Sessions did not disclose two Russian envoy meetings
Magox replied to Meathead's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
No matter what the outcome as benign as a contact as it probably was, he perjured himself under oath. -

Global warming err Climate change HOAX
Magox replied to Very wide right's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
DC TOM, I Know you've given your reasons and explanations to this before, but could you please provide it again as to why it is nearly impossible to consider these climate science studies to be infallible? I believe you had alluded to scientific methodology? -
It's not a "faux" war on drugs but more like a fruitless one. It's what he'd like to do, he'll quickly get reigned in by Bannon and the nationalist base. If enacted, Obama's deficits will be child's play compared to his. I'm sure the talk radio hucksters will pay plenty of lip service to all this. His budget won't pass, but there is broad consensus among Repubs to increase Military spending. In order for them to pass a real budget they are going to have to give the Dems the goodies they long for, and considering Trump loves the goodies as well, he'll comply and we'll get one huge ass spending bill. And yes, reducing regulations will help provide more revenues, Congress really isn't needed in order to do a decent bit of that, but it won't make up for everything else he wants to do.

I hate to lose him, but he isn't worth what he is purported to be looking for.

I once discredited the Intercept as a conspiracy site, I was wrong. Even though I do believe that Greenwald is too forgiving of those of the Middle East, he is solid and more importantly consistent. Why am I bringing this up right now? I don't know. I just felt compelled to tell you that because I had once criticized you for citing him. Now for some of the other ****, that's still wack.

Trump's Budget Proposal
Magox replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Which is the correct way to measure it. Everything is relative. Having said that, Trump's deficits are going to make Obama's look like child's play. -
PPP Trump Job Approval: One Month In
Magox replied to Dorkington's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
If you cut all the white noise out and the incompetence of the roll out of the immigration executive order, all in all, he's done ok. For now, I give him an approval. -
Repeal is easy, all you need is 51. To replace, not so easy you need 60 votes, which means you have to pick off 9 Democrats. There aren't 9 Democrats running for re election residing in Red states. So how will you pick off 9 Democrats? Tacking to the left, compromise. As much as I can't stand Trump, he is one to compromise and he isn't ideological aside from his Nationalist instincts. Ryan and most Repubs are fine with the Refundable tax credits. I think it's a good idea myself. Unfortunately you have the hardliners who are threatening to vote against the Repeal Bill if that is indeed the plan to include the refundable tax credits. The calculus from leadership is to dare the right wing to vote against repeal. The question is will Trump publicly, specially tonight signal support for Ryan's and Prices proposal? Or will he let the chaos within the Repub party ensue regarding the direction of the bill. At the end of the day, in order to get those 9 democrats, the Repubs will have to go even more to the left than Ryan's and Price's proposals. The only way I see this going through is just placing the repeal in place, dare the right wing to not vote for it and then when it comes to the replace, they will tack further to the left, lose some repubs and cobble together some votes from Democrats. They will lose Cruz, Paul and Lee. Which means that they would need 12 Democrats. Considering there is no appetite among Dems to work with Trump, it's gonna be tough.

Why not Use Transition Tag on Gilmore
Magox replied to Stussy109's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's not at Sherman's or Peterson's level. He may be around the 10-15 area, but he definitely ain't top 5. -
If the scouting department along with the decision makers believe he's potentially a franchise QB, then you get him at 10. Personally speaking, the little of what I saw of him, he looks damn impressive to me.

Rob Quinn on Trubisky replacing Tyrod
Magox replied to Maury Ballstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not a good analogy. Basketball players play both ways, offense and defense. In football, one has very little to do with the other, they succeed or fail primarily on their own merits. -
Rob Quinn on Trubisky replacing Tyrod
Magox replied to Maury Ballstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trubisky from my perspective is more NFL ready, accurate and has better field vision than Cardale. -
Gilly Lock in Boca? Wine and Dine with Pegs?
Magox replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's not a black or white issue. The question is what sort of money does he want? Does he want top 3 money, if so then from my point of view I'd rather have him walk. If he's asking for somewhere between top 5 to top 10 pay, then I think that would be more appropriate. -
Player's Tribune: Chris Hogan - Championship or Bust
Magox replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Never quite understood the hate for him over here from some quarters of TBD. He was a great value for the Bills and is proving himself to be a valuable contributor on arguably the best team in the NFL. -
5 draft picks that put us back in the playoffs.

You have a knack for focusing on the minutiae of virtually every topic. -
Perhaps Dennison should adapt to the Bills existing offense.
Magox replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Uh, no. With the offensive production we had last year, if we would have had a top 10 defense we would have been in the playoffs. -
Completely disagree, the kid is a gunslinger and would be the opposite of what you describe. If anything he would be a cutler type with the capacity of throwing for high yardage consistently but possibly with lots of picks, that is his downside. I am very intrigued by this kid, his footwork is spotty and yes he did get away with a lot in college as does virtually every single QB prospect who has ever played the game in college. The kid has a stronger arm and better field vision than Tyrod, so he has all the physical tools. I think the biggest unknown is he a leader of men? Does he have the capacity to improve on his mechanics and desire to succeed? I have no idea where he will be picked but I would hope that the Bills are giving him a good hard look as I'm sure just about every other team who has a need at QB will be.

Rivers not interested in LA - nevermind he is
Magox replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're conflating accuracy with decision making. Rivers is accurate but he made questionable decisions that led to interceptions this past year. And are you willing to ignore that this past season was an anomaly compared to his lifetime 2 to 1 TD to int ratio? Everyone is getting older. -
Doesn't Whaley have to retain Taylor?
Magox replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You don't know that, that is 100% pure speculation. Not only is it speculation but it's nonsensical.
