  1. The Bills are one of, if not THE best team in the NFL to handle a market collapse of the NFL. They are very financially conservative, have zero debt, and are able to (presumably) be in the black. If they can survive the immediate future (from now till ownership changes, which will happen in the next 10 years or less) and get another sweetheart lease for the stadium, I think that there will be zero chance of the team moving. At the end of the day, the big $$ teams like cowboys, pats, etc. make a lot more money, but pay a lot more back into debt. If something happens with the financial stability of the NFL, you'll see the big boys fail first and the small guys like Buffalo and Green Bay survive and thrive.

Summary: I'm not worried in the least, and I'm actually looking forward to a correction.

You realize when the ownership changes hands, the Bills will have debt? A lot of it. That is why there is a belief that keeping them in WNY is not viable because the profit margin would be incredibly thin with the interest from a loan to buy the team.

However, I disagree with a lot in that article.

  2. IMO, a lot has to do with the negative psychology that seems to permeate all discourse today as a byproduct of the Great Recession / Anemic Recovery.

Stated another way, everyone loves to just B word, B word, B word....about anything and everything.

(I thought Jobs handled today's press conference pretty well, BTW)

Seriously, if they just wrap themselves in tin foil and stand at a 74 degree angle then they can make calls just fine. People just want to complain though.

  3. That's pretty cool, man. He looks like he's in pretty good shape.

I saw London Fletcher down here at Wegmans in Ashburn, VA about a month a go. I'm always a bit tentative about approaching them for things like that. We didn't have our camera with us, but even if we did I'd feel funny. Gotta get over that.

Shopping at a grocery store != autograph signing

  4. If Jim becomes Ralph's son... and heaven forbid Ralph passes... Jim gets the team and will not be loaded down with inheritance taxes.... This year only! Not wishing Ralph any ill... just saying tho....:rolleyes:

I think you misunderstand how it works. No wonder people who make no where near enough to ever come close to being affected by the estate tax want to repeal it.

  5. Yup, the UFL teams sort of "draft" available players "rights" when they aren't playing in the NFL. They are added to their roster weither they have signed a deal or not with the team, they are a part of the team if they sign a contract.

Guess Omaha "won" the "Jemarcus Russell Sweepstakes"

    I bet they feel lucky

  6. I've probably taken a leak on every golf course I've ever played. It's as simple as a little stroll into the woods and do your thing. An observer would have to go out of their way to know whether I was pissing or looking for a ball.

If Ben took his leak right out in the open in front of this women, then of course he should be in trouble. If the woman just saw the silhoutte of a guy pissing in the woods, she needs to get a life.

I highly doubt he is stupid enough to expose himself to this women on purpose.

What makes you so sure or if he even knew she was there? Or for that matter, that it was him and not his friend?

  7. Haven't very few (if any) 1st rounders signed deals yet? It may be slotted, but its also slotted compared to what the guys ahead of him get

It happens any year and was expected to be worse this year due to most people believing there will be an 'official' rookie slotting system next year.

I have no idea why this is big deal to people.

  8. If I lived next to a golf course and had to see that all the time, I'd be pretty dang annoyed. What if she has kids? You want your four year old daughter seeing that all the time?

Where does it say she had any idea it was him beforehand or that she even knows who he is?

Believe it or not, fellas, not every woman wants to see you take a piss while she's in her backyard.

  9. The Levy move was a mistake and he was basically trying to help a friend (Ralph) get things under control. Levy himself often stated that is was temporary and he wasn't a 'real GM'. That there was a clue that thing were going to really fly off the handle.

The reason I'm on board with the current regime is it seems like the stop gap reactionary measures have been put on hold and 'football' decisions will be made again. They also seem less interested in trying to shortcut their way to a winning team.
