  1. preseason is a key word here. Below is a list of top performers from 2017 preseason based on QB rating. Jacoby BrissettJ. 2. Peterman is cerebral and is a weak Tom Brady? Wow. Talk about awful takes on QBs. A cerebral QB does not chuck the ball to an area where he has no business throwing it to. Peterman does a lot of this . So that seems to disqualify immediately Peterman from the cerebral conversation.
  3. What is the probability of Peterman being another Jeff Tuel vs being another Tom Brady ? Just going by odds of a 5th round QB being a productive starter(and not considering preseason stats ) , it seems foolish to think Peterman will perform any better than how he did last season in actual games--especially now that the OL is much worse.
  4. Why would Allen necessarily follow as a starter when we have Peterman around? I've seen him being compared to Brady and Romo already in some other threads ;-)
  5. Spot for extra QB since our OL will allow record number of QB hits and sacks?
  6. Will any team let him out from behind the gate?
  7. Turnstiles at least slow people down. Ducasse couldnt even do that for some plays its seemed.
  8. Well, this is the same board where we had folks clamoring for Tuel to get a shot at starting since he was killing it in the preseason. There was also another preseason QB competition from a few years back where posters thought it was extremely unfair EJ didn't get the starting nod after chucking a few bombs against guys who would never see an NFL roster.
  9. I thought EJ was the best no 2 in NFL. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000950939/article/jon-gruden-unsure-if-raiders-have-backup-qb-on-roster
  10. Imagine how good the Bills would have done if Kiko was still here.
  11. Can consistently post 24/32 ? Let’s stop all the competition then . I ll take that QB every day.
  12. Am pretty sure Tyrod was good on 1 and 3 . So your premise is already wrong ?
  13. I sure hope you are joking . How many QBs out there average 70% or more on completions ? Maybe Brees did it one season?
  14. Wasn't he saying that he was going to smash any willing fan through a table?
  15. So basically NFL should put an asterisk on Peterman's record setting first half against the Chargers. Think about how absurd that notion is
  16. No one is taking away his MVP trophy . The point is that its a flash in the pan and even much maligned Tyrod looks better. Or should we poke fun at your boy Cam ? Time to start another Cam excuse thread for 2018 =)
  17. Considering that Connor Cook and EJ aren't exactly tearing it up , Peterman may be an attractive insurance option for Gruden.
  18. Does it point to Fools gold?
  19. Tyrod? From what little I saw he still played a lot better than Foles .
  20. A lot of people here still trashing Tyrod. But what about the guy Foles that lots of folks said we should sell the farm for before the draft?
  21. Should be interesting to see how well the Seahawks do this year after all that turnover. Maybe we can offer up Peterman the Great to them for a 2nd?
  22. I am hoping that Allen shows enough during the Bengals game to merit being the starter. But was also thinking that how fun it would be to keep this thread alive :p Nothing better than having die hard supporters come out with dissertations on why we should root for mediocre QBs. Brings back memories of the days there were lots of back and forth on the merits of illustrious alunmni or camp fodder like JP, EJ, VY, TJ, etc.
  23. This is awesome. Can some of the medical folks here chime in on this golden nugget of wisdom?
  24. I did read here that Peterman has a phenomenal 85% percent completion rate in preseason and that his velocity is much improved.. Maybe the coaches are waiting for the regular season to unleash his sideline throw package?
