  1. The owner has made it clear that he is keeping the team as long as he lives and that it will remain in western NY as long as he owns it. Then the team is going to be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Where it is eventually located is not an interest of his. At that point he will be dead.

He's made it abundantly clear. I'm really not sure how much clearer it could be or why people keep talking about it. There is no plan to keep the Bills in Buffalo. Any ownership group for Buffalo would likely be outbid. If they weren't the surmounting debt from the purchase would eliminate the 30 million in profit they make so they'd end up with problems anyway.

Perhaps Golisano or someone else who wouldn't have to finance the team steps in, but don't get your hopes up.

  2. Excellent point, dude. Check the Eagles record to see if they make the right choices. Thanks for suggesting that.

Let's see ... the Eagles made the playoffs this decade in:

    2007

2005 (made the SB but lost)

    2004

    2003

    2002

    2001

and 2000. Seven out of nine years.

And during the same period, the Bills made the playoffs in:

    Hmmmm.

There seems to be some kind of failure in google, because I can't find any playoff appearances during the same period for the Bills. Still, I'm sure you're right. There must be some way to use this data to prove that the Eagles make worse choices than the Bills, and I'm sure you will let me know.

Finally, a brother in arms on my boy, Peters and the quality organization that is the Eagles. They are like the Bills that went to the Superbowl four years in a row and lost, but they went to the NFC championship and lost instead. Everyone knows the NFC is dominant so that game is pretty much the Superbowl anyway. As I understand a minute of commercial time during the NFC championship could pay for Peters to play like five minutes. That is an AWESOME ratio.

    I mean, look at this:

Let's see ... the Eagles made the playoffs this decade in:

    2007

2005 (made the SB but lost)

    2004

    2003

    2002

    2001

and 2000. Seven out of nine years.

Andy Reid went to the SUPERBOWL in 2005 with a 6-10 record. He had one win less than Jauron and went to the SUPERBOWL. Jauron has had a 7-9 record for three straight years and didn't make the SUPERBOWL once. Imagine what will happen with a talent like Peters. The Eagles have a 7-9 season virtually locked up which means they should WIN the SUPERBOWL this year.

You can't argue with facts like these. Thurman has told us the Eagles made the SUPERBOWL in 2005 with a 6-10 record. You don't think Peters gets them one more win and thus the championship? You are all on crack. I think Thurman and I are the only ones who understand football and being part of a team here.

  3. You guys are insane. Jason Peters was already kind enough to let the Bills give him a raise before his contract expired once. Then he gave them another opportunity and didn't say one word about it. Literally, not one peep. Then after he was kind enough to come in after the Bills had played two games, one of which they barely won to reach 2-0 because he missed playing football so much and had nothing to do with a weakening bargaining position.

Then he gave them another chance and even increased his weight without losing the flexibility that comes with increased muscle mass. There are very few players who are playing in the NFL willing to add fat to their build in the offseason considering the problems it causes with health. Especially after they had previously experienced injuries. Peters was more than willing to do so.

Even after committing himself to the organization after he chose to come here as a free agent, they didn't void his contract and give him a raise. that's right a FREE agent. He wasn't forced here like all those people taken in the draft, he chose to do so when he had his pick of organizations offering him less money.

Now you guys do nothing, but bash him. He's on a team that appreciates leadership and knows where to spend its money. The Eagles defense obviously had never won them a Superbowl so brought in Jason to be the team leader they needed after Dawkins failed year after year. You expect the general to be on the front lines? That's silly, he can't be effective there so he stays behind the lines just like Peters stays on the sideline just like Michael Vick.

If you need more proof that the Eagles make the right choices, it's in their record. The bills have been 7-9 the past two years. They have been severely outclassed by the Eagles 8-8 and 9-6-1 records in both of those years. That's three entire wins better than the Bills. You can't argue with those kind of results.

  4. Yes, if it wasn't for Edwards, we'd suddenly have a serviceable OLine, a successful coordinator and receivers who catch everything.

    Damn you Trent!

    :w00t:

Don't forget Maybin would already be a star and no one would get injured. Finally a QB that can do all those things!

You see giant leaps made on message boards...that's kind of what they are there for, but wow...Fitzpatrick as the savior. Bills nation has officially jumped the shark.

  5. Jason Peters is the Fitzpatrick of the Eagles. The missing link, the difference between just missing and winning the big game. That one element that was missing that makes the team better. The guarantee of a deep playoff run. Just think, we could have had Jason Peters at LT AND Fitzpatrick at QB. Missed opportunities...
