  1. "Leverage," Parker continued, "depends not about what you have, but what you're willing to do."
  2. Parker's players who are about to become UFA in their prime NEVER sign early.
  3. rest assured most of Goldson's guanateed money will be paid in the first two years. all of it by year 3 so that after year 3 they could cut him without any "dead money". 3/13/2013: Signed a five-year, $41.25 million contract. The deal contains $22 million guaranteed, including a first-year roster bonus of $4.5 million, Goldson's first- and second-year salaries, and a fully guaranteed 2014 roster bonus of $3 million. 2014: $6 million (+ $3 million roster bonus), 2015-2016: $7.5 million (+ $500,000 workout bonus), 2017: $6.75 million (+ $500,000 workout bonus), 2018: Free Agent http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4444/dashon-goldson http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/tampa-bay-buccaneers/dashon-goldson/
  4. Avis - We're No. 2, so we try harder. Volkswagon - Think small
  5. I agree with ya....I have always maintained the minimum would be $9 mil/yr for 5 years with $27 mil guaranteed (basically the bills could get out after 3 years).
  6. I heard he was simply prescribed bed rest after having lay sick surgery.
  7. based on that...average of the Top 5 is $8.37 mil
  8. we are NOT making the playoffs with or without Byrd..........until they get a Franchise QB.
  9. here's a BIG question.....if he doesn't sign his Franchise Tag Tender BEFORE July 15th......can they trade an unsigned player ?
  10. i'm not a Byrd fan.....but one way this helped him is the following: i'll start by asking a question. in 6 or 7 years from now...will anyone pay Byrd $7 mil/yr ?.....I think unlikely. so, by delaying the start of his inevitable big contract....he added a year or maybe two at $6.9 & $8.3 before getting his big deal.
  11. his waiting til he was 100% healthy HAD EVERYTHING TO DO WITH HIS CONTRACT DISSATISFACTION !!!!
  12. in the end, Parker and Byrd are going to win (he will be the highest paid safety in football). the bills will only prolong the agony (tag him again). at this point, the bills need to tag and trade. I would not invest $9-10 mil/yr in him. bad feet, bad hip, bad back.
  13. the lease with the county is crystal clear......without the county's approval, a maximum of ONE (1) home game per year may be played in Toronto. all other home game will be played at the Ralph. in addition to that Toronto game, ONE (1) home game during the entirety of the ten year period may be played internationally (other than Toronto).
  14. that can NOT happen under the terms of the lease agreement the bills just signed with Erie County.
  15. he will just smile and they will photoshop his teeth for skittles....new grills
  16. he might be making it worse for himself.... kinda like a person who avoids being photographed. the harder it is to get the more valuable a photo becomes. then more paparazzi try to get one.
  17. Good Moves: McGee, Brad Smith, Mark Anderson, Colin Brown, Choice, Troup, Sheppard Ques Moves: Fitz ($13 mil dead money), Lindell (worked out though), DaRick Rogers Bad moves: Levitre
  18. Marshawn Lynch: 'I'm just here so I won't get fined' http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000319691/article/marshawn-lynch-im-just-here-so-i-wont-get-fined
  19. Drew Brees: Jimmy Graham a tight end, not a receiver. According to Pro Football Focus, Graham run-blocked on just 33 percent of his snaps http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000319666/article/drew-brees-jimmy-graham-a-tight-end-not-a-receiver
  20. only 1 Buffalo Bill made the list: DT Kyle Williams, Buffalo Bills A three-time Pro Bowler, Williams—not to be confused with Chiefs’ receiver Kyle Williams—had another stellar year in Buffalo. He finished the season with a career-high 10-1/2 sacks to go along with 17 quarterback hits and 39 quarterback hurries. In short, he was a terror. http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2014-01-26/all-pro-team-2013-manning-sherman-kuechly-mccoy-quinn/slide/1 interesting that 4 Cleveland Browns made the list for Pettine's new team.
  21. YES, money would have been better spent on Byrd instead of Anderson. NO, on the value question. (and this is the Parker strategy than makes Byrd a Tyrd. YES, the bills should stick to their guns and offer what they think he deserves, irregardless if Tyrd waits again until 100% healthy and thereby putting the bills in a position to get less value. Byrd should say, HELL NO i'm not happy about not signing a long term deal. but $6.9 and $8.3 mil is a heck of a lot of money and i'm going to go out and earn it.
  22. Byrd has earned the right to "ask" for #1 money for all kind of reasons. having said that he is NOT the best safety in the league and in my opinion not even Top 5 (for $9-10 million I would rather have Earl Thomas, Eric Berry, TJ Ward, Devin McCourty , a host of names for half that and a whole bunch of cornerbacks I could convert to free safety). Byrd is probably the slowest free safety in the entire league. he has bad feet and a degenerative hip injury. I saw Nigel Bradham pass byrd while both were chasing down the TB rb on that 80 yard scamper. as far as these one year franchise tags. again in my opinion , Parker is seeking a $9 mil/5 yr , $45 mil deal with $27 mil(3 years) Guaranteed. assuming that is true, the $15 mil in two years is less than $18 mil he would have earned if signed early last year. I think BOTH sides played their positions properly in this whole mess. and I think they are both going to do the exact same thing this year.
  23. absolutely......you just may not like what we get back.
  24. LA will eventually get a team. that is a virtual certainty. Forbes says the Bills are valued at $870 million. the bills in L.A. would DOUBLE that value to $1.7 BILLION. that $400 million penalty for the bills to leave is just a speed bump.
