  1. Have the league supply the game balls via the zebras with the teams getting no chance to inspect them before the game. Remove the specialty balls for kicks and field goals. Change the extra point to what they experimented with last preseason.
  2. Best and maybe only way to get people into the stadium earlier is a downtown stadium with no tailgating. Bills fans love tailgating. It will always trump anything the Bills can come up with.
  3. I have seen mothers with their kids get verbally abused in the parking lot just for that. Sadly that's all it takes for some drunk pussies.
  4. Will the wifi be free or a hotspot kind of thing? And the wifi itself might get some people into the stadium earlier.
  5. A lot of people believe that a team without a QB can't go far. That is what is driving a lot of these comments I'm sure.
  6. It absolutely HAS to be that way. TV pays the bills, at the end of the day football is just entertainment.
  7. Probably figured they had to pay him enough to have him not just go to TV.
  8. Perhaps, but he will get a nice bonus from Krafty for taking the fall for the team. And you know what they say, you can leave the burn unit of a hospital with 3rd degree burns on 80% of your body, but if you get in a Lamborghini you can get a girl.
  9. I agree. But that can't go on forever, particularly if the NFL as a product does not expand successfully offshore.
  10. It is a interesting phenomena and will probably always be a factor as long as there are cities willing to pay the ransom to get a team. I think it will be harder and harder for cities to pay up because at some point, maybe now even, the people are going to revolt over spending that much taxpayer money (I'm there now) for something as unnecessary as a NFL team. And at some point I think the Pegula's of the world will start passing as well. But as long as there is some entity willing to pay, teams will jump.
  11. Yes there is. False hope is when someone gets their hopes up [for reasons largely in their heads] and end up disappointed. This applies to a lot of Bills fans when to came to Gailey for example. Right now Bills fans have hope in Rex. Only time will tell if it is false hope or not. You for example, may feel that a head coach with a sub .500 career record is accomplished. Some do not. Like I said earlier, success or flame out, with Rex one thing it will not be is boring.
  12. It's easy to explain. Rex is a Bill now so obviously he is great. Look back or remember when both the Gailey and Marrone hires were hailed as great right after they happened for other recent examples. I have my doubts about Rex based on past performance as I did with Marrone and Gailey. But only time will tell if Sexy Rexy turns it around or flames out. Until then enjoy the ride and give him your support is my advice. Rex is nothing if not entertaining.
  13. Shady didn't like being traded, or at least traded to Buffalo, and didn't like not being informed until the deal was done. I know it's the off season and things are slow but come on media, get over it and move on.
  14. See the quote above from WEO. But we can only hope he has learned what not to do from his Jets experience. And yes, I'd even take just a playoff game at this point as progress.
  15. Generally anyone who says everything about the Bills is rainbows and unicorns is considered good and has original insight by many here. But the reality is very few have any original insight, they mainly just rehash stuff they have read elsewhere. Particularly in the offseason where there isn't much to report on, yet they keep writing. The most reviled writer here is Sully. He often has "original insight" I suppose, but it is 99% negative. Which you might expect writing about a team that hasn't sniffed the playoffs in a decade and a half I suppose.
  16. Whaley has skin in that game though.
  17. His first two seasons there I believe. And then?
  18. Rex is acting now just like he did when he went to the Jets where he ended up going down in spectacular flames. Just look at the tat and the truck for example. He likes to talk, and likes to be a spectacle. I am basically ignoring all the bull **** right now. We will see soon enough what kind of a head coach he really is. He certainly has more than enough talent on this team to make the playoffs. He could not backup his talk in NYC, lets see how he does on a Bills team loaded with talent.
  19. You see some players at restaurants and bars in the SJF area and downtown Rochester as well (Dinosaur BBQ for example) every camp. I've never seen any out terribly late or drunk. But to get out a little to decompress with teammates is probably a good thing.
  20. Just curious, if nice, well spoken, and hard working are your main criteria how do you know Taylor and Cassel aren't all of those as well?
  21. Or Ej is 2nd or 1st. Camp and preseason will decide the order as it should be. The only tie left to EJ's draft is Whaley so there should not be much bias involved in the decision. I just hope whoever comes out on top turns out to be a competent game manager.
  22. Lets hope you get that chance!
  23. That's because the Bills have sucked EVERY SINGLE YEAR camp has been at SJF.
  24. I wouldn't be surprised if scalpers are buying up as many as they can though this season!
