  1. Very small market town with not much to offer someone not born there. Uncertainty of the teams future after Ralph passes. It is a train wreck currently with no known sound QB in place. At absolute best a 3 year plan away from becoming a factor even in the AFC east. If you were an experienced HC with a family and had other choices would you go there?
  2. So what's the plan for next season?
  3. It's all about the $$$ man.
  4. I hear you. I love watching hockey though. I was a little frustrated when they first introduced TV Timeouts there as well. But they are few enough and I learned when I saw that little red light between the penalty boxes go on to make a break to get rid of some beer. That seems to work out well. I just hope they don't go overboard with that in hockey too.
  5. Decrease, are you insane? Bills season tickets are cheap as dog**** already compared to the rest of the league. I would expect a modest increase depending upon what they accomplish during the offseason.
  6. No. I do not wish for anyone to be injured. And I certainly do not get any joy from anyone, even a key player for the cheatriats, getting injured. I do not think that any reasonable person who has had a serious injury themselves could get any of the twisted joy that you felt.
  7. My problem with the NFL product is the over the top commercialization. Consider the sequence of events during a game: Touchdown TV timeout Extra point TV timeout Kickoff TV timeout Then every quarter break, when teams call timeout, and even every punt or turnover there is a TV timeout. It has gotten beyond ridiculous in my opinion. It all stems from the crazy player salaries. Lee Evans, 9 million dollars a year for a 16 game season. That's $562,500.00 a game just for that one player! In order to (over)pay the players and generally everyone else involved they need high TV revenue and they can only get that with lots of artificial timeouts for commercials. It has gotten to the point that I cannot just watch a game. I need to be doing something else as well or all of the dead time would drive me crazy. I certainly don't see player salaries decreasing, so I'm stuck with the way it is. I rarely watch football now except for the Bills for this reason. Fortunately I live in the Rochester area and get the games on cable. The Sunday Ticket would be an extreme waste of money for me. In fact if I didn't live around here I probably would not watch much football at all. Of course I respect your opinion as well and can appreciate your love of the game. I have had the Ticket in the past and it is a nice package. The love of football has just been driven out of me, not by the Bills ineptitude the past decade, but by the monotony of how the games are broadcast.
  8. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
  9. I will be head of scouting. Specifically I intend to setup an office at the sundowner to maximize my Jills recruiting.
  10. No. I don't think there is any chance. But if someone thinks Chin is on the fence and just needs a little push ...
  11. I'm shocked that no one has organized sending Mrs. Cowher 1000 of her favorite flower from "The Buffalo Bills Fans". Gotta sweet talk the boss to get the Chin in WNY!
  12. That Boomer is a cheap !@#$.
  13. Smartest thing I have heard any of these guys say yet.
  14. "Get that vending machine stock guy that services OBD on the phone, I need confirmation!"
  15. and back to hero again in another 12 (or less) probably.
  16. Really? You are lucky. With me it is very consistent .... buy this ... buy this ... buy this ....
  17. I agree with you. I would call him an adequate coach and certainly a significant upgrade to anything we have had in recent memory. It is all still speculation of course, but ask yourselves this. There are many reasons the Bills organization and fans would want Cowher, but what are the reasons Cowher would want the Bills? And please don't say money. Money is not a strong motivator for those that already have it. And please don't say control because he will get that anywhere he goes.
  18. I'm not saying yet it's a done deal that Cowher isn't coming here because no one knows until he or the Bills say so. But what makes you and others think it's a matter of throwing enough money at someone in his position? He was well paid by the steelers, and continues to be well paid by CBS. He certainly is not desperate for money by any stretch of the imagination. Just because you or I might live hand to mouth does not mean the same rules apply to someone in Cowhers position.
  19. So what does this tell us? Perhaps that all of this speculation is just pissing into the wind? All these will he, won't he threads as well as these so called insiders writing the "news" (term used loosely) is all just mental masturbation. Instead of getting all worked up over this how about sitting back and waiting for the Bills or one of the potential coaches to actually say something. You know, the facts.
  20. There really was no reason to get excited about any aspect of the game itself. However you have to respect the Bill fans though for showing up in that. I just hope those shirtless guys weren't shirtless for too long. Frostbite is a B word
  21. I used to live in that area years ago and then NYC teams seemed to dominate the TV.
  22. Doesn't do any good to B word here. Call/email the TV station. Their thought probably is show a game that has some meaning.
  23. It is getting old for me too. Having one every 4 years to keep it exciting would be a better idea.
