What's so strange about that? Working Mon-Fri then fly out to whereever they need to work on Sunday. What do they have to do Mon-Fri that would preclude them from having another job? Maybe they want to make more than 50K a year and/or would be bored sitting around all week doing nothing. What's strange is people thinking being a NFL ref is a full time gig. We are talking about one day a week for 17 weeks and a few more weeks of playoffs for some of them. It's not like Hockey for example where there are are games almost every night of the week for a much longer season.

That is quite possibly the most ridiculous nonsense I have ever read. Because the officials on the field did not see it or made a mistake a deliberate dangerous hit should not be punished by the league? How does that make things more consistent? WTF are you thinking?

In the first 4 games Spiller has 13 carries for a total of 94 yards and 4 receptions for a total of 13 yards. In the first 4 games Fred has 64 carries for a total of 369 yards and 13 receptions for a total of 147 yards. Yes Spillers yards per carry average are about 1.4 more than Jackson, but Spiller has to few to be statistically meaningful. It's more like one punch with Spiller giving Fred a breather, at least thus far.

I agree that it will probably be a high scoring, close game. But you lost me with the bolded part. Spiller??? He barely sees the field?

How can you not like the Bills chances. Philly top DE is out. Philly top LB is out Philly a couple OL are out. But Philly is a dangerous team with their backs up against the wall. If they drop this one to the Bills they are in very deep ****. Plus with the way that rookie QB lit us up in the 2nd half last week the prospect of Vick who is also a very good runner is scary. No blow out either way in my opinion if the Bills get back to the form of the first 3 games. If the Bills offense fails to score like last week we will lose like last week.

You kinda just made my point ... the offense was struggling which means they were not doing their job. The offense had plenty of opportunities with the ball all game and managed a lowly 1 TD and 2 FG. As I said before, the defense scored only 6 fewer points than the offense did! Plus they had one additional turnover! Blaming the defense only is illogical.

As did the offense. Scoring 13 points is not going to cut it against any team.

Once an all clown always an ass clown. But I dislike every ex-player commentator/analyst. Coaches are fine, ex-players suck IMO.

That is quite a stretch. It certainly would have improved their chances, but saying they absolutely would have won the game????? It's not like the game was in the final seconds and when Cinci got the ball they hit a hail mary to win. There were more possessions after that call.

Never said the D played great. The D gave up 23 points. The D also scored 7 which makes a net given up of 16. The Bills O scored 13. I'm just saying I don't understand people complaining about just the D in that game.

I have an honest question for all you guys who see all the holding, facemask, and all the other obvious penalties not called against Bills opponents each and every game. Do you see the Bills doing these things as well, or is it always just their opponents that get away with it every game?

I have to agree with the OP. The offense scored 3 times, 1 TD and 2 FG. The defense scored as many TDs as the offense did that game. I'm not sure at all how you blame the D for that loss. I can't see it. You aren't going to win many games with your offense scoring so few points.

I get all my jerseys from dhgate. With players changing teams, or changing numbers so frequently I refuse to pay $100+ for something I can get for $20 delivered to my house. I got my kid a first season Spiller. If I had paid $100 or more for that I would be !@#$ing PISSED when he changed numbers. Now I just order a new one for $20, no problem. Illegal, certainly. Unethical, absolutely. Taking money out of the poor NFL owners mouths, no because if I couldn't get them from dhgate I wouldn't get them at all (but I wish I was taking money out of their mouths).

I think you both have a point. There are some so called "negative Nancys" who react like Casey points out. And there are some so called "pollyannas" who react like jw points out. And there are a lot more people who can carry on polite discussions, even disagreeing, without resorting to "go root for the pats" or other derogatory statements. It just seems at times that threads can get flooded by the intolerant extremists which is unfortunate.

This question has been brought up in countless threads. Some people think they can be a fan of a team but still question the teams methods and think the team is not very good wrt player and coaching talent. Some people think you cannot be a fan of a team if you question the teams methods or think the players or coaches lack talent. You seem to fall into the latter category, but there are some who fall into the former. Simple enough.
