  1. never ever play Deangelo williams!!!! You look pretty set but it sucks to have your rb against your d. Good Luck! I'm also in the championship of my keeper league and offered a split to the other team but one manager didn't want it. He's a notorious whiner so I hope I destroy him to be able to rub it in his face. Reality is though he was the points leader and his team is sick. I hope Gronk comes back for you bc Hernandez has been killin it for him with Gronk out.
  2. While I get (I think) what you are saying think about this game from a players perspective. It isn't a home game so it is an extra day of travel. Many time the number of "road fans" is equal to or outweighing the home teams. The place is a cavern with very little crowd noise which doesn't help the home team. It is a clear money grab by management which tells the players where the priority lies. All around the game is big f.u. to the players and fans.
  3. Tannehill isn't doing great in my estimation unless 10 tds to 12 ints is great. I am impressed by your ability to identify Luck though as nobody had him being good in the pros. I don't remember your crush on Kaep. As I qualified I'm not sold on Nassib completely but am not ready to write him off either. My comment was more tongue in cheek than anything. As for Nassib again I ask did you get a chance to see the Louisville game? Many NFL type throws in that game. I am comparing all QBs in this draft. I just wonder if Jones is "amazing" why is he being grouped in the second tier in an already admittedly weak class. I didn't bash Jones just mentioned that he has his warts too. I'm sorry I was disrespectful to your son Mrs. Jones.
  4. I'm sorry due to your multiple man crushes on terrible qbs I'm actually okay with the fact that you don't like Nassib On a serious note I'm not sold on him being an elite game changer at the next level. That can be said however for all of the qbs in this draft. Your flavor of the month Jones has many a question mark as well. I just see Nassib as someone who could be developed and he is definitely in the mix for next qb up after Smith. I love your Fitz jr comment bc you say nothing to back it up, just a random insult. So please do tell why is he Fitz jr?
  5. I don't but this link has it and they update it every Tuesday including s.o.s. just click on draft order.
  6. Not sure where you are reading but according to this: Nassib has a powerful arm, reads coverages effectively and has demonstrated poise in high-pressure situations. Nassib's stock is rising, he's now ranked No. 43 overall and the No. 4 quarterback in CBSSports.com's latest player rankings. Nassib is currently projected to be selected in the second round. At the start of the season, Nassib was projected to be taken in round 3-4. or this: Nassib has good-enough arm strength to make throws at all levels of the field with the mechanics and beautiful ball fakes that scouts love to see. Nassib tends to make poor reads under pressure and force throws, but is a smart player and does a nice job using his eyes to hold defenders and work through his progressions. He isn't a statue in the pocket and is very accurate throwing on the run, flashing impressive toughness for the position. Nassib is a gamer with a live arm FWIW his deep ball accuracy is a bit lacking but he was very impressive this year. Check out the highlights of him vs. Louisville and you will see some very impressive quarterbacking.
  7. Mods could we perhaps merge this thread with the Bills could draft #3 thread?
  8. not according to this. Not sure who is right but this site has sos listed and seems accurate.
  9. This is my biggest beef with Gailey. He lacks passion on the sideline. I don't need a blowhard but I need someone who will call the refs when they screw up and get a handle on both sides of the ball. Defensive players on this team aren't accountable to the HC! That is crazy to me!
  10. That is a great deal for both sides. For Urbik he went from PS to 15 mill for the Bills they ensured they don't have 1 less thing to worry about this off season and got a very favorable deal. Urbik isn't my favorite player on the line but this is low end starter money for someone who I think is better than a low end starter.
  11. Yeah I don't like the idea of blowing everything up but I have lost any confidence in Chan to right this ship. I want a HC in the HC position not a glorified OC.
  12. As of right now the Bills hold the #8 pick. According to Drafttek Manti T'eo is the #8 prospect and Geno Smith is #7. Since these are the names most often mentioned I figured it would be interesting to see where people stand on who they would like the Bills to pick with their first rounder. If Smith is available I would pick him over T'eo. I have concerns about Smith's mental toughness as I have seen him hang his head several times. However his talent is evident especially on medium throws which kill defenses. T'eo may translate well to the next level but after McClain and Curry have washed out I'm a little concerned about drafting a mlb this high. His 40 time will either make or cost him a lot of money. So what say you?
  13. I have to imagine most have jumped on the lose out train at this point, either to see Chan fired, improve draft stock, or both here are the scenarios for this week. Currently the Bills are drafting 8th with the potential to move all the way up to 3 with some insane breaks. They have been locked out of pick 1 and 2. Week 16 who to root for: Lions over Falcons (would push the Lions behind the Bills) Dolphins over Bills (Bills could fall as far as pick 12 with a win) Raiders over Panthers (this wouldn't move the Bills ahead of the Raiders but give them a chance to in week 17) Eagles over Redskins (unfortunately not a chance for this one) Chargers over Jets (very well could happen) Browns over Broncos (not very likely) So there it is. This is who to root for so the Bills can finally (maybe) find their qb of the future.
  14. Hey you retired from this !!! He's good and I wouldn't mind him on the Bills but I do have concerns. He reminds me a lot of Trent. I don't know why but he does. That said he is very accurate and does well with a no huddle attack which speaks to his iq. His deep accuracy is troublesome to me but it is only by the eye test as I couldn't find stats to prove/disprove me.
  15. holy crap I've never heard of such a thing! I don't think that will stand but Good Luck!
  16. Yeah as big of a story as it is it is also a non-story. This probably happens to many colleges and many players but this being the local team we have eyes and ears on it. FWIW the article you posted is very accurate to the situation. Not to divulge to much but I got the story from someone very close to the situation and it is standard procedure as was mentioned. It appears not to be a case of preferential treatment. Anyway I don't see any reason for Jimmy B to not get 900 tonight. I agree with others though as I am concerned their heads appear to be a bit bigger than they should be. This team is a bit of a slow starter. Due to the poor quality of opponents they haven't had to pay for it yet. Canisius and E. Michigan were poor efforts imo and they still won by 20 in each of them (almost 40 vs. E. Michigan) Really need to see more from the bigs going forward. Coleman appears to be a bit soft and I would like to see more of an edge from him.
  17. Ugh this line of thinking is so obnoxious. Why does he equal those 2? Is it really because they went to the same school? Sanchez started for 1 year not 4 like Barkley. Leinart was surrounded by talent that was considered to be some of the best all time in cfb Barkley had teams that were on probation and lacked elite talent. Yes Barkley has 2 great college wrs but a horrific o-line and an okay run game. Certainly not the White/Bush backfield that Leinart had. The thinking that a player from x cllege sucked so other ones will too is asinine at best. It's the same thinking that leads teams to pass on Brian Orakpo because Mike Williams was soft and therefore all Texas players are. Judge him on his merits not his predecessors . Thank you!
  18. Oh it's definitely true. Except he didn't get arrested. He was offered a chance to buy the things and avoid charges and did so. He was caught with items and led out by a "secret shopper."
  19. I agree with both your research and point. This just isn't a year with great qb prospects. So instead of reaching I would prefer a trade up scenario. Value is still important to me so I'd rather have that happen then a huge reach.
  20. Thanks. As Ryan will attest I have been for winning out that doesn't mean you can't look and see what may happen. All week long I realize that it is better for the bills to lose. You know what happens when I wake up Sunday? I want the bills to win. Everyone wants the bills to win ham. It is just a matter of thinking long term or short term as others have pointed out. Getting a better pick doesn't guarantee anything but it does increase the pool of players you can pick from thereby increasing your chances. This is unarguable.
  21. I agree and think his first round picks have been pretty easy. Spiller, Dareus, and Gilmore were all telegraphed.
  22. This is from the comments section and exactly what I thought he meant when I read it: He’s not talking about moving to the top part of the draft, he’s talking about probably the tail end of the first round… “there’s a time when you can move up a round to take a quarterback,” At that point it’s a fairly low risk move and may be worth it. Guys like Tyler Wilson, Landry Jones, and Matt Barkley are worth the risk there. These are guys that would have been top 10 picks had they come out last year. It looks like a trade back into the late part of round 1 to jump ahead of qb needy teams at the top of round 2. It sounds like (of this is what he actually means) exactly what I would want them to do.
  23. I don't understand this thinking. Why not? Between Rochester, Buffalo, and the Ontario area there is no money? It may change the dynamic of who attends but not that people do attend. So do you disagree with my reasoning? Do you feel that football was the national past time in the early 90s like it is today? It was 20 years ago - so much has changed in that time frame please explain to me why you feel it would be the same today.
  24. I know I was among the many "leading the charge" that I wanted the team to win out. Well after last night's win by Cincy I thought it would be interesting to see how high the Bills could pick in the draft if everything worked out right. Currently the Bills are drafting 11th so if you are among the many that are looking for a lose out get the best pick possible these are your scenarios. Week 15: Philly has already lost unfortunately Jags over Miami Tenn over NY Jets Cle over Washington (I don't think this happens) Seattle over Buffalo unbelievably all other teams above us in the draft are playing each other kc vs oak (better if KC wins) car vs sd (better for Bills if Chargers win) det vs arizona (I don't think there is any way the cards win so we will call it a lions W) if all of this happen the Bills will move up to the 7th pick week 16: Miami over Buffalo KC over Indy (don't think this happens) Jags over Pats (no way this happens - but this is just an exercise) Oak over Carolina (don't think this happens either) Philly over Washington (don't think this happens either) Arizona over Chicago (don't think this happens either) Amazingly none of this would improve the Bills position they would still be drafting 7th week 17: Kc over Denver Jax over Tenn Oak over SD Philly over NYG Car over Saints zona over 49ers If all of this happens the Bills could do no worse than the 5th pick and as well as the #1 pick depending on tie breakers. Their is no way this happens though as week 16 is filled with improbable scenarios. "Best case" appears to be #7 with a lose out scenario so... good luck? I'll update after this weeks games
  25. Thanks! Hope he listened BGE was on my opponents team in 2 of the 3 leagues I have left and he put up 16.6 in my ppr league and 16 in my non tenth of a point/non ppr league.
