  1. Orakpo is listed at 263, Ayers at 270, both at 6'3"...?
  2. Copyright violation???????? Stuckincincy is asleep at the switch. Maybe he'll be back when Matlock is over.
  3. Yeah, thanks Cincy. Great job here. You really saved the day. Are you fighting crime on other message boards, or just this one? You try and bring a little joy into people's lives, and this is what you get. Santa must be suicidal.
  4. It's not an issue of symantics if the bonuses have already been paid and allocated. The article puts his salary at $1.5M for '08. I have found no data on the internet (and not for lack of trying) that contradicts this.
  5. Nice mock. Thanks for all the hard work. I don't want Ayers at #11 whatsoever, but I recognize it as a distinct possibility. Is Beatty worth the #28 pick? Is he a "cheese and wine" LT like someone suggested? For the record, if we pass on Orakpo at #11 I will be livid. From what I've seen, he seems like the top 4-3 DE out there. For the life of me I can't figure out why so many porognosticators keep trying to put him at 3-4 OLB. It doesn't seem to suit him at all.
  6. You have no idea. However, I merely asked why this thread was started when these quite recent threads existed: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=87437 http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...=87368&st=0 http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=86959 http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...p;#entry1392523
  7. Is he a distraction about it? No? Then you keep him. If nothing else he significantly reduces the chances of McKelvin and McGee from getting injured in the return game. If he's becoming a distraction about it then maybe you do have to ship him out, providing you get the right offer for him. But he makes a pretty decent salary considering his lack of offensive production. It's not like the Bills are asking him to take a pay cut. Go out there and do what you're asked. There is no other sport in the world more "team-oriented" than football, so do what's best for the team and earn your paycheck.
  8. To give all you ingrates information you didn't have access to. Now answer the question. Wasn't this exact thread started - and finished - three days ago or so??
  9. Why is this thread started every few days???
  10. Can everyone settle down please? Did you miss this? Sheesh...
  11. Yeah, I jumped the gun. The thought of drafting a surefire potential bust like Andre Smith (or even Oher) at #11 just worries me though. That wasn't the part that didn't make any sense, it was the part about taking OT at #11...
  12. "Take Buffalo for example. Most people expected them to take a pass rusher with the 11th overall pick to aid Aaron Schobel and allow the Bills to get pressure on the thinking man's quarterbacks that reside in the AFC East like Tom Brady and Chad Pennington. The Bills' controversial trade of Peters, which I will delve into in-depth below, now more than likely puts the onus on the Bills to select a tackle with the first of their first-round picks if either Alabama tackle Andre Smith or Mississippi tackle Michael Oher are still on the board even though they are high on last year's sleeper seventh-rounder, Demetrius Bell." I don't get the logic here. Just because LT is a top need doesn't mean you go top pick with it. Had we used that logic we would have taken Devin Thomas at #11 last year. What a disaster that would have been. But thanks for the article.
  13. Why? Because you recognize his name? His best season he caught 41 passes for 367 yards and 2 TD's. I can't imagine that kind of talent can't be re-produced. Agree there. Although I can see Kelsay "re-structuring" his contract, AKA taking a pay cut. He just seems like that kind of guy. And I don't think he wants to test the tepid waters of free agency. I don't think Simpson will be cut, but I could be wrong. His contract is so small he'll be a more than serviceable backup when called upon. Great point, Malta. It should be noted that the two connected for 52 catches and 706 yards, incl. 3 TD's together in '04.
  14. From a pure ranking perspective that would fit the 4-3 scheme we run, IMO: Orakpo Brown Sidbury Ayers Jackson Barwin English Johnson Maybin
  15. Per ESPN: Roscoe Parrish, WR, Buffalo: Bills officials and Parrish's agent began advertising a few weeks ago that the four-year veteran is available. Parrish, 26, has been all but buried on the Bills' wide receiver depth chart, but the second-round pick in 2005 has speed and quickness as a receiver, and elusiveness as a kick returner. He has 97 receptions for 1,052 yards and five touchdowns, but 35 of those catches came two years ago. Formerly of the University of Miami, he has averaged 23.7 yards on 18 kickoff returns and an impressive 14.0 yards on 94 punt returns. As a punt returner, he averaged 13.3 yards or more in three of his four seasons, and has one return for a touchdown in each of the past three years. Some unsubstantiated rumors have linked him to the Pittsburgh Steelers. His contract might be palatable enough, with base salaries of $1 million (2009), $1.025 million (2010) and $1.025 million (2011), with $500,000 roster bonuses due each year. My apologies to anybody who is offended by potential copyright infringement. All opinions setforth are those of Len Pasquarelli and do not necessarily reflect those of ESPN or Leonidas.McKelvin. Recreation or misrepresentation without the express written consent of Major League Baseball is strictly prohibited. Magox - I like you bud, but you got some 'splainin to do. So does everyone else who claimed he made in excess of $3M/year when evidence to the contrary was repeatedly presented. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...=86720&st=0
  16. I thought about this before, but I've *got* to think that one of our young guys would do a better job at picking up the slack than a debilitated Jonas Jennings. He's not a QB. He can't rely on intelligence and veteran savvy to survive a game here and there like Vinny Testaverde. I'll take my chances and see if Demetrius Bell has managed double-digit reps on the bench before bringing this guy in to fail his physical.
  17. Copyright violation.
  18. Ugh...you're right. But in the 6th round, if he flunks, nobody cares. But you are correct on that one. I wouldn't be surprised at a Drew Willy as a 7th rounder/UDFA instead though. It's not theft if it's cited. I didn't mis-represent the piece as my own. Get off your soapbox old dude. I took it down because I didn't want the entire post to be removed. I wanted people here, fellow Bills fans, to see what McShay thought about the Bills potential draft picks, and figured it would be more important to see that than to risk it getting taken down when nobody seemed to care about any of the other team\\\'s potential choices. I did not, however, take it down because of this feeling that I'm somehow wronged Todd McShay. If anything, it was an hommage to what he does. Again, get off your soapbox. Relax old man. I was merely trying to make a humorous historical reference. Sorry if I had to look up the name of the betraying shepherd at Thermopylae. I almost called him Themistocles but I knew that was wrong. We can't all be history scholars. Thanks for the advice though, Dad.
  19. If he had done something, ANYTHING, to make contact last offseason I would agree. But he literally took the worst approach possible. He should have skipped voluntary workouts, showed up for the preseason, started off strong and negotiated during the season like Evans did. He'd be a Bill right now and we wouldn't have to be looking for a new LT. He'd be only making $8-9M/year or so, but he wouldn't be the most hated Bill since McGahee and he wouldn't have had such a horrible year. But I agree, I don't like the person any more. I was ticked at the player, but from what I've heard since, I'm not sad to see him go at all. It's totally bitter of me, but I hope he crumbles. I hope Stacy Andrews makes this into a huge deal and I hope Sheldon Brown makes the Philly FO miserable like Lito Sheppard did. Hell, while I'm at it, I have a few other things to wish for...
  20. Did you just quote me without my express written permission???
  21. At 28, not 26 (in the short career of a PR, that's light-years difference). And KC's return game has been non-existant since. Actually, the entire team has been non-existant. I hope it doesn't happen. When we draft some long-snapper with that fifth pick you will all have gotten your wish. And for the last time, please look at the bonus structure of his contract. He makes somewhere between $1.5M-2.1M/year in salary. The bonuses and guarantees are sunk costs and irrevelant to the discussion. In no way does he make over $3M/year.
  22. Good thing. I was planning my escape to Canada as we speak...
  23. I'm not the moderator. If a moderator takes it down then so be it. I just deleted all the non-Buffalo stuff. If THAT'S a copyright violation then all your people are going to jail. Because so few people subscribe to the ESPN Insider. So the links won't have Don't worry, it won't happen again. The responses here have been...unbelievable. Next time let me sit here and answer any questions I can. I've really got nothing better to do. I guess this is a violation to: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...p;#entry1396301
  24. MJ is gonna bust. I wouldn't even take him at 43 (although we draft at 42). Maybe in the third because he has crazy talent, but I don't like him.
  25. Watch out, stuckincincy will have you prosecuted for this!!!
