  1. Agreed, but B- ?? I wish I had you as a teacher. Bills have had 1 winning season in the last 10 years, no playoffs, sold part of our games to another city and have drafted no talent in that period of time. More like a D+ at best.
  2. Just like our coach, GM and all of our free agents, Jason Cambell is a tier 3 type of talent. Seems like a good fit for us based on our track record.
  3. Okay... then how do you compare players? Stats are the only medium to do so on a quantatative basis. Maybe you would prefer wins? Here's his record: 92-49-1 record (.651 winning percentage).
  4. Man, just the thought of that puts the Losman jinx on him.
  5. So has Tom Brady... that's why we keep more than 1 QB on the roster. You can't question his toughness.
  6. He has a higher career QB rating than Jim Kelly and Dan Marino, and is tied with Brett Farve. He had less weapons/OL than Kelly in his career. Let's stop pretending like he's an average QB. He is significantly better than any QB on our roster and anyone we can get in the draft.
  7. Good call. With the extension, let's assume McNabb has a typical season... does that mean if they lose him in FA that they will get a conditional 3rd or 4th? I'm thinking if they don't resign him it almost washes out the 2011 conditional pick. Basically, they get to rent him for a 2nd, and have an opportunity to negotiate for a full year before he hits the market.
  8. Money talks. McNabb, like every other professional athelete, will go to whatever teams will pay him the most. He knows the Bills are cheap. If we maxed out deal and gave him weapons he would come here in a heartbeat. That's why the Skins are a perfect fit - they will give him a huge extension and buy a team around him. I'm not arguing that actually doing this strategy is right for the franchise, but under the same circumstances he will get in DC, he would come to Buffalo.
  9. Exactly. I'm almost thinking the Skins were not sold on Clauson as a franchise QB either if they had to sweeten the deal over the other rumored teams. Also, the Skins know who McNabb is - they've played against him 20 times. I don't buy that the Eagles think he's done because he's clearly not. I just think they feel they can get similar production from Kolb, save $11 mil on McNabb and get some top, but not too costly draft picks. They were going to lose him to the top payer in the offseason anyways, probably the Skins who overpay for free-agents.
  10. Wrong. Let's say we get QB, NT and LT in the first 3 rounds - do we instantly become a superbowl contender? No - we will still finish 3-4 place in the division. Look what happens when we draft for need versus talent (ex. Maybin, Whitner, Lynch, Losman, McCargo, Williams). Take the best player because we aren't even close.
  11. Sounds about right. Its easy to see why he doesn't want to be here. He sits behind a 30 year old former D3/Arena player. He's not allowed in most of the bars/clubs on Chippewa st., the cops are keeping a close eye on him. Its like the Jason Peters situation but nobody wants him. Were both screwed.
  12. You guys must have a short memory... you can give Trent the great wall of china and he would still check down and miss wide open receivers. Yeah, okay on the injuries, I'll give that a pass, but Trent sucks. He hasn't won since high school. Stop making excuses for him.
  13. Agreed. He must not have watched any game tape of himself if that's what he came up with. I want him to say he grew a pair of balls in the offseason and will now throw downfield even if it means taking a hit. He pretty much said the opposite saying he needs to work on not getting injured. IMO he can work on not getting while sitting on the bench.
  14. Will they take the 3rd or 4th best OT over the 1st LB, RB, WR or DE?
  15. Nevergiveup, You mentioned leaning toward OT in round 1. Does that mean they are more or less looking to fill positons which there are holes or are they going to take the best player on their board regardless of positon? If its by position do you know what other positions they might be targeting in their first few picks?
  16. Haha. I'm not so sure... even the monkey with darts, blindfolded, would have outpicked the war room in the last decade. That may be a good strategy going forward.
  17. I don't blame him. We have 1 WR and a bad line. He would be toast.
  18. If we can get him for some sort of 3rd round + package deal, then yes, because we're going to blow that pick anyway. He will actually be able to get the ball to Lee Evans down field which will at least make the team exciting for a change. As far as the team on the field, it won't make us an instant winner, but it will fill the seats. I can't imagine what the fan reaction would be if we march Trent or Fitz out there again and blow for another season. The only way we stay in Buffalo is the fans.
  19. Go work for the Bills. Somehow, I doubt they employ any techniques as sophisticated as that.
  20. Agreed that because it is the Buffalo Bills organization it is a long run process. If you are talking about 3 years from now, none of our current signings will contribute to that plan. Dolphins went from a 1-15 team to a 11-5 playoff team the next season. It is possible... When you have an owner that will spend and a GM that will shake things up you can go from a bottom feeder to a contender.
  21. See - Randy Moss. Good teams don't fall asleep at the wheel when an opportunity presents itself.
  22. I can't believe you are actually making me do this... EVANS Year Team G Rec Yds Y/G 100 Yd TD 2004 BUF 16 48 843 52.7 2 9 2005 BUF 16 49 743 46.4 2 7 2006 BUF 16 82 1290 80.6 3 8 2007 BUF 16 55 849 53.1 2 5 2008 BUF 16 63 1017 63.6 4 3 2009 BUF 15 40 563 37.5 0 6 BOLDIN Year Team G Rec Yds Y/G 100 Yd TD 2003 ARZ 16 101 1377 86.1 5 8 2004 ARZ 10 56 623 62.3 2 1 2005 ARZ 14 102 1398 99.9 8 7 2006 ARZ 16 83 1203 75.2 4 4 2007 ARZ 12 71 853 71.1 2 9 2008 ARZ 12 89 1038 86.5 3 11 2009 ARZ 14 81 986 70.4 3 4 Boldin kills Evans in Rec., Yards, Yards/GM, 100 Yrd games. The only argument could possibly be for Evans with TDs, but even that isn't a good argument. Evans averages 6.33 TD/season = Boldin is 6.29 TD/Season. The stats do not lie.
