  1. NO.....to me, with the amount of player turnover, this 2014 team is completely different than the 2011 team.
  2. season ticket holders get NFL Rewind for FREE.
  3. get NFL Rewind. it only takes 30 minutes to watch each game. watch one or watch em all.
  4. #1- a thread that talks about the single most important position on the team is far from stupid. #2- I don't remember anyone calling EJ a bust....I certainly have not. #3- the debate seems to center on whether EJ will ever be better than mediocre and even rise to Franchise QB level. #4- some folks would be satisfied if he would just be a game manager and not mess up, while others would like to see him go out and win a game with his own individual outstanding play. #5- most folks acknowledge he hasn't had a long enough body of work , while others (myself included) have seen enough to wonder if his upside comes through. #6- isn't part of the fun being a fan, playing Monday morning GM, critique the players and match your talent evaluating skills vs the so called experts. god forbid you call someone just average. #7- 90% of the fans calling EJ mediocre would love nothing more than to watch EJ become a pro bowl player.
  5. Top 10 QB's for 2014 season only. #1- P. Manning #2- A. Rodgers #3- D. Brees #4- P. Rivers #5- T. Brady #6- A. Luck #7- R. Wilson #8- J. Cutler #9- C. Newton #10- M. Stafford
  6. there are two easily checked ratings for QB's. "passer rating" and "total QBR". last year EJ was NOT in the top 25 for either. id say the average of the two would suffice for a fair rating. Top 10 = Franchise QB Top 11-15 = above average, probably gets you into playoffs. Top 16- 20 = good, give more time if has upside. over 20 = not good enough, keep looking. EJ is not even close to being considered a failure. unfortunately for bills fans , he is being rushed into action because of past management neglect of the QB position. trading down to pick up EJ & kiko was a good deal. I would do it again. I just see EJ as barely top 20 talent. hope he proves me wrong.
  7. just to set the record straight.......I have repeatedly stated that EJ will NEVER be a FRANCHISE QB (Top 10). and that his "upside" will be just inside Top 20. I'm not backpedaling.
  8. the Bills are playing winning football because of exceptional defense and special teams. the offense is playing mediocre as mostly evidenced by their play in the redzone. EJ is still the weakest link on this team. time will tell.
  9. I see a QB who threw 7 passes all game that traveled in the air more than 10 yards from the line of scrimmage. he completed 3 (one was when Sammy was wide open, another was the reversed call with chandler). I see more poorly thrown balls than balls right on the money. he's been lucky he hasn't been intercepted more. i'd say the coaches are protecting him from himself by limiting the more difficult deep throws. having said that, he has played slightly better than mediocre in the first 2 games, which is a very positive sign.
  10. currently EJ is ranked #13 in passer rating #17 in total QBR PRO: if he can continue those stats we make the playoffs. CON: I still see a QB who will settle in about #20 in both rankings.
  11. check your pulse if your not already excited. let it ride. keep basking in the euphoria.
  12. whats most impressive about Sammy. #1- the way he snatches balls out of the air using his hands only. #2- a willing blocker on run plays. #3- toughing out what must be a very painful rib injury. also, it looked to me like Sammy threw the ball at the pylon. the ball was NOT in his hand when it made contact with the pylon. fortunately it was ruled a TD on the field. not conclusive to overturn.
  13. there were no cheerleaders for either team last week. but...be warned... The Honey Bears were the official cheerleading squad of the Chicago Bears franchise from 1976 until 1985. After the 1985 Bears, famous for their Super Bowl Shuffle, the McCaskey family decided to get rid of the Honey Bears, claiming their cheerleaders didn't fit the team's tough image. Many Chicago Bears fans claim the team lingers under a Honey Bear Curse, given their Bears haven't won a Super Bowl since.
  14. There will be no cheerleading squad doing the 'Shout’ dance at the Ralph on Sunday. Instead, Bills fans will follow the beat of a 20-member percussion group, the Stampede. Unlike the Jills, who had been on the sidelines since Daryle Lamonica was traded to the Oakland Raiders in 1967, the Stampede drummers will be stationed in the grandstand, where seven rows of seats that have been removed to accommodate them and their instruments. http://www.buffalonews.com/city-region/with-no-jills-to-lead-cheers-the-job-of-drumming-up-fan-excitement-falls-to-the-stampede-20140912
  15. need to balance recent news with an NFL player doing something good: CINCINNATI -- Donations from Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still's jersey sales for charity have been incredibly strong all week. They've been so strong that Still tweeted Friday that after just four days of sales, he and the Bengals have raised about $400,000 for pediatric cancer research. He added that more than 5,000 of his jerseys have been bought since Monday night when the Bengals launched the jersey-sale campaign in hopes of bringing attention to an issue Still and his family are currently battling along with countless others. On Tuesday night, New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton heard about Still's story and the donation drive while driving home. He ended up buying 100 jerseys, paying for them out of his own pocket. A team official told ESPN.com those jerseys will be distributed to kids at Cincinnati's children's hospital and local Boys and Girls Clubs. The Bengals also have a way on the pro shop's website for non-Bengals fans to spend the $100 on the donation without having to buy a Bengals jersey. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11514383/devon-cincinnati-bengals-charity-efforts-had-strong-results

  17. was at the new Bills Store wednesday night. a little disappointed in the lack of high quality items. plenty of $75 replica and $150 replithentic jerseys but not a single $300 authentic. not even anything for sizing. polo's had silk screen emblems, not embroidered.
