The Buffalo Sabres better have a guarantee Devon Levi will sign with the Sabres or this Erik Portillo trade with the Los Angeles Kings is a disaster. Also Buffalo Sabres fans wake up no college hockey goalie highly regarded today is going to the minors like Rochester Americans. Ryan Miller times were different there are more NHL teams and not enough starting goalies no goalie any good is going to minors. It’s like asking Josh Allen to play for the XFL ridiculous. That is all the Buffalo Sabres have to offer a big league salary and position. Forget UPL he is a backup goalie in the NHL. This had nothing to do with competition why Portillo didn’t sign with Buffalo this had to do with Buffalo and the Buffalo Sabres old school philosophy of holding players earnings down playing in the minors because Terry Pegula is cheap. $18 million dollars under the NHL salary cap I don’t want to hear about the Sabres can’t sign Devon Levi and trading for draft picks forever. If Devon Levi isn’t signed playing in the NHL for the Buffalo Sabres. Sabres GM Kevyn Adams should be fired in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo

I’ll bet that Levi starts a game for Buffalo this season.

You have to bring 1/2 ounce of weed to play this game no?

    Yes.

I played for the first time this past summer, and I’ll admit I had a lot of fun.  I met a friend up at Sugarbush ski resort and took the gondola to the summit where there was a course built into the trails.  I didn’t know there were different discs for different types of “throws.”  I pretty much sucked at it, but would definitely play again.

Gee... A really great time for the brain to cope while flying down the expressway @ 65 mph!

I try to limit my dissociative fugues while doing less dangerous things like mowing my lawn or snow blowing... Yet those pesky blades and augers sure can get in the way! 😉

Dissociation exists at many different levels/layers of consciousness.  Dissociative Fugue?  Easy Walter White 😂

There’s a lot of merit in how bad sugar is and what it does to your body. Within the last 10 years, I’ve been as heavy as 220, changed up my diet and got as low as 166 (my high school weight). And changing my diet and reducing my sugar intake was a big reason why.

It’s not the number on the scale I’m chasing, it’s how I feel mentally and improving my mood. There’s such a thing as a vegan “glow”…you can google it, I’m not making it up. I’ve seen it in person. For the record, I ate vegan cookie dough today and it was delicious. And it had sugar in it haha. A vegan diet doesn’t have to be debilitating.

    Ummmm….have you tried weed?

My wife is in an interesting spot. Similar to @Johnny Hammersticks, she is a school psych (not a PhD, just a MS) and this is her 8th year in a public school here in NY. Obviously we are awaiting the supreme court’s decision on the 10k she is eligible for in relief via Biden’s plan.

If it goes through, we will pay off the remaining balance no matter what.

Although, I am assuming it won’t, and she’ll be on the hook for the full remaining balance (around 16k). We are contemplating what it’d look like to pay outright a large sum and be done with it vs. paying on the loans for two more years while incruing interest and seeing is the PSLF would wipe out the remainder, ultimately saving us money in the long run. We’ve run a few amortization schedules in the past, and it seems to come down to how fast she could get approved and the loans forgiven.

We’ll see! She’s contemplated returning to school for her PhD and looking into private practice. A few of her old classmates at her graduate program went on to do that. She currently works with one of the most needy inner city populations. Her job is difficult. She’s a warrior. Either way I am happy for her, and us, to be done with that unnecessary burden.  I know she has more than earned it.

DM me if you have any questions about PSLF.  Now is the time to do it.  I can at least get you all started.  Not a very complicated process, especially if your wife has only had one employer.

PS: Don’t count on the Biden student loan relief legislation to come through.

  6. I recently had a conversation with my therapist about this.  It seems that this phenomenon can be explained, in part, by dissociation.  I recall long drives home from a stressful day at work or a busy day of grad classes, and forgetting the last 20 miles of my commute.  Totally lost in nothingness. The brain’s neurological coping mechanism.

Yes. My nephew's boyfriend.  He's a 300 pound vegan! Seriously... It ain't as healthy as you think.

I heard an interview recently with Rick Rubin where he talks about how he was a strict vegan for a substantial amount of time, yet he was the heaviest he had ever been in his life.

It’s every individuals choice, but it can make things tough on friends and family who have to accommodate. It’s just one small thing to consider, not to change your plans but it’s just a little different if you have a group who wants to go out for a bite to eat.

    Good luck with it!

In other words, don’t go out to eat at restaurants at which you aren’t completely certain there are vegan options.  Call in advance.  No one wants to sit there for 25 minutes while the waitress goes back and forth to the kitchen trying to figure out if your meal can be made vegan.  I’m trying to help 😉

  9. A vegan diet CAN be healthy if done correctly.  My wife was a vegan for over a year, but has gone back to eating meat and fish occasionally as she found herself to feel “fatigued” and not herself at times.

You need to be careful to consume foods that give you protein, calcium, iron, and other essential vitamins such a B12.

Who wants to be a nurse? Such a grind. Give the medical degree away free, now we are in business... That's why healthcare is so expensive... The damn doctors.  They need a sweet return on their medical education expenses...

    😏

I want to dunk your head in a toilet and give you a swirly so bad.  Nerd.
