  1. Given that the source of this opinion , I think we can all conclude Johnny Manziel will make the Browns the laughingstock of the NFL
  2. Yes . But RGIII and Kap have been crappy outside of read option .
  3. Why would anyone want to install a read option offense in the NFL?
  4. How did Sanchez look against the Seahawks the past week? Didn't get to watch the game but stat line doesn't look good. 10 for 20 for a 50% completion rate. 4.8 ypa. 76.2 rating
  5. NFL draft is not the same as NHL draft. Unlike the NHL draft, you can expect to get quality ready to start players through several rounds in NFL. So you shouldnt be wasting high picks just for the sake of hitting the jackpot.
  6. I'm not surprised that you managed to get in a Tebow reference . You do realize that there was nothing special about what Tebow did against the Steelers? Le beau chose to stack the box pretty much all game because Tebow was not a passing threat .
  7. The play looked like it was being run in slow motion . Surprised that no db caught up with him on that play .
  8. Bears were 11-5 and went to the playoffs during Orton's rookie season.
  9. College accuracy does not translate to NFL when you aren't running a pro offense. Tim Tebow averaged over 66% completions during his college career. Thats because he ran a spread and was throwing only to wide open receivers. In the NFL, Tebow averaged an eye poping 47.9% during his 3 year career. So there should not really be a surprise that Griffin is doing poorly when he is being asked to operate in something different from his Baylor kiddie offense.
  10. What year was Maybin drafted ?
  11. I remember seeing Mike Williams run for that touchdown during the Detroit game and thinking that he looked awfully slow .
  12. Brees , Brady, and P. Manning are better QBs than Luck at this point based on their performance over past 3 seasons (try QB rating as an objective criteria). Seems like an arbitrary ranking to put Luck up there.
  13. Nah. Can't have two projects on the team. Bills would need to jettison EJ
  14. Which team would be willing to make deal for RGIII? Jets , Bills, Houston?
  15. Brady Quinn looks best when he is not throwing the football.
  16. Elite physical talent does not necessarily translate to long term success. See Vince Young and Jamarcus . QBs need to be able to read defenses and operate in pocket . RGIII and Kap have not been able to do that and hence they look like dumpster fires .
  17. Sure. We can just invoke Jimmy Spag's theory of transvestitivity to make this conclusion.
  18. Didn't you essentially say the same thing about RGIII last year? He certainly bounced back this year.
  19. Then based on your statements Eli did not win those Superbowls. It was a combination of good defense that limited Brady and his receivers along with some timely / lucky throws to receivers who are already out of league or on their way out. Its just like saying Trent Dilfer won Superbowls.
  20. Are we playing on the moon this Sunday?
  21. So if Eli won those Superbowls all by himself, why have the Giants been so awful the past few seasons? Or is it because the team around the QB counts as well?
  22. Perhaps both. But mainly highlights right now. Didn't everyone love Manziel doing the "money " gesture after scoring? Or how about how he flopped in end zone after fumbling and being bowled over by Kyle?
  23. Manziel is a BB favored QB and was available to us during last years draft. Imagine the highlight reels we would have.
  24. It's nice to be a troll
  25. Couple of things. The moment any post mentions a BB favored QB, it pretty much implies it's tongue I'm cheek ;-) Secondly, its amazing how negative the reaction to Kaepernick is now when just two season ago everyone was saying how amazing he was and how Buddy messed up not drafting him. Just goes to show how fickle folks can be. It's more about what is the coolest new shiny toy rather than evaluating actual talent and longevity. Lastly, quite a few folks kept talking about how the Mario signing was a supreme waste of money. For instance, I still remember the arguments about how if the Bills had drafted Jason Pierre Paul instead then no need to spend all that money . Now compare the performance of Mario and JPP the past few seasons and we can see what the equivalence is. Even adjusting for JPPs injury issues, it's not even close. Mario over JPP all day.
