  1. Aaron Schoebel $8.6 mil

    Chris Kelsay $5.6 mil

    Ryan Denney $3.2 mil

    TOTAL $17.4 mil

Julius Peppers $ 16.7 mil franchise tag.

Give julius the same 7yr $100 mil deal Wash gave Haynesworth..... the way that contract was structured Albert will only see the first 4 years for $48 mil total.

  2. Marcus Stroud is a stud....commands double teams.

    Kyle Williams is average.....high motor.

Spencer Johnson is average.....better than most folks think.

John McCargo is a bust.....easily blocked by one guy.....turns his back often.....will NOT be on our roster by end of year.

YES WE ARE THIN AT DT......must add a player this year....is my top priority for next years draft.

  3. Bruce Smith was much lighter than his listed weight.....he had like 4% body fat......i remember seeing him in training camp at fredonia next to other players like Teddy Washington and Pat Williams.....he looked over a hundred pounds lighter than those guys.

As far as maybin goes.....he will be able to get to whatever weight the Bills want him to play at.......as far as comparing him to Bruce for talent.....probably won't get close....but one can hope.

  4. BULLCRAP !!....there is deception/spin going on by Mr Andy Roth. I know what i heard. First of all, the " Mike is from Grand Island" comment was NOT discussed during that segement and is NOT an issue for me. Secondly, the comment

"Mike has said that he is no longer a big Bills fan because he has felt the team let him down and he doesn't feel Erie County should be paying for the stadium" is a smoke screen. Now, he may have said those things "on air" on many occassions and he may genuinly feel that way, but again, NEITHER OF THOSE THOUGHTS WERE SAID DURING THE SEGMENT I WAS LISTENING TO. I'm talking about the first half hour on Mondays show, between 3:00 - 3:30pm. He CLEARLY made the following points. Now, they may not be verbatum, but they are damn close.

#1- "he could care less about the Bills"

#2- "he could care less if they win or lose"

#3- "this was just a job for him and he is paid to talk about them"

  5. is it too early for a draft contest ???.....lol....let the games begin.

ok, first problem with this draft board....has the same order as this year.....i hate to say it, but don't be surprised if we are picking a lil higher (top ten). i think another 7-9 season is iffy.......strength of schedule is so difficult this year......5-11 is a real possibilty.

as for next years needs...DEFENSIVE LINE all the way.....another DT and another DE.....then LB.

  6. the guy is a total as-hole. i formerly was a 24/7 listener to WGR. however because of this guy and his moron side kick i subscribed to Sirius.

one thing, do any of you computer junkies know how to e/mail this to the program director @ WGR I'm sure he would love to see it. secondly let him read this post and see how people in this town feel about this arrogant effeminate as-hole !

    done.

  7. Bills fans are so sensitive.....lol......relax, most pundits have actually given the Bills high marks on the draft.... only time will tell. I expect all of our first five picks to be starters by their second year and major contributors in their first year. This guys "C" rating is silly, WOOD is considered the BEST center and Levitre is considered the BEST guard in the entire draft. For me, the entire grade hinges on MAYBIN, he would NOT have been my pick ( i liked OHER or PETTIGREW, or a trade down) but, like most fans, i hope it works out. The Front Office is turning the roster up side down, between this draft and free agents, it's going to look very different out there. i for one see vast improvements, however our strength of schedule went from the easiest last year to one of the most difficult this year. which translate to me as another 7-9 season plus or minus 3....lol....GO BILLS !!

  8. in the interest of fairness, here is the reply from the Program Director to my email to WGR, complaining about Schopp. Wish i could listen to the exact broadcast again, because i definitely got a different impression. Oh well, no biggie, i still will not become a regular listener to that show again, while Schopp is on. i'm at about 10 minutes once every two or three weeks.

"John – I was listening to the same part of the show and he did not say that and was misquoted on a message board as well. He said that it HAS become a job because he feels the Bills have let him down. Trust me, Mike loves his job here and would rather do nothing else. It’s why he has a Saturday morning show specifically dedicated to collecting cards and sports memorabilia."

  9. The guy lived here all his life. There is absolutely know way he said anything like "I moved here, this is just a job." There is no doubt that football is not his favorite subject and he sometimes doesn't like to talk about but lets either listen better or stop making stuff up.

obviously you didn't listen to the show today.....i don't remember him saying anything like "i moved here"........but he did say "this is just a job for him and he could care less if the Bills win or lose".

  10. Schopp then said something along the lines of, "I could care less what happens on Sundays or how the Bills do, I moved here, this is just a job. The only reason I follow them is because it is my job to talk about them."

I happened to listen to WGR today, it was about 3:10pm, he ABSOLUTELY said something exactly to that effect. i think they have an audio vault, maybe it is still on there.

i hardly ever listen to WGR anymore. it is because i dislike Schopp. i do not like the way he interacts with callers. i tuned in today just to get the drift of peoples thoughts on the draft. within 10 minutes i realized why i hardly tune in.

  11. it's just a part of their schtick....... geek vs jock......the geek is a Jets fan....the jock is a Notre Dame alum/fan. the geek is all excited because his team "fleeced" the browns with that trade. they move all the way up to 5th by swapping first round picks, paying an additional 2nd round and throwing in some backups that Mangini likes. If Sanchez stays in school, he's in the running as the first overall pick next year. i think it's a brilliant move by the jets.

  12. i'd give this draft a "B" rating......it all hinges on MAYBINS success if it gets to an "A". Personally, i would have either traded down or picked PETTIGREW or OHER with the 11th. I would pencil in WOODS as a starting center, this is a great pick, move hangartner to LG. BYRD at #42 was a reach, but hopefully he replaces Ko Simpson. i love the trade with DAL to pick Andy Levitre. The bills totally lucked out getting TE Shawn Nelson at #114, he was ranked around 55 (late 2nd round)on most boards. All those db's picked later tells me the Bills think they are losing McGee next year(will want to much money). If your a Maybin fan (like Todd McShay) then you think the Bills hit it out of the park, grade "A". If your mixed on Maybin then it's a wait & see "B". If you think Chambers & Bell are not up to snuff then you would have to give this draft a "C" because they did NOT address a glaring need at Left Tackle. Again, i'm in the "B" group.

  13. GREAT VALUE PICK on TE Shawn Nelson......he was rated a late 2nd round pick in two seperate rating services.

    Nelson is 6' 5'' and 240lbs...ran the 40 in 4.56 (ingram 6' 4" 245 lbs 4.68).

    Strenths- hands, speed

Weakness- blocking.....will need to bulk up.

  14. #11- AARON MAYBIN....addressed an area of need....high risk.. not thrilled with this pick..... wanted Pettigrew or Oher.

#28- ERIC WOOD.... i love this pick....tough, physical, aggressive.

#42- JAIRUS BYRD.......bit of a reach.....will replace Ko Simpson at Safety....thats a plus. (Barwin & E. Brown on board)does NOT compare with Roscoe Parrish in Return game.

#51- ANDY LEVITRE....i love this pick....great trade with Dallas to move up..... very strong, powerful & nasty.

two #1's and two #2's make this a STRONG draft. IF Maybin pans out it's an "A".....right now i'd give a "B".

i don't see a quality Tight End avail in 4th......look for the Bill's to make a trade......maybe Denvers Scheffler.
