  1. Nelson Spruce, WR Colorado. Kid catches everything. Great route runner, punt returner. Worth a late round shot.
  2. Two unopened boxes of Fluite Flakes, an unopened Flutie Flakes chocolate bar, a package of Bills Pasta, and an unopened box of MariO's
  3. "I'll be honest," Ryan said. "Doug's a good guy. But I haven't thought one second about his situation. I mean, that's the truth."
  4. If the Broncos cut this guy (looks likely) PICK HIM UP!! Go Bills! http://www.denverbroncos.com/team/roster/Zac-Dysert/e09cd2ad-646c-4d52-96e4-bbbf76b4da15
  5. I had a couple of different things happen the last two years. First year DTV did an auto renew. When the first piece of the package charge hit my bill, I called and complained, they reduced the price after some haggling. They also promised 20 bucks off for six months. They only did that for four months, which I leveraged into 129 for for Sunday Ticket and 10 bucks off the entire bill last year. Plus they threw in the Red Zone Channel. I didn't think I'd like that one, but it really was very cool. Sort of locked into DTV (resold by the company I work for) so I'll try and haggle again this year. I haven't threatened ending service yet. Good Luck all and Go Bills.
  6. Played golf a week ago Saturday, temp around 55. Snow on Thursday (4 or 5 inches) Followed by 50's Friday, 64 Saturday, then another round of golf yesterday. Yes, the snow all melted. That's winter in Denver, but the sun shines. Yes, it beats Buffalo. Go Bills!
  7. A bit late to the party, but here's my story. I got the NFL Package last year for $199.95 Plus, they took $20 off my entrie bill for a year (still getting that bonus) Got my renewal letter yesterday, called and told them I didn't want to automagically renew. Said I was on the fence for the package. So they offered the whole package, plus the RedZone, for a TOTAL of 29.95. Pretty sweet deal.
  8. Wore an OJ jersey to the Broncos-Bill game in Denver 1976. Had a lady spill a beer down my back from the seat behind. Actually met the Juice and got his autograph when the Bills bus arrived at their Hotel. Of course, that was the "old Juice" a long time ago........
  9. I would absolutlely love if we could sucker Jerry Jones into trading into the top ten, collect some picks from the Cowboys. And get the QB they want in the process. Posted previously there is a muzzle on Buddy this year, really Mcloving the lack of information coming out this year, I think that's the way to go. Who do the powers that be like/dislike? Guessing like everyone else. Makes it exciting. Go Bills!
  10. So Buddy tells the Toronto Sun....."I've said from Day 1 there'll be two quarterbacks in this draft that will be long-time starters in this league"......really? Granted, I don't read everything, but I don't recall him saying this before. Sounds like an analytical nugget of wisdom. As in statistical analysis, which I'm all for. I get the impression that Buddy has had his muzzle pulled a little bit tighter this year as have the rest of the real power brokers of the Bills. I believe that's a good thing. Who is behind that? Doesn't matter I guess. All I read is generalities, not specifics. In the past the powers that be were much more open about thier intentions, specific players and plans. I like the cloak and dagger approach much better. Gives me hope the grand plan is a good one. I'm a glass half full kinda guy though. Go Bills!
  11. Personally, I believe they should draft BPA at 8 (won't be a QB) and draft Tyler Wilson in round 2. I think that kid will be something special.
  12. BYU defensive lineman Ezekial "Ziggy" Ansah. Much as we need a QB, this guy is going to be great. JMHO.
  13. Not real happy about this, particularly because I live in Denver. The Denver Post tried this years ago and finally gave up. Hopefully the Buffalo News will do the same. Won't pay for it. Used to deliver the Courier Express, liked that paper better anyway!
  14. I do remember the Bills winning in the 60's. That was fun. Moved to Colorado many years ago and still root for the Bills and Sabres (not the Broncos or Avs) Seeing everyone here go crazy for the Stanley Cup(s) and Super Bowl(s) was fun. And although they aren't very good right now, after graduating from the University of Colorado and then seeing them win the National Championship in 1990 was a complete and total joy ride.
  15. Perfectly aware of how hard it is to find a franchise quarterback. And I believe the Bills would have drafted Russell Wilson this year (he went too early) or Kirk Cousins (blast the Skins for taking him where they did) Chan has a record of getting the most from the guy he has. In spite of the fact I watched Kordell Stewart all the way through college I always thought he was a dog, Chan got as much as he could from him as OC of the Steeleers. I belive Chan and Buddy must know they have to make a move, And tell Russell Wilson and Ryan Tannehill it takes two or three years. They aren't the greatest. Yet. But Fitz has to be better. And he is not.
  16. When Buddy and Chan took over, the number of quality players on this team was pretty dismal. I believe they have added the pieces to field a very competitive team, except for two spots. Linebacker and quaterback. I like Fitz, but sorry, they need a much more dynamic presence at the position. A couple stud linebackers would help too. Go Bills!
  17. There is another Bills Backers bar in NW Denver, not as cheesy as Lodo's. Big Hoss BBQ on Tennyson. I do have Sunday Ticket this year, looking forward to it. Go Bills!
  18. You know I love this board...The humor...the insight...the information. I'm serious.
  19. Called DirecTV yesterday trying to angle for a deal on the NFL Package. After some verbal sparring around, the rep claimed there was no way they could lower the price. I replied I have been a DirecTV subscriber for 6-7 years, there must be something they could do. And they did....$20 off my bill per month for a year. My tiny brain tells me that adds up to $240. So I paid full price for the package, $199. So be it. Go Bills!
  20. I enjoy my DirecTV service, never had an issue in 6+ years. Did get Center Ice three years ago and watched every Sabres game. With the NBC Sports Network, NHL Network and NBC I can get my Sabres fix that way now. But I will be ordering the NFL Package this year now that they lowered the price. Getting to see the Bills every week? Outstanding. Go Bills!
  21. Although I live in Denver now, the drunks are the same. Maybe worse because of the altitute. My first Bills game was in November 62 (I was 10) We took a bus downtown to the Rockpile. Froze our butts. Lost to the Boston Patriots. In those days, they didn't have a net to catch the footballs. After one extra point, there was a big bunch of big scary looking guys waiting behind the goal post where the ball should have landed. Instead, the ball went MUCH further, right to some little kid who was subsequently engulfed by a huge crowd. Always wondered if he lived. He didn't get the ball. Congrats on the baby.
  22. Denver, Colorado....born in Buffalo..raised in Williamsville
