  1. No I'll see the loss of our best offensive lineman and RT as a major loss. I remember exactly what the line looked like pre Fitz and post Fitz and learn the lesson that the QB is an enormous factor in pass protection (or at least sacks allowed). I'll remember what this running game has looked like outside of the first two carries of the preseason. Thanks, some of you guys are unbelievable. Let the last few years sink in would ya? Learn a little something so you're not one of Barnum's favorites for a change.
  2. No, I"m sorry, but this is completely wrong. Don't you know, the Bills held all the cards and Byrd's agent screwed up. The fact that we'll lose Byrd for nothing at the end of this year means that the Bills won! Thanks PTR for helping us all to understand what a great job the FO did on this one.
  3. 1 New England Patriots L 45-6 Patriots aren't very good, but this franchise is injured, has a first year coaching staff and is just generally in disarray. 2 Carolina Panthers L 10-28 3 at New York Jets L 3-6 Two absolute garbage teams 4 Baltimore Ravens L 6-31 5 at Cleveland Browns L 3-10 6 Cincinnati Bengals L 3-31 7 at Miami Dolphins L 9-21 8 at New Orleans Saints L 7-49 finally a TD 9 Kansas City Chiefs L 16-35 10 at Pittsburgh Steelers L 10-24 11 New York Jets W 9-6 LOL 12 BYE 13 Atlanta Falcons L 10-41 14 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers L 21-24 15 at Jacksonville Jaguars L 13-27 16 Miami Dolphins W 10-3 17 at New England Patriots L 6-900 First year staff, rookie QB (best case scenario), very young at many spots (WR in particular), terrible depth, incredibly, history-makingly bad DB's, terrible OL. This team is going to be very, very bad this year.
  4. I love FJ but backs hit the wall hard and fast and from what it looks like Freddie might have hit it. 10 might be generous with the shambles of on o-line this team has.
  5. And I'm sure you remember that the Ravens defense was one of the best of all time, that the rules have been changed significantly in favor of the offense even since 2001, that Trent Dilfer was a complete aberration as a below average QB winning a SB, and that you have a better shot at at least reaching a superbowl with an outstanding quarterback (1 player) than with an outstanding defense (11 players).
  6. Yup, It'll be a different team. They've just been holding back for game one. They don't want to give away the real game plan. They're just trying to hide Kamil Loud Da'Rick Rogers. Preseason don't mean JACK SQUAT! They're going to use all that cap space to make the team competitive! They're in it to win this year! It's stupid to overpay homegrown talent-better to cut now, hold empty cap, and draft to fill holes next year. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Yes, they do, but they also make re-signing their quality young veterans a priority rather than creating holes to save cap space. No way Levitre and Byrd would have been handled the way the Bills handled them.
  8. Hell no, but the minimization of this injury and the comparison of it to the Brady injury was just so ludicrous I couldn't help it.
  9. Yea basically league's worst back 7 just lost their best player. Nothing to worry about guys, stop being so negative. I'm always amazed by the preseason here, filled with the same stupid pollyanna posts, same stupid excuses, same whining about negative posts/posters, only to see that the negative people were right, and then come back and post the exact same **** the next year. I'm not sure if the it's the lack of insight or lack of shame that is more stunning. I keep hoping that since they have the good taste to be Bills fans that they have memory loss from heavy drinking after the many losses, but I don't know.
  10. Yup, all we can do is speculate, using history as our guide. I'm sure they have something really exciting up their sleeves.
  11. LOL. Yes, losing the only NFL caliber CB on the roster is no big deal. I'm sure the franchise has been hoarding all that cap space for just such an emergency, and will now put it to use. Just like they always do, right? It's only half the season Gillmore's out, they won't even miss him as long as teams focus on attacking the porous run defense rather than exploiting their derp tier DB's.
  12. The only reason anyone outside of the immediate area of Sanford, Florida knows about this is because the White House was inhabited by a racist demagogue who was afraid he was about to lose an election. Anything to whip up the base, ya know. And now we're about the reap the consequences of a baseless, race mongering media lynching led by our racist, "average american" hating !@#$ in chief.
  13. All that should be said, maybe, other than that he's coming into a team with an offensive line who's glaring weaknesses were masked by an intelligent quarterback with a quick release. Oh, and they also lost the best offensive lineman out of a very mediocre bunch.
  14. Obviously. They have nothing. They had to know they had nothing. So why did they bring this case and what does that mean?
  15. Had a reason to follow (rash of robberies, etc.), didn't just "end up shooting them" (was attacked) and not going to jail. Otherwise, an excellent and well thought out reply.
  16. +1. They were driving it down the field right down their throats and had the game in the palm of their hands. That call was criminal in that situation.
  17. They're really about the same as they have been. Spiller was great, Byrd is good. Mario had a good quarter, that's something different. Run defense was bad. Fitz was putrid. Coaching in general and playcalling in particular sucked. Not much different except for the subpar opponent.
  18. They ran the ball well when they tried to run it. I would have given Spiller the ball a hell of a lot more than Chan did. His 7 yards per attempt with 8 or 9 in the box beats the hell out of Fitz's 2.8 per attempt.
  19. Yea, no Spiller's not a guy you should be bitching about today. He's the only player that moved the offense today or all season really.
  20. And to answer the topic, I think he tries to be too clever. Saving the wildcat throw for that spot was inexplicable. Just a brutal decision. Passing when the run is working. Not leaning on Spiller in a game where it appeared he could dominate. It's like he doesn't want to do what the smart thing is, because he thinks that's what the other team will be expecting. It's a sign that he's lost confidence in the team and in himself. He doesn't think they can just go out and be better than the other guys.
  21. In spite of the coaching, which was about as bad a job as I've seen in a long time, in all 3 phases.
  22. lol you might think that unless you've actually watched the team play.

  24. so that's all the d-line starters with an impact play this game now except Mario...
