Vermont is only an expert on Maple syrup and Teddy bears. With all due respect, raptors aren't their forte. -
1/19/25 Division Round Playoff GAMEDAY THREAD Bills vs. Ravens

I don't. I don't know what to expect from Modrack. I believe he may be ready to put some cards on the table because his efforts in his first year have been admirable. Combined with Tee Martin as the QB coach I think they've done wonders and that's because they don't take gambles. They set up plays and they design the scheme to maximize every opportunity. And it works. Jackson doesn't throw targets open like he used to sometimes do. He plays smarter than that but also hits Windows from time to time. What he does is rely on the first read and it almost always an option. When the ball goes up today you must expect that the target is open. Every single pass he has thrown was to a target that was open and clear. He doesn't have to read the defense, which he struggles to process in real time. If the defense can mix it up real time on him for passing plays he might slip. Before the open passes he will see the field. He struggled against some pre snap reads and it when he checks down to the run. If he sees too many in the box or coverage which he knows he can switch to RPO he instantly goes to that option. He doesn't play like an intelligent high vision player. He plays like an athlete who can do whatever he wants whenever he wants because that's what he can usually do. Once he drops back to pass he doesn't check down. It's something around 5% are checked down and even less likely on third down. This is why third down is critical for us to get on the field. He won't check down because he can find the open target or run it himself for the first. To combat the down field opportunities he maximizes in lieu of the check down we have to stay on our WRs a little while longer and play man. We can't let them beat us in the air. We have to let Lamar Jackson and Henry beat us with their legs. This means our front 7 have to beat the 5 OL and 2 of them. This means when Picard enters we must be prepared to install the package necessary to stop the big FB. Same with their extra OL. We need to make sure these refs know that if they're going to sub than we are too, and the defense has the right to do so. All of this makes it a team playing chess against a team that must play Go! The Ravens must and will be strategic to execute their game plan because that's what works best with that style. The Bills must be malleable and neurally sympatic. We need to see the culmination of a year of Rapp and Hamlin playing together, the maturity of Milano who has to play his best game, the high frame per second processing of Johnson and Bernard, and Ed Oliver and the DL fold the pocket.* *Folding the pocket is exactly that. It is not collapsing the pocket because that opens the outside lanes. The Bills must pressure from all 4 sides to be in front, beside, and parallel to behind. -
I think having him as a decoy is as effective as using a #4 or 5 but at the same time they have to look long term if they win. I'm surprised he will not be playing but at the same time think it's best. Classy and Simon in the same sentence? I dunno about that because I have a feeling he uses plastic ware and eats right from the can.

I have been playing the shout song over and over to help my toddler memorize it much to the chagrin of my wife. -

Listening to them talk without sound logic or rationale is infuriating. The little dick energy is amazing. Anytime some one says something about Buffalo they use the same breath to say "but Baltimore." I kid you not. The radio people "Josh Allen can move the ball with his arm and his legs, but he hasn't done what Lamar has done." "The Bills have 3 running backs who compliment each other well but do not have the tools of Derrick Henry." *****, I bet you could get someone saying "OJ Simpson killed 2 people but Ray Lewis killed more better." Which is another thing. That entire franchise is built in honor of Ray Lewis. He's on all the promos in the game and people act like he's a God. Dude is a two bit knuckle dragger who would have never succeeded in life without football. He will be broke and penniless in the years to come and deserve all of it. -
Fent. Pure fent

Brutal man. The Commanders right now - if I was a Lions fan I'd turn the TV off and be broken.
-
No, this is the new regime they don't care much for but haven't been closely affiliated with the team regardless. One was a household name.
-
If you said the Lions are #1 seed in September everyone can acknowledge it. If you said the Commanders make it to the playoffs as a #6 people may shrug and say ok. If you said the Lions get upset by the Commanders in the playoffs being just owned them no one believes it. Throw in Vikings are 3 loss team and Bills win the East you'd have people wanting to commit you.
-
Holy moly that's so frustrating for the Lions fans. I feel for them.

My wife is friends with two former Redskins - played in early 90s. They're clients of hers. They do not care for the organization any longer, fwiw.
-
I picked them on my work playoff sheet. I didn't pick Washington this far at all - I had Tampa. I didn't pick Houston over San Diego, either.
-
I get mixed up with Greensboro having 23 l and 23r and Buffalo. I worked next to the airport and with a lot of pilots (but I'm not in the aviation field). I also browse the efff out of flight radar 24 at work.

Detroit pooping the bed. Wow. Sad.

Agreed. The worst because they were that good. The Chiefs are not even close to that good -
Opted to stay home. Going on a date night with wife. I am sitting here and thinking... These players are wearing the colors which represent a town they may have just found in free agency or the draft, some have been here for a while and have their families here. Most of them know the lore of this town, a frozen town with little sports success. they've seen our fan base and how we embrace them. Current and former - every Bills player is a legend to us. These players, if they only knew how we would fight for them, how we believe, how we want, how much this means... I only hope they can feel the support win lose or draw. But, cmon, we gotta win. We are all behind them. This whole town.

No he's not. He is a Browns fan but not a strong one. He cheers a lot of players and teams. Like everything else in his life he is without faith or integrity.

USC is South Carolina. That is all.

@Simon damar gets lost in wash, Douglas is dumb. And Williams just gets swallowed. There will be a +10 point in the bills/ravens and losing team probably plays flat. I can't expect a blowout. I think both teams play close to chest. See above. Rams to the SB too They do, random knowledge. 23R I think is the only one.

Travis Kelce just burned a gift card to target and punched an old lady at a crosswalk. But came back in. "Shoulder injury" I'm sure. -

Travis Kelce likes to punch puppies in the face and pushes old ladies down the stairs.
