the NCAA is very very big on the gambling issue. The Don't Bet On It campaign has been around a very long time. Every locker room in the NCAA is littered with signs and billboards about it. There are several meetings that teams have to go through, including stuff like this. Even baseball, track, and diving teams have preventative and warning seminars for betting. They have them for domestic abuse, substance abuse, sexual assault, dealing with law enforcement, and more.

The NFL does not do as well to protect its athletes as the NCAA.

Looks like it’s working as well as “Just Say No,” did .. which turned out to be totally worthless.

  2. I rarely wear a Bills hat outside of the season.

Same with baseball … usually only don a Mets hat during the season.

I’ve only been to a few football stadiums. I’ve never seen any poor behavior from Bills fans, but I’m sure it happens.

What sticks out to me is Bills fans’ behavior in the lot at Jacksonville (playoff game). I was not there, but I know they trashed one lot and even started a fire.

I remember people here cheering that behavior on.

I thought it was pretty scummy.

It is a strong roster but it has some holes and is old in some key spots. They have Herbert and they have their left tackle. At every other premium position they have a hole or a guy who will need replacing in the next two offseasons.

I was just listening to the radio and they were discussing LAC’s cap situation.

    It ain’t pretty.

Insane decision for him. His ego overran his common sense. He could have taken a ***** on the Dean's car at Michigan and they would have built him a statue all while cutting him a $125M check. Instead, he take a super high turnover job where his imagine as infallible will be questioned week to week by national reporters.

That said, it's an incredibly strong roster, so maybe he skates to a Super Bowl and retires as the greatest football coach ever.

I think your second paragraph perfectly explains why your opening sentence is wrong.

Unless it worked. then it would have been awesome to have an aggressive head coach who does what it takes to win. The outcome determines what we will say a lot of times.

No. It still would have been stupid, but lucky they got away with it.

Turns out, it was just stupid. Very stupid.
