  1. No Vince Young making proclamations about this being the dream team! Yet...
  2. What about the Texans? Seems like they fit your criteria..
  3. Dont ask a question if you don't want an answer..
  4. Because they aren't the best team on that list?
  5. Are you serious?? Haha... just kidding.
  6. I dont know if Fitzpatrick will ever be good enough.
  7. Interesting article on all of the teams that have yet to win the Super Bowl. I figured it would be a good topic for discussion. Who's next in line to win first Super Bowl? I'd have to put my money on the Texans. I think they could win in this next year. Good offense, good defense and a pretty wide open AFC.
  8. I think we need to wait and see Shep play for a full year before proclaiming him as an "equal talent" to poz.
  9. At least we can agree on that! And vice-versa! I was really hoping to get a steak dinner bet out of you.. haha
  10. Ralph Wilson has found the fountain of youth?
  11. So you're saying that the offense was the best.. but will likely get worse.. because they are 1 year older? You could easily say that they should get better because they have 1 more year of experience. Its not like any of their key players is in danger of falling out of their prime. If anything, they are just coming into their prime. The defense was last in the league but they spent their top 5 draft picks on defenders. They have proven playmakers (woodson, matthews, raji) who had off years last year. I would have a hard time projecting them as the worst D in the league next year too. This team was 15-1 last year! The bears were 8-8!
  12. I'm going to assume that you mean far from unbeatable? I dont think their defense can get much worse than it was last year.. they were the worst defense in the league. Nothing has changed on their offense which was one of the best offenses we've ever seen. Look for Rodgers to put up unreal numbers and the packers defense to bounce back to their ball hawking ways of 2 seasons ago. The Pack will not finish worse than 12-4.
  13. How are they going to beat the Packers?
  14. How many games do you think they'll win this year? I cant see them winning more than 4..
  15. Dont forget that the Bronco's won their division last year. its a lot harder to "improve" if you're already a division winner. The three other teams were all at the bottom of their respective divisions last year..
  16. NFL.com most improved team Just watched a video on NFL.com and saw 1 pick for the browns and 1 pick for the panthers. No mention of the bills. Here's what the guys mentioned for the first 2 teams... Cleveland Browns (trent richardson, brandon weeden) Carolina Panthers (year 2 for cam newton, luke kuechly) Buffalo Bills (mario williams, mark anderson To be honest I'm kind of glad that they didn't pick the bills.. I was getting nervous with all the hype. Who will be the most improved team in the NFL this year?
  17. Every one of Eli's #'s are better except INTs... There's a reason why his passer rating is 5 points higher. Thats no small difference. 5 points last year was the difference between Joe Flacco (80) and Colt McCoy (75)
  18. haha I cant help but get sucked in to punting arguments!
  19. I'm with you there
  20. Also, its fair to say that most punters can kick the ball 55 yards, but if you're kicking the ball that far, then you are not getting a fair catch. And if you're not getting a fair catch, then the average returner is going to bring the ball back another 10 yards. Its unreasonable to expect a punter to get an "inside the 20" punt if they are punting inside of their own 40 yd line.
  21. I disagree with this.. not sure what you're calling "most" but unless you have some facts to back that up I dont think you can generalize that most drives dont end in a 3 and out. Ok so I found this which might help you put some numbers behind your argument: Three and Outs Essentially the best team defenses forces a 3 and out 32% of the time, the worst forces it 17% of the time. So I'd say 25% is a fair assumption for how often a team goes 3 and out.
  22. People are just going with what they've seen so far with Fitz. He's never been a top 10 QB, he's never been a winner and he's always thrown a lot of INTs. That doesn't mean he cant change, but you can't knock fans for needing to see it, to believe it.
  23. I agree this is still a big concern until the D can prove otherwise. Having an elite pass rush is nice, but this team has still been one of the worst at stopping the run over the past 3 years. Hopefully Wanny's system can put a stop to that..
  24. Peterson has played 14, 16, 16, 15, and 12 games in the seasons since he's come into the league. Cant stay healthy? Not sure where you're getting that from (maybe college?). Fred Jackson has out shined 1 1st round pick so far, Marshawn Lynch. Its unfair to say that he's out shined Spiller because we dont have a large sample size on him, and the sample size we do have shows that he can be a very good back. If you're asking why to Foster, than obviously you havent seen his stats. In the past 2 years: 2,840 yards rushing, 26 TDs, 4.7 ypc. 119 rec, 1,221 yds, 4 TDs. Good luck finding someone that has outproduced Foster in that same time frame. Mccoy had over 1,600 total yds and 20 Tds last year alone. Rice had over 2,000 total yds and 15 Tds last year alone. Just for reference: Jackson has had over 1,300 total yds and 6 tds in 10 games. Also, you can say "give me a young Freddie over any of them" but the fact is that he is 31. You have to look at track record and the previous year or 2 to determine who the best back in football is. Why don't you try to think of who you would trade Fred for at this point? Peterson Foster MJD Forte Rice McCoy Gore I would probably trade Freddie for everyone on that list except for Gore.
