  1. Nice of the announcer to mention Mr. Salvatore and his restaurant. Too bad it wasn't done earlier in the game when more people in Buffalo were still watching though.
  2. 17-1
  3. Sure would be nice to go to Jersey and knock the Jets out of the playoffs.
  4. He really had to challenge an obvious bad call like that. You can fault Bellicheat about a great many things. But not that.
  5. For as much as you can tell one game into a 16 game season, yes. Unless you want your definition of "good" to include the record from the previous season and perhaps include strength of opponent (based on last years record) in your analysis. Would you watch both games and make your determination based on your perceived effort and attitude of the teams involved?
  6. This ranking is idiotic. The one a week or two ago that had the Bills higher was done by people who really know football. Do we see a pattern here? Both are just someones opinion. Don't worry about it.
  7. 16-1 against the Bills huh. No wonder I hate him.
  8. Because they aren't. Teams, by definition, are as good as their record. That's why they keep score and keep track of wins and losses. Fans of teams with (long time) losing records generally say this if their team shows any signs of life during the season. Or at the very least to give themselves and each other hope for the next season. I'm not a big believer in "attitude" or "effort" being a determining factor. Attitude, in my opinion, is just bull **** right up there with "buying into a system". These people are professionals getting paid obscene (in a lot of cases) amounts of money to play a freaking game. If they cannot, or do not, give their best effort every game, then they should be fired and no longer be professionals. Just my opinion of course. Not trying to bicker with anyone.
  9. Yes, but you can walk there from wherever you park.
  10. Obviously they don't have attitude.
  11. Kenny and the red pinto are still in lot one in the normal place. I can't speak to any of the others.
  12. The Bills had 7000 tickets to give away the last 2 days. Hopefully they found 7000 takers to go. Will most of the season ticket holders go? That is the bigger question.
  13. That is a statement made by losers. It starts, and ends, with talent. Now that is something I can agree with!
  14. Actually the one I remember is that a explosive back like Spiller makes an offensive line better. It was an eye roller as far as I was concerned, but that was one of the reasons given for drafting him 9th. At some point he will rip off the occasional highlight reel run, but I still think he is to small to be a consistently effective running back at the NFL level. Not a bust by any means, but not what you want from a 9th overall running back either . I would be very happy to be wrong, but time will tell.
  15. Well ... uhhh .... you may have noticed that the Bills have not been selling out recent games. And the only reason Sundays sold out was due to the generosity of one local business owner who purchased 7000 tickets at the last minute. But carry on.
  16. Correct. Just like no one on these boards can say for certain that he would have bought them. Relax and enjoy the game.
  17. Earlier in the week I think it was 5. Too many people must have been taking the Pats. I have been doing well taking the Bills and the points this season but I was going to skip this week at 5. 9 has me reconsidering.
  18. Ha! Starting before the game even begins. Nicely done!
  19. I will if I'm in the area. Besides, by all accounts I have heard the food there is supposed to be excellent.
  20. I doubt he would have. He did not do it previous weeks and it was 10% of the seats.
  21. Heard on the news last night that it was about 7000 tickets and he asked for them to be distributed to veterans. Seems like a very nice guy.
  22. Oh I agree with you. I choose not to go (though at $300 a game I would definitely feel the bite). It is not a right to see a NFL game. The NFL produces a product and they have every right to make as much money as they can from said product. But because some like me choose not to go doesn't change the fact that there are many fans who simply cannot afford to go. How much money is enough money to make when it means screwing over your true fans that cannot happen to afford the high price to attend the game.
  23. God bless you Russell J. Salvatore! I don't eat in the Buffalo area much, but I will be keeping your place in mind when I do!
  24. Even Sunday when you can get a ticket for say $25 and park "off campus" for $10 and drink 2 beers for say $15. That's $50. That same $50 buys you considerably more than 2 beers and some wings to go with them at a bar showing the game. The stadium experience is always fun. But there are some (yeah, me ) that prefer to sit in a warm bar or on my couch drinking my beer than freezing my ass off on aluminum benches for December games. The NFL has the right to make money of course. And if they feel the blackout rule sells more tickets (not sure I agree but it is their call) then so be it. But while some don't go because they would rather watch on TV, there are some that simply cannot afford it. Seems a shame to dick them over in the name of putting more money in the pockets of millionaires. Just my opinion though.
  25. If tickets were reasonably priced I would agree with you. But to bring my family of 5 to a game is going to cost me over $300 when it is said and done (have to get that many together from ticketmaster). I know the Bills are one of the lowest in the NFL, but there are a lot of families that can't afford a big price tag to watch a sporting event for one afternoon. It's a shame the NFL insists on !@#$ing them further.
