  1. I could care less where Fitzpatrick was drafted. My opinion of him is based solely on what I have seen him do in games. I think that he is very gritty and full of heart. Statistics don't mean squat to me. It is obvious that he cannot consistently throw the ball accurately and he tends to make bad mistakes at critical times. That is what I am looking at. I like him as a leader of men, I just don't think he has the physical skills to execute what he wants to do. That, in the end, is what is his undoing. He will never be good enough to lead a team to the playoffs, which is what I am looking for.
  2. So because I disagree with you that makes me "dumb"? I have watched Rian Lindell his entire career. I agreed that he has been mostly solid. I also have seen him miss his share of kicks that would have either put games away when the Bills had the lead or put them ahead. I stand by my original statement. If you disagree that's fine, I won't stoop to your level and call you dumb. And I don't think holding a kicker accountable for missing easy kicks is going to run anybody out of town.
  3. Counting last year, Fitz has now played in 17 games for the Bills. He is certainly better than Trent Edwards, but I agree with the poster. He has a very hard time throwing the ball accurately. He has missed some very imnportant throws and thrown some bad INT's. That is why Cincinnati let him walk and that is why the Bills should do the same. I enjoy watching him because he is able to put some points up on occasion, but he is not the answer in the long term. He is definitely an improvement over the last two QB's, but he is just not going to lead the team to the playoffs. He has the heart, just not the physical skills to do it.
  4. I have to agree with the poster. Lindell has been very solid for the most part. Statistically he is one of the best kickers in Bills history. However, I too have noticed a tendency to miss relatively easy kicks in pressure situations. For the most part during Lindell's tenure, the Bills have been terrible and there has been very little pressure to win games. When the kicks really mean something, he has a tendency to miss fairly easy kicks. Not knocking his in general, just noticing what appears to be a tendency. I think the poster is right on the money. Nailed it right down the middle.
  5. Archie Manning was way more athletic than Ryan Fitzpatrick. He also had a much stronger arm. Fitz is very smart, but his abilities are limited. Archie was athletically gifted. No comparison in my opinion.
  6. The Bears are 5-3 because they can make a play now and then when they need to. They know how to win football games in the NFL which is something this Bills team just cannot seem to grasp. The past few weeks has been encouraging for some. For me, it has been just three more examples of a team that finds new ways to lose games every single week. They simply do not know how to win. The difference between these two teams was evident. Chicago expected to win and Buffalo was hoping nothing would go wrong. Well guess what? It did. AGAIN!
  7. This is another stupid doomsday thread. Until there is something in the works to move the team, just relax. Oh woe is us is very tedious. It does no good to speculate on something that noone knows anything about. Let's just wait and see what happens. If they decide to move, then there is nothing anyone can do about it anyway, so what good does it do to worry about it? And if they don't move, you have wasted all of this time worrying about something that didn't happen.
  8. Tila Tequila is a nut job. Were you there? Why would anyone be outraged at a story that noone knows the details of? Makes no sense. Let's not creat controversy where none exists. If he had a history of this, then I could see questioning his character, but there is nothing to suggest that he is violent against women.
  9. So what? How many teams have won four straight conference championships? There have been other teams that didn't win any games. The Bills wouldn't be the first. What matters is what happens after this year, not what happens this year. This year winning games will not benefit them in the long run now that they are already 0-7. I root for them to win each and every week, but picking up Moss and Merriman will not help this team in the long run.
  10. Gotta disagree with you here. They were at the 37 and if they could've just gotten inside the 30, Lindell would have nailed the game winner. If I'm the coach, you have to run the ball here. You have three downs to get six or seven yards and win the game. Throwing the deep ball on first down did them in. Once that was incomplete, you still had two more tries to get a few yards and they threw again on second down. The third down play, I don't think Fitzpatrick had any intention of throwing the ball. He was trying to run for the first down and he only got three. Bad play calling and it cost them. I like Chan Gailey for the most part, but this made no sense to me.
  11. This team played horribly for most of the day. The defense still can't stop the run at all. The offense was sporadic and Fitzpatrick was inconsistent with his throws all day. Trying hard is not good enough. You have to play well in order to win games in the NFL. This team has not shown that it can play well for an entire football game all year and that is why they are 0-7. I was flabergasted at the opportunities this team had to win that game and they couldn't take advantage of any of them. Pathetic. I love the Bills as much as anyone and I was devastated when they lost this game, but this team is horrible.
  12. The Bills are 0-7. They are NOT a Good Football Team!! Good football teams make plays when it counts and win games. This team has done neither. At no time last week or this week did I feel like this team was going to win the game. I knew that they would find a way to lose because that's what Bad Football Teams do!! Last week was encouraging. This week was pathetic.
  13. Absolutely we are cursed. Four straight Super Bowl losses and now 11 years of no playoffs. During this time the Bills have lost games in every way imaginable. Today I think they did them all in one game. This was a ridiculous loss. So many chances to win and they just cannot do it. I am now convinced this team will go 0-16 and there is no light at the end of the tunnel even with the number one pick. This team will continue to find new ways to lose football games no matter who is coaching and no matter who is playing. I am convinced that they are cursed.
  14. Bwahaha! Bwahaha! Bwahaha! Thanks for the comic relief this morning. I love reading posts from blithering idiots. It makes me laugh outloud.
  15. There is no way you would have gotten a third rounder for any of those guys, Evans included. So you want to just give them away and hope that whoever we draft in the fourth or fifth or sixth round performs better? Granted, this team is bad, really bad. But you don't just give away your best players just so you can say you did something. And as for being an optimist, I was one that hoped for the best. That is what fans do. They root for their team to succeed. That is the way I live my life. I always wake up and decide that I will have a good day. Noone has the power to take that away from me except me. I too am frustrated by the Bills because I want them to succeed. If it makes you feel better to spout doom and gloom, then go for it brother. It just doesn't work for me.
  16. Seattle did not use Lynch any differently than Buffalo did. I watched the game. Seattle won because they are a better team than Buffalo. Buffalo's biggest problem is it's defense. They could have used Lynch any way they wanted and as long as the defense plays the way it has they would still lose. The problem with this team is it's defense. Plain and simple. They have scored enough points to win in each of the past three weeks. They simply can't stop anyone. It has nothing to do with Marshawn Lynch and the way he was used or wasn't used.
  17. There really is no answer to this question. You have already made up your mind and will argue with whatever anyone suggests might have been a good move, so what's the point? We get it. You don't like Nix or Gailey. Why not just say "I don't like Nix and Gailey."? Personally, I believe it is too early to properly evaluate this regime. Not sure how long they will last, but I think this first year I will give them a pass. Talk to me about the middle of next year and I will have seen enough to say if I agree with the direction they are headed. The biggest problem with this team as I see it is the defense. I'm not sure what could have been done to improve this unit this offseason, but to me, this is the biggest area of need. Scoring 30, 26, and 20 points the past three weeks is enough to win if you have a decent defense. We don't. The defense can't stop anyone and that is why this team is 0-5. I believe that re-building this defense will take more than this year and reading more into it than that is a waste of time and energy.
  18. Just what this board needs. Another whiner. Gee this is a unique post. Haven't heard those opinions before. Thank you for your brilliant insight. Any more wisdom you'd care to share with us?
  19. For the most part, I agree with your post. All the whining and bitching on this board gets very old. I understand that people are frustrated. I am too. But people on here tend to over react to everything the Bills do. It doesn't matter what it is, it will spark loads of negative posts. A couple of days ago, someone suggested that the Bills trade Lynch and Evans for a couple of second round picks. I responded by saying you would probably get only a third for Evans and a fourth for Lynch. Well the front office did better than a fourth and you'd have thunk they committed a murder by much of the response on this board. A fourth was his value right now and they did better than that, but it wasn't good enough for most of the people on this board. I get the frustration, and everyone has a right to express their opinion, but I prefer reading things that express a bit of hope. The whining just bores me and I tend to ignore it. I don't like the way this team has played for a very long time. I don't like some of the decisions that have been made by GM's and coaches. But I tune in every Sunday and hope for the best. I am even numb to the losing. I have come to expect it and when anything else happens, it is a pleasant surprise. I think one thing that we can all agree on is that we want the Bills to win. That is why people get so frustrated by the losing. I totally get it. It's just that the whining gets boring.
  20. And you are a retard. Now, does calling you a name make my opinion worth more? Guess that's how it works on this board. So yes retard, the offense looks better to me than last year. Just my own moronic opinion retard.
  21. When I was a kid, we used to get a lot of Giants and Cleveland Browns games on the networks before we had cable. I also rooted for the Jets when they had Namath. Of those three, I probably would go back to the Browns in the AFC and Giants in the NFC.
  22. First of all, I never said the word "fact" anywhere in my post. I understand that what I write is my own opinion and therefore is just as valid as everyone else's on this board. No more, no less. I don't try to pass it off as fact. And yes, I have been watching the same offense that you have. Did you happen to notice the misdirection on the TD pass to the tight end yesterday. I don't remember ever seeing a play like that under Jauron. I have noticed Gailey's influence in the play calling and I like what I see. Again, my opinion. The offense has had little opportunity to show very much because the defense can't get off the field. Edwards defense is the biggest problem (in my opinion) not the Head Coach. And please don't tell me it's Gailey's fault for picking him. Veteran Defensive coordinators weren't exactly busting the door down to coach the Bills defense.
  23. Ask Bill Cowher what he thinks of Gailey. Ask Jerry Jones. And yes, it is my opinion, based on what I have read and actual quotes from other coaches. It is an opinion based on research, not just shooting off at the mouth. You're right it is my opinion, making it worth just as much as the other poster's opinion.
  24. Jim who? Why would anyone care what this guy thinks. I didn't even know he still has a show. Besides, they are pretty pathetic.
  25. These would be good ideas if you could actually get those 2 second round picks. Unfortunately for those two guys, you would probably get a third and a fourth. Even that misght be worth it just to add some depth to this roster. The real problem with this team though is the defense. They are horrible, particularly against the run. The offense has put up 44 points in the last two weeks and that is enough to win some games if the defense could stop anybody. We need playmakers on defense.
