  1. Damn man you are fast. I haven't even gotten a verbal report from my family yet
  2. The way the NFL goes out of it's way to achieve parity among teams, one would have thought 13 times was impossible. No you are basically correct. Being a marketing man he won't, as you stated, say anything negative. So if he won't say anything negative, how can you take it too seriously when he says something positive? This isn't just Brandon I'm talking about, but anyone in sales or marketing .... particularly successful ones like Brandon. As an example, when all of the car companies in the world put ads on TV stating that their particular car is the best thing on the market. Are they all? Ads come from marketing guys people (no reason to be sexist ).
  3. I guess it isn't simple, or you are just being obtuse. But I will try once more. I do not know what Brandon thinks. Either do you I assume. But your assumption that Brandon thinks Marrone will be a good coach is logical and is probably true. But no matter what he thinks, he is only going to make statements that help ticket sales, not hurt them. That's what he gets paid to do, make Mr. Wilson money. So when you hear a marketing person talk like that, it really doesn't mean much. That is my only point. I am saying nothing about what Brandon really thinks because I have no idea.
  4. If they want to dance like sugar plum fairies just go over to the sideline and do it. I don't see any problem with this. It can still happen, just over on the sideline.
  5. Nice report! Also nice to hear EJ did not tuck it and run. Very encouraging!
  6. I never said that Brandon selling tickets is a bad thing. That's his job and he has been damn good doing it. Simply stating my opinion that when marketing boy Brandon makes a statement this his shiny new coach is going to take a team that has been bad for 13 seasons and turn them into winners, it is a PR statement to sell tickets. No more, no less. Pretty simple actually.
  7. I have no idea what he thinks. But regardless of what he really thinks, what you hear are things that will sell more tickets (that's his job after all).
  8. When someone non biased and knowledgeable says they believe the Bills will be good (or bad) to me it has some meaning. When the head marketing person for the Bills says he believes that his new coach is going to turn the team into winners I think it is 100% marketing BS. Nothing. Someone has to do it. I was just stating my opinion that Brandon making that statement is nothing more than selling the team.
  9. Well that is as meaningful as yet another article about how Brandon thinks his coach dejour is going to make the Bills into winners. I think Marrone has a much better chance of doing that than the two before him. But if anyone thinks Brandon making public statements like that isn't about marketing I have a bridge and some swamp land for sale.
  10. I'm sure Russ Brandons public opinion for the last 13 years has been that the coach of the day was going to make the team winners. He wants to sell tickets, particularly seasons for gods sake. Do you really expect him to say that the Bills are going to suck this season so you are better off holding onto your money for a couple more years? When knowledgeable people who have no stake in the Bills organization say that kind of stuff it has some meaning. But even that isn't guaranteed to be correct, I refer you to last season as an example. The season isn't very far off now. In just a few weeks we will begin to know what this season will look like.
  11. Not just windy, but gusty as well. Tough day to kick accurately for anyone.
  12. Practice ended an hour early again today. Stevies reponse to my sons "how's the hammy" question ... "tight but getting better".
  13. He was on the bike at practice yesterday and is supposed to be in the autograph tent today. My kids plan on asking him how the leg is while getting their Stevie jerseys signed
  14. The nut is correct. They charge $1 for the shuttle bus for anyone over 12. My biggest camp expense is all the t-shirts my kids sweet talk my wife into buying.
  15. Come on now, there is no reason to f@#$ your dog!
  16. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/159935-stevie-johnson-carried-off-the-field/
  17. Based on my limited observations so far, my answer based on pure talent is a resounding "no way". However, other factors other than talent can change the outcome like cutting Kolb for salary etc.so who knows.
  18. BellyCheat would use it against them.
  19. According to my in house reporters, EJ looked good and Kolb looked pretty good as well. EJ tucked it in and ran once where Kolb was more likely to throw it away than run. Kolb was getting the crap blitzed out of him as well whereas they seemed to be letting EJ take his time and make the play rather than scramble. Lucky Kolb gets to be in while the D works on it's blitz packages
  20. Good thing Marrone didn't take a job in a place like NYC if he gets that irritated so easily.
  21. I'm surprised they didn't pad-up a little more today. It was a early morning practice and it was nice and cool.
  22. I couldn't go today. I wish the Bills would put a series of webcams on various parts of the field for people to watch. But I suppose BellyCheat would record it all if they did.
  23. Me, from my vast experience of watching him Sunday night.
  24. I think "sucks" is way too strong. He is not a long term solution of course but seems more than capable of running things until Manuel is ready, then as a capable backup. All the people that are hell bent on getting Manuel starting NOW puzzle me. I don't care if it takes the entire season, I don't want him in until Marrone knows he is ready. For example, EJ seems to get happy feet real easy so far. That is OK in camp but is a sure way to get himself hurt in live games.
