins at the moment..... they have a really confused situation back there. If you are sticking with RGIII long term no matter what then at some point you gotta decide between Cousins and McCoy as the back up.

As a season ticket holder of the Redskins with a chance to view him every game when is is playing, I think RG3 will be fine. The Skins need an offensive line especially in the middle (like the Bills). Once the line solidifies he will be very good. If the Redskins give up on him their will be a long line waiting to get him. My issue with RG3 is that he seems to be injury prone.
  2. A big game against a terrible secondary. One of the worst in the league in fact. QB's have a 65% completion and 7.6 YPA. Add to that he's usually matched up against the #2 CB.

To be fair to Evans though he has had 3 really great games in a row. It'll be interesting to see if he can carry it forward. The Bucs have Chicago coming up this week, so he could have another big game.

Josh McCown had a great year last year now he beginning to turn it up for Tampa, especially against teams with bad secondaries. He is beginning to utilize Evans. Once we get stable at QB, Watkins and Woods will be very dynamic.
  3. I'm confused with the Flutie analogy. Flutie was a winner. I know he would have scrambled for first downs and touchdowns that Orton can not. Even EJ could.

Orton reminds me of an inaccurate Drew Bledsoe. Against he Dolphins he looked as though he was playing scared toward the end.

We are QB away from being a very good team.

  4. how dare us make any sense in this argument.

Hackett called a good game. Execution, especially on Ortons part was the issue on Sunday.

Bad play calling. Not running the ball when your within the 15, you lose the ability to play action. No reason we could not try to pound it in from the 2 for three downs. Bad play calling and bad execution.
  5. When I see Kyle Orton I think of Brad Johnson. A journeyman QB that bounced around Minnesota, Washington, before landing with a good Tampa team. They are both similar and needed to be at the right place at the right time. Maybe this Orton's time. Time will tell. However beware, it was just 3 weeks ago when people so impressed with Kirk Cousins after putting up 50 against Jacksonville.

Now Skins fan can't wait for RG3 to return.

  6. Yikes, not this again!

I'm not sure who first designed this logo but I'm guessing it really was Wright. It seems Howard's only been using their charging buffalo logo since 2002. We've been using a charging buffalo since '74.

Here's a photo of Howard's prior logo (this pic is from 1996):

#32 is Howard running back, Aray Williams.

Wright's daughter said this: “As an artist, he considered this his greatest accomplishment. He told me that the legacy he left behind was the Bills logo, that he left a footprint for the world."

It's hard to believe Wright would have been so proud of it had he simply copied it from some kid at Howard.

I graduate Sweet Home High in 75 and and went to Howard University in DC. Howard had the charging Buffalo in 1975 when I got there. I remember thinking that no matter where I go I couldnt' get away from the Buffalo. The color of the helmet was just blue and white, the red has been added. Years ago they wore the letters HU on the helmet and I thought they had the grazing Buffalo on the helmet for a few years as well. I just don't remember what years they transitioned to different helmets. I believed Howard followed the Bills lead regarding the helmet design. The picture above is actually Hampton University (not the real HU) their logo is the Pirates. Sweet Home and Howard, proud to be alumnus of both...Go Bills!!!

  7. I'm sure this play calling was killing them at Syracuse.

I knew he would eventually roll EJ out of the pocket and get the ball to the RB's especially since they were being stunted up the middle.

    It never happened.

The offense reminds of the Trent Edwards and Rob Johnson offenses that will never score above 17 points a game

unless there is a special teams or defensive score.

EJ and Hackett should be replaced.

  8. EJ is beginning to look an awful lot like Jason Campbell. EJ played like a scared QB all day. I have been EJ's corner the whole time but I now have to admit he is not going to be the answer. He is slow to process whether he is looking for an open receiver or needing to get out of the pocket. It takes him longer to see it. The coaches need to run him on bootlegs and traditional screens. The Texans were stunting up the middle all day. Bootlegs would have given him more time. I would expect a new QB to come in and compete for a starting spot next year whether via the draft or FA.

  9. It's nice to see that I'm not the only one that thinks Goodell has become a dictator. He creates the rules as he goes and lies through the rest of it.

Right now the criminal justice system takes a back seat to Goodell the justice system were you are guilty until proven innocent.

    He needs to go.

I believe he has influenced teams to act before due process and Minnesota is a perfect example of it. I'm not saying that Peterson is right but why not wait until a conviction.

  10. After looking at yesterday game Marrone is clearly losing the fans. The offense probably works much better against big east competition. Hackett/Marrone aren't getting it done. This offense is not prepared. I find myself remembering the good ole days of Trent Edwards.

While Lovie seemed to have his team prepared and knows what it takes to compete in this league, Marrone is still trying to figure this out as a head coach. I am very impressed with the defense but they won't stand a chance if on the field all the time. With no first rounder next year the present coaching regime will need to change if we want to win. We still have weapons and may just be a solid veteran QB away from winning. Time for a change!

  11. Would Lovie have been a better choice over Marrone?

Hell Yes!!!! He knows how to prepare a team. Marrone doesn't. Schwartz is doing a very good job. Hackett has to go.

The offense is totally unprepared. 3-13 for this year, the real question is "Who will be coaching the team next year."

  13. Love the 90's uniforms where you have an even distribution of red, white and blue.

Not only do I prefer the red helmet but I also like the red shin sox as well.

I always thought the red hemets were the most attractive in the league.

The uniforms now look like knock off Colts uniforms.

Nothing to offset the blue. Our white uni's are down right boring.

  14. Wilmer Alexander

    What about the Dukes!

My opinion of Bon Jovi is of course a little biased due to the toronto angle, but even without that don't think I'd want him part of bills ownership group. Think he's kind of a twerp and a has-been, overall just kinda lame.

So I was thinking which rock star would I want part of Bills? And I came up with:

    TED NUGENT

Which is odd because I don't like his politics, but I admit he's entertaining. I think his crazy attitude would add some energy to the franchise. He'd get in the faces of owner-bullies like kraft and Jones, be a nice change since we're always dumped on by them. And he's a hyper American patriot who'd never see the team moving to Canada

If you want to know the rest of the story, look up Donald Sterling.

Surprised we haven't seen any Rick James or Goo Goo Doll love on the board.
