  1. Stack the box, shut down Fournette, let Bortles screw up. I think we win the turnover battle - two picks and a fumble recovery. Tyrod needs to be at his off the wall best. This game is probably as important to him and his career as it is for the Bills. If he does well Bills can ask for a third with a straight face.
  2. Good stuff. Thanks for posting. Kyle's eyes almost popped out of his head.
  3. Jimmy G is the real deal. The 49rs can franchise him. That's why they won't have to.
  4. It's not actually about enforcement. So much for the law (assuming that it is constitutional). Like everything else in this administration its about the base, without which this presidency cannot survive. Sessions is not going to harass recreational users, as has been mentioned. He just wants to warm the hearts of evangelicals and other assorted constituents of the right. Weed stocks will bounce back as soon as tomorrow.
  5. Turnovers will destroy Jax come Sunday. Bills win.
  6. It is often said that very serviceable running backs are relatively easy to find. And that's true. Bills found Cadet, now Murphy and Green. They can get the job done behind Shady. Question is whether the Bills should now upgrade through the draft to land their next feature back. Don't know whether RB is any kind of priority with the braintrust but if it is this is a great year to be picking one. Penny, Sony, Love in the second or third?
  7. How do idiots like this happen?
  8. Yknow, Darnold has the attributes you mention but there is no way he is ready to start IMO. To that extent and depending on how you use the expression Darnold could be referred to as a developmental pick, albeit with a high ceiling. Mike White has a big arm and can make all the throws (at least according to what I've read). Kizer already has him rated 5th best in this class. He's been invited to the Combine and many expect him to be a draft riser, maybe not like Wentz was, but 6th/UDFA - no way. Or, we should be so lucky. If he lights it up at the Combine/Senior Bowl he could sneak into the back end of the first. Sorta where we pick. Otherwise a day 2 pick in all probability.
  9. Mike White. Bills like him. Even if he's a draft riser he should be available late first or maybe even in the second. Rosen and Darnold are gone. I'm not packaging a bunch of first round picks and maybe some second(s) for Allen, Rudolph, Mayfield. Too many flaws to justify it IMO. Too many holes to fill. I'd rather see Roquan Smith, Marcell Ateman, Vita Vea type guys than say Rudolph, whose ceiling (assuming he can transition) is Andy Dalton, and whose floor is Bryce Petty. JMO.
  10. Since we are not likely getting one of the top QBs regardless, keep the picks, use the draft and FA to fill the needs. Get a vet who can start and mentor. Stay put and draft a developmental guy with good size, a big accurate arm and good intangibles (like the kid from W. Kentucky). And next year we challenge for the division. JMO.
  11. I think the Bills could well trade for a veteran QB who would start. It's a viable scenario at least. I think it's possible that the Bills are in an aggressive win now mode, especially if they feel that they can find a number of starters in the draft and FA at specific areas of need. I cannot for the life of me comprehend or credit the proposed timing of an announcement i.e. this afternoon? Really?
  12. Idk what the Bills will do but I'd be a little surprised if they opted for Mayfield, assuming they would have a shot to get him, which frankly I expect they will without moving up. Beane and McCoach are from Carolina. Look at the Carolina QBs. They are all enormous (not just Cam). They are pretty much traditional pocket passers and even if Cam is occasionally used as a weapon in the run game they spent a lot of time coaching him up to execute from the pocket, so that's pretty much their philosophy. I just have a hard time seeing them picking a 5'10" surf, no matter how "electric" his play is. Sorry Barb.
  13. Right. They had been in man coverage throughout. For some reason they switched to zone on that play. Kudos to Peas I guess. No wonder they wanted to lynch him.
  14. Yeah I'm checking out Wilkins. I was not impressed with Vita. Was expecting to see more quickness off the snap, he was single teamed much of the night and they ran right at him on a crucial 3rd down conversion.
  15. Not sure I understand this comment. If all he's saying is that Mayfield is not under centre in a pro style offence fair enuf. In Oks O he is already 5-7 steps "back" there and I thought I saw him stand and shoot with no play action in the first half, including some of his best throws.
  16. A touch under 6'1" is no problem for me. But he looks a lot shorter next to some of his mates.
  17. Squash/racketball.
  18. I see the arm talent, zip, accuracy, good release. He sees the field (moved the safety over beautifully on one long completion). He's mobile and athletic. Quick and decisive actions/reactions. Lots to like - however on most passing downs he gets sit back in perfect undisturbed tranquility as he surveys the field or allows for the playcalls to develop. His O-line is dominant. So I don't know how he can perform when under sustained pressure and in a small NFL pocket the big bodies will be much closer, not five to seven yards away. Maybe then not being tall becomes an issue. Just a thought. Haven't seen much of him so those who have will likely have a better view. Wonder how tall he is. Find out at the Combine.
  19. Flacco a "big dumb statue" lol
  20. Not a fan of Rudolph. Ceiling is Andy Dalton. Floor is Bryce Petty. He's overrated IMO.
  21. Not sure I'd agree. Whoever calls UCF plays on O knows how.
  22. True. You might have to do something to make Alex happy a la Shady. Don't know that the Bills would want to do that. The only Minni QB I'd be interested in is Teddy, assuming he's good to go, which it seems is the case. Want to see how Mayfield does today. If he's 6' I'm good. If he's 5'9" forget it.
  23. I for one will not be surprised if Peterman develops into a good QB, possibly even a starter. But there is no way he should be starting against Jacksonville. There is half a chance that he will be starting next September however.
  24. The Patriots are the prime example of what happens when a great team and organization are also luckier (or maybe more corrupt lol) than other teams. The result is a dynasty (though I suspect the end is not far off).
  25. No matter how good you are you need luck, or at least you need to not have bad luck. Bad luck will do in a good team. The football gods planned it that way when they designed the game ball. You never know for sure how it will bounce.
