Rd 6 pick 185 (6): CB Christian Benford, Villanova
BADOLBILZ replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know you are a big Mel Kiper fan.........he loved the pick........wouldn't stop going on about it........they almost had to give Mel the hook. -
Yeah Buffalo should be very appealing to: WR (boundary type)........maybe Charleston Rambo who they met with TE ........like maybe Wydermeyer if he is still there QB ........like Cole Kelley if AFC East teams don't get him to mimic Josh Allen on their practice squad OG.........need bodies there The amazing depth of the Bills roster is greatly overstated.......especially on the offensive side of the ball.......this UDFA class is going to be the largest ever so they should be able to get some competition and maybe even a guy or two who will actually MAKE the 53.

Rd 2, Pick 63 (31): RB James Cook, Georgia
BADOLBILZ replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Singletary would be a lot more popular with Bills fans if he just posted a fake video of him running a 4.4 40 yard dash.........nobody will know that it was only 37 yards........perception is reality apparently because the fact that he has averaged an excellent 4.7 ypr in his career clearly doesn't register. -
Rd 2, Pick 63 (31): RB James Cook, Georgia
BADOLBILZ replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah Cook tracks the ball on long throws very well for a RB. People who look at short screen passes to RB's and think that makes a back like an extra receiver on the field really don't get it. Really good receivers track and catch long throws just as easily as the short ones. The more they have to slow their feet or leave them altogether just to catch the ball........like, for example, clumsy former Bills WR Andre Holmes.......the less special they are. CJ Spiller is a good example of a guy who could catch a screen pass but 20 yards downfield he was terrible.........just as likely to take that pass off of his facemark as he was to bobble it in for a catch. -
Rd 5, Pick 148 (5): WR Khalil Shakir, Boise St

It's actually Nanners. Cuz his arms are two nanners long. -
Rd 5, Pick 148 (5): WR Khalil Shakir, Boise St

Yeah it was made clear on Thursday night by our esteemed TSW Opinion Control Managers that any pick in the 4th round or later was pretty much worthless? -
Rd 5, Pick 148 (5): WR Khalil Shakir, Boise St
BADOLBILZ replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well.........they needed a kick returner they could afford to put on the 47 man every week in 2022 and will need a starting slot receiver in 2023. Addressed a need. -
I am pretty sure dog is typing in his sleep at this point.......you have to let him ease himself back to bed without forceful attempts.

That is the best line of the draft so far.

Rd 3, Pick 89 (25): LB Terrell Bernard, Baylor
BADOLBILZ replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
There are multiple ways to judge a drafnik's takes...........team/pick accuracy, draft board v where picked, player performance...........and even then there is always the aspect of whether the player ended up in a good place to develop(which we are going to have to hope is the saving grace of this seemingly poor value draft by the Bills so far). I've seen analysis done where Kiper ranks surprisingly well but the burden of such proof falls on the person who first declares the opposite. That's something I could spend an hour on and get a "pffft" as a response. Serves the board better to point out his adamant defense of the Josh Allen pick against all comers. -
NFL Draft 2022 Second & Third Round Discussion Thread
BADOLBILZ replied to UKBillFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
OK it was someone else who was posting a lot of draft info. He tested really well but couldn't stay healthy so I've occasionally book ended him with a first round WR in my daily mock draft. This Bills draft feels so needy and cheap. Beane looked like he needed a shower last night. -
Rd 3, Pick 89 (25): LB Terrell Bernard, Baylor
BADOLBILZ replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Saffold is 5 years older than Daryl Williams, he can't play tackle like Williams and he was pretty banged up last year. Whether he is any kind of improvement or just a downgrade from what Daryl Williams provided is very debatable and the deal he got seemed mighty generous for a guy who TN was quick to move on from. -

Nah, Kiper is actually quite good. And man you like to shout down Bills fans. People remember Kiper's bad takes because his opinion matters to them...........but for the industry he is quite good and well connected. He was one of the few who were all-in on Josh Allen as a prospect............but you probably hated that opinion too. And what the unaffiliated Mayock has to do with him when there are hundreds of draft "experts" now I don't know. -
It's always pretty boring after the first 10 picks or so. The ESPN/ABC coverage was truly terrible. NFL Network had all the good shots and venues. I love Vegas so it was fun seeing it how NFLN presented it..........but the ESPN/ABC all the shots were behind the casino by the wheel........might as well been behind a factory in Cleveland.....I couldn't even tell where the hell they were at first and I know that strip pretty well. Would have been fun to be there for sure. Bills kinda' let the draft play them too..........not some of Beane's better work, IMO. But of course.........we shall see how the players pan out.

Kyle Brandt will announce Bills 3rd round pick
BADOLBILZ replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
He did a great job. I know he isn't a die hard Bills fan.........who in the media is a fan of only one team? Chris Berman grew up a Jets fan.......he just became friends with some of the people on the Bills.......who were desperate for the national exposure.......... and then he jumped on the bandwagon because Bills fans are passionate and it was good for his brand. Brandt does a good job "portraying" a member of Bills mafia as it is seen from the outside..........and the whole Bills mafia shtick is VERY beneficial to the organization and fan base. If the fans hadn't built this crazy, defiant, die-hard, passionate reputation the franchise might not have even been worth saving for new ownership and the NFL. -
Wrong. They lost because they were on the road. 0-4 in the playoffs on the road and 3-0 at home under McDermott. They were on the road because they lost 3 games in a 5 game stretch in the regular season where they scored 15, 10 and 9 points because the OL couldn't block and they didn't have any YAC talent to help Josh Allen get the ball out quick and still make plays. So they had to go into panic mode and use Josh Allen like a RB to slow the opposing pass rush down. After Allen got hurt in Tampa they tried to not let Allen run against Carolina and he got sacked 4 times and the offense labored. Yeah, if you are willing and able to use your franchise QB as a battering ram the offense is fine, though. The divisional game was just the only time ever that two teams coming off 40 point games met in the playoffs. A perfect storm. And had they not pulled their horns in offensively earlier in the second half they win that game in regulation. McD kept thinking his defense was going to make plays. Neither defense could.

Rd 3, Pick 89 (25): LB Terrell Bernard, Baylor
BADOLBILZ replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah the roster is a bit lopsided in terms of pedigree. 6 first and second rounders on offense........Allen, Diggs(trade), Dawkins, Morse, Saffold and now Cook. 10 first and second rounders on defense........Miller, Oliver, Rousseau, Phillips, Basham, Epenesa, Shaq, Edmunds, White and now Elam. And of course........the spending on defense has been massive. 6 of the back 7 is either on a big second contract or on a fat one year deal(Edmunds). If they underachieve again next season and end up back on the road in January it's most likely going to be for the same reason as last year........a lack of quality and depth on the OL and not enough juice in the WR corps. Not over yet though........still some good veterans out there. Better talent at veteran WR than is left at CB. -

That might be the worst take in the history of TSW. Next to Josh Allen he might be the most popular figure in Bills history at this moment. -
New York Yankees 2022....Aaron Judge sets AL record with HR #62
BADOLBILZ replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in Off the Wall
7 straight wins.......up to 14-6 Cortes 1 ER in 5 innings.......he has the lowest ERA in the AL since the beginning of 2021. Rizzo HR #9 and Stanton/Judge/Tortoise also homered. -

Didn't you have a 4th on Isaiah Weston? They brought Charleston Rambo in........which I took as a harbinger for not giving a sh*t about their fastball. -

Tre White was a consensus 2nd rounder. He was CB1 in that class IMO...........but no, he was not considered a likely first rounder........let alone a consensus one. -
Rd 2, Pick 63 (31): RB James Cook, Georgia
BADOLBILZ replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is a bit of a "needy" fill to this draft so far. Like maybe if Levi Wallace had been wearing different underwear and JD McKissic hadn't reneged they might have drafted 2 players at entirely different positions. If $7M worth of free agents changed your round 1 and 2 draft process......that's not a great sign. I like both players though. Cooks is the best RB in the pass game in this draft IMO. -

Yeah not following medical advice is a big no-no in the NFL. You are better off being uncoachable than unavailable. -

There was some foul language. Sounded like he said something like "shut the f*ck up, this is my TEAM" and he got the family organized so they could fake celebrate. -
