  1. i think the Bill's will stay in WNY as long as we continue to Sell Out all Home games. I think bringing Toronto into our Market share strengthens the franchise considerably and secures the team name starts with BUFFALO. i see sharing the home games with Toronto 1 of 8 in first five years. the next agreement will be 2 of 9 home games for 10 years and then 3 of 9 for a 20 year deal. that should get me thru my lifetime...

  2. just to clarify....$4 million is Jason Peters Cap number.......$8.9 million is the franchised tag value for Left Tackles like Jordan Gross. Peters does NOT deserve more than Gross......which is why i feel $8 million is a good offer. Players take less money ALL the time, like Randy Moss, Adalius Thomas, Tom Brady etc.... teams like the Redskins and Raiders pay top money and look where they wind up.....teams like New England, NY Giants and Pittsburgh do NOT over pay and see lots of their players go to other teams, yet are very succesful.

  3. playing devil's advocate.....why is it ok for the team to cut a player that is not playing up to the value/worth of his contract.....but most think a player should play under his existing contract?......having said that, i still think the bills hold all the cards, peters has two years left on his current contract plus however many they choose to franchise tag him. the going rate for an all pro LT is $12 million, they already offered him $8 million (which is absolutely the right number), he currently makes $4 million, so if he holds out and only plays half the season, the bills are still getting their money's worth. Obviously he is underpaid, i do believe he is all pro talent in his prime (excluding last year's hold out), they should attempt to re-do his deal, which they are, but don't over pay. play hardball and let him sit home. All pro left tackles are just to valuable to just give away. nobody is irreplaceable, but i would need two #1 draft choices to get equal value....one #1 is just not enough.

  4. #1- can anyone show PROOF/SOURCE that Tony Gonzalez actually nixed a trade to Buffalo? (it's all rumors).

#2- Tony wants OUT of KC, his peeps keep leaking that. Tony has not come out and requested a trade because he prefers to put the blame on the club for his leaving that community.

#3- The bills were the high bidder last year, i would assume they are still just as interested.

#4- i would trade a #2 or #3 draft pick ANY DAY OF THE WEEK for a proven All Pro player at any position who has a reasonable cap hit/salary.

#5- i wouldn't rule out the possibilty he comes here, chances are low, but alot higher than the chances of us getting T.O. were a month ago.

#6- we need a starting tight end of at least a 1st or 2nd round quality.

#7- Gonzo may not be the absolute best scenario, but it is an excellant one.

  5. Pettigrew STARTS immediately, he improves BOTH the passing and RUNNING game, he is by far the most complete tight end in the draft......Mel Kiper ranks him 10th overall in talent......any DE drafted is a backup...... plus we would pick up the Jets second round pick (value 370) for moving from 11th (1250) to 17th(950). i would do this deal.

  6. let him sit home and rot. the Bill's can tie him up for three more years...two on the existing contract and one year of franchise tag. He currently counts $4 million against the cap. Last year he played his cards wrong, held out, got out of shape, reported late, gave up more sacks than any other Left Tackle in the league and then laughably got a Pro Bowl berth. If i was the bills i would NOT trade him (unless i got two number 1 draft choices, one number one is not enough) and i would NOT cave into his ridiculous contract demands. two can play his hardball game.

  7. i am a season ticket holder. while the thought of sharing regular season games with Toronto is very distasteful. i recognize the fact the it is absolutely essential, to bring the 3 plus million people into our market to transform us into a medium to large market club. Without Toronto, there will be no Buffalo Bills in our long term future. SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING. The current five year deal will NOT be altered, but going forward, it is possible that we will see a second regular season game go north. Posession is nine tenths of the law. We as fans, MUST continue to sell out every home game, this is our insurance policy that our franchise will not be moved. When the sellouts stop, the franchise will move.

  8. McCargo is a total bust. I watch the defensive tackles at the game. He has back problems because he turns his back to the blocker often. He gets very little push, no penetration, is easily handled one on one and is never double teamed. The bill's already tipped their hand trying to trade him, he will not be on next years roster. Stroud on the other hand is a beast, he was constantly doubled and still got push. Williams and Johnson are so-so adequate. I hope B.J. Raji falls to the Bills at #11 although he is shooting up most draft boards and will probably be gone.

  9. the bills biggest weakness by far is running the ball on third and one or fourth and one. until they fix that, we are going nowhere. the three weakest players on offense in order are #1- TE Robert Royal, #2 - WR James Hardy and #3 the center combo of Preston/Fowler (i would fix center and tight end first). the three weakest players on defense are #1 - Safety Ko Simpson, #2- LB Keith Ellison and #3 the Defensive Ends ( i would upgrade the D-line and then a blitzing linebacker first). The Bills have so many needs that unless they get aggressive in free agency, they won't be able to fill them all in the draft. Ignoring needs and building a championship team, in general i would always use my #1 picks on lineman, especially Defensive lineman (like New England and the Giants do) we have been drafting finesse players for too long. If the draft falls the way Mel Kiper predicts, then the best defensive lineman will still be there when we pick at #11. I would pick B.J.Raji over Orakpo. Stroud is a stud but aging, McCargo will be cut and the other two tackles are just average. I would then take my #2 & #3 picks and move up into the first round and grab Center Alex Mack before Pittsburgh does. The rest will have to be free agents. It wouldn't surprise me to see them cut Schobel and his 8.7 million cap figure. I would not trade Jason Peters and i would not pay him a kings ransom, the bills hold all the cards, i would bump his salary some or let em hold out with his current deal.
