So far we have played almost a half. Maybe I've missed something, but I don't think I've seen one Jets offensive play stopped for no gain or negative yardage. No sacks either. So much for our improved defense. They haven't stopped one single play in an entire half of football.

This really shouldn't be a surprise. Chan Gailey can not beat any team in this division. This team looks completely unprepared. It is going to be another long season.

Not only does McKelvin get owned twice on this drive, he can't catch the kickoff. Is this really the best we have? If so, could be another long season. And a false start on the first play from scrimmage, followed by an INT. Looks like the same old Bills to me. I was hoping for much better than this.

That certainly is a difference from the past few years. It seemed like almost all of his opportunities to pin the opposition deep in their own territory have gone into the end zone and come back out to the twenty.

He's saying that until after the final pre-season game. Thigpen will be cut, make no mistake about that. Chan doesn't want to show his hand in case someone gets hurt in that last game and he has to keep Thigpen. Unless that happens, he is history.

I didn't see the game, so I'll wait for the replay on Monday, but damn, have some pride guys. I know it's preseason and the games don't count, but I have watched a bunch of the preseason games on NFL network and not many teams seem to have as ugly of a result as Buffalo does. I don't know the cause of Fitzpatrick's ineffectiveness, but again, other starting QB's seem to look OK this preseason. What's his excuse? And once the starters are off the field, the team seems to get run over by the other team's backups. Again, not sure what Chan and Company are trying to accomplish in these games, but the results have been ugly three straight times.

I agree. It troubles me that in two years the Bills have had losing streaks of 8 and 7 games and Gailey could find nothing either time to stop the slide. Coaches need to make adjustments when things aren't working and so far, I haven't seen that from Gailey. Hoping for a better year this year, but I am cautiously optimistic.

I haven't seen the game yet, but it doesn't look like they are putting too much effort into whether or not they win in these first two games. I know that it is preseason and you can't read too much into it, but it sure looks bad to play this badly for two straight weeks.

I live in Newfoundland, so lots of games on Canadian TV since the Toronto series started. When it is not on Canadian TV, I watch the Sunday Ticket games. I have Fibre Op TV and they don't offer the Sunday ticket, so I kept my Satellite TV as well and cut back to basic channel package with NFL Sunday Ticket and MLB extra innings package added. Works out okay because I have a Satellite antenna on my RV, so I take the reciever with me when we go camping.

Last year, the backup QB could have played a very important role for this team if they had one that they had any confidence in. The Bills lost seven straight games with an injured Ryan Fitzpatrick because they didn't have enough confidence in Thigpen to let him start. They need VY to step up and grasp this offense, just in case they need him.

Well considering that the Jets were laughing at us last year before the game and then completely destroyed us, I'd say it's time for the Bills to either put up and beat the Jets or just take the smack talking.

Cordy Glenn will be better than Bell and with the depth they have added in the draft and the experience these guys got last year, they should be improved over last year. I see no reason to believe that the loss of Bell will mean that this unit will not be better this year than last.

I think Stevie is smart enough to know not to do that in the end zone anymore. I would be very surprised to see him flagged for it again this year. He loves playing football and is generally a good guy. So let him have his fun as long as there are no more flags.

No harm in idle speculation. None of it means anything really. It's just people recognizing that the Bills made some positive changes and should be better this year. Proof will be in the pudding, but it doesn't hurt anything to have people believe that the Bills will be better this year.
