I seem to recall Sister Jeanne teaching us that one in CCD.

That lady kinda scared me! Sister Jeanne or the porn star you ask?

    BOTH!

    Hosanna in the highest!!

  2. Wasn’t it John 23:12 that read “The time was six o'clock on the Swatch watch.  No time to chill, got a date, can't be late.  Hey, the girl is gonna do me.  Move to the Jacuzzi, ooh, that booty.  Smack it up, flip it, rub it down, oh, no!”  Amen…

Realistically, even if he's drafted in the 1st round, he's going to play in the G-League for a bit. If he's a late 1st/early 2nd, he can lock in a 3 year deal around $6-8 million; Syracuse is not going to match that.

We'll see how it goes; like I said, I haven't personally heard anything yet, but my personal expectation the entire time has been that I would assume he's gone and if he comes back, that's great. I still think there's a chance he goes late 1st round this year if he stays in the draft; I know he has a lot of fans out there in the draft community and if teams agree that he could be a lottery pick next year, they'll likely be fine drafting him later in the 1st round this year to get him in the facility.

I totally get it, but I see it as immediate gratification as opposed to a potential larger pay day if he develops in college for another season.  I’m biased though.

I am telling you— this team historically has no luck with guys on the fence actually coming back.

Where’s he gonna go though?  He’s likely a 2nd round draft pick at this point.  Does he develop in the D League for a bit?  Does he go to Europe?  I think he’ll make more in NIL money if he stays for a year.  I just don’t understand this.

I haven't heard anything myself, but another person I know that has sources is saying he's officially worried about Judah Mintz leaving.

I haven’t heard anything.  This would suck.  Selfishly, I want him back obviously.  I really do think he can be a 2024 lottery pick with another year of good coaching and improving his outside shot.

The wife got her official notice today that her loans are forgiven.

    Original loan was $90K

    She's paid back $50K

    She still owed $117K

Yes, she still owed almost $30K more than the original loan.

    Nice!

My wife just last Friday got notice that her loans were also forgiven through the PSLF program.  Between the two of us, that’s ~$1200/month in additional income.  Life altering.  We both made about 50-60 additional payments than the 120 required.

Just not as bright as the red and white of St John’s Red Storm with Rick Pitino in MSG with the money to buy the players. I don’t have a doubt Rick Pitino will be more successful than Syracuse Orange basketball. Syracuse fan is going to have to get use to that Syracuse basketball is limited in a college free agency system today like Buffalo Sabres hockey that is a big reason why Jim Boeheim moved on. It doesn’t mean that the Orange and Sabres can’t win but there limited by the market they both play in in my opinion. Go Bills! Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo

I haven't heard anything concrete, but it seems that the recruiting world at large expects us to land Donnie Freeman, which would be a huge get for us.

2024 power forward, right?  I had heard the same thing recently.  There was one other school (I believe Maryland) that was also still in the mix….

That is very kind and generous of you to protect the jobs of those simply working hard to feed their families.  Bravo to you, sir!

You might want to elevate to spilling everything on the canned vegetable aisle onto the floor. They will have to hire more staff and feed more children.

As a former cart pusher, I did not mind going all over the parking lot getting carts, because it meant less time in the store dealing with customers.  Now, as a customer, I do make sure I put my cart in the corral, even going so far as to straighten it up for the current cart pushers.  [old man voice] And back in my day, we did not have these fancy motorized cart pushing machines, we did it by hand! Uphill! (It's true, our parking lot was sloped from the front entrance down to the road) [/old man voice]

I was just joking.  I put my cart in the little corral thing.  May peace be with you.

If you want to get out of work a couple hours early, but not use the personal time, tell them your child got in a fight with some MS-13 gang members at recess.  No one will question.

When you tote your groceries out to your car in the cart, just leave it in front of your car.  No need to return it. They have people for that.

  11. I went down to Myrtle Beach this past week for break.  We drove all night and got there at like 10am.  The kids wanted to go right to the beach, but I was exhausted.  I figured a cup of coffee and smoke a bowl and I’m good to go for a few hours.  Problem…I forgot to pack my pipe and no papers.

I successfully made a bowl out of a granola bar and it worked wonderfully. Just smooshed it all up and then shaped it around the handle of a wooden cooking spoon.  Life hacks!
