I had no idea that TBD had become a conspiratorial site to chat football. -
9-12: Sean McDermott & Shady-Allen Pressers Live

Can we just agree that everything sucked this past Sunday? -
And anyone who reasonably looks at this from an objective point of view knows that by starting Peterman is an insignificant decision that didn't play one iota of importance to the end result in either the Charger or Ravens football game or for that matter and more importantly in the overall trajectory of this football team. It's just a bunch of teeth gnashing for the sake of teeth gnashing and nothing more.

"Big Name" cuts around the league...
Magox replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is this the same Jonathan William's that half the board massively whined about when the Bill's cut him last year? The legendary JAG -
I dont believe he will be considered.

Whoever thinks trading 2 first rounders and paying Mack 22m+ a year is a fool.
-
He's going to want around $20 Million a year. I suppose it's doable considerable that we don't have an expensive QB contract on the books. But I find it very difficult to believe that any team with a QB that is paid like a franchise QB could fit both Mack and he on the team. You are talking about nearly 30% of the cap on two players.

If Allen starts the season as the starter then you stick with him to the end no matter how it goes. There is no turning back.

Josh Allen- One thing we can all agree on?
Magox replied to GoodHands15's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Turns out that the ones who thought that the Watkins trade was a good one were much brighter regarding the trade than those who didn't. -
I think it's becoming more clear that his teammates are making these statements because a) they believe in him and b) they are making a public sales pitch to the coach for him to start.

Peterman's infamous 5 pick half has left a lasting impression on many fans and it's difficult to combat those opinions because it was 5 freaking picks in a half!! With that said, he is better than what his detractors think he is. Peterman will not be out of the NFL any time soon and I think there is a really good chance that he becomes a quality backup QB who will get an opportunity to start one day in the NFL with another team not named Buffalo. He is a rhythm passer and in the right system he can be effective. Im glad that hes playing well right now and I think there is a 50/50 chance that he starts. Allen obviously has lots more upside and is certainly the future and maybe even the present but I wouldn't feel too bad with Peterman starting the year. My hopes are that Allen starts the 1st half this next week with peterman getting the second half. If Allen plays well I think he should be the starter for week 1.

For those of you implying that Mahomes throw wasn't perfect because Hill had to slow down.......STOP! Just STOP! He made a throw that very few QB's could make. Having said that, he made plenty of errors as well and he needs to get that under control or he's going to turn into a turnover machine which was the exact opposite of his predecessor.

[Edited Title] Tremaine Edmunds looks Lost
Magox replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm neither worried or concerned! By all accounts he's done extremely well in the practice setting and he has the full confidence of the coaches and players. Let's wait and see how he does when the season begins and we have actual game plans before we label him a bust. -
If I Could Ask McDermott One Question
Magox replied to The_Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's because they viewed Allen as a much better prospect than Mahomes. -
I'd say as of right now Peterman has the edge to be the starter for week 1. However, McCarron isn't that far behind and if Allen continues to impress he could be the starter as well. The bad news is that whoever the #1 is isn't getting all the reps that you want your starter to get. The good news is that all three QB's are performing decently. We all know that Allen is the future but we should absolutely roll with three QB's to start the season and may the best QB win the job for week 1.

Jalen Ramsey trash talking a lot of QB's
Magox replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's always the same clowns on this board making excuses for the same punks of the NFL. Personally, I don't give 2 craps about his comments, the football players can settle their differences out on the field. But make no mistake, Jalen is a punk. -
We all know, we've heard and seen how strong of an arm he has but to actually see it in action, it's just absolutely crazy how much power he has behind his throws. That last preseason game showcased some of the "wow" throws that we are hoping to see. That was one of the intangibles that I saw from watching his college videos that don't show up in the game stats. There were so many times where on busted plays he gets out of the pocket and makes these amazing throws that only a handful of people in the NFL can make. I honestly believe that the best comparable for him is Ben Roethlisberger. The ability to break arm tackles, get outside of the pocket with his good athleticism, scan the field while doing so and then using his cannon arm to make big plays down the field. The Wide Receivers on this team need to realize to never give up on their routes and think touchdown because undoubtedly they will have their opportunities to make big plays with Allen at the helm. Another thing that I came away impressed with as a few others have noted was how he consistently climbed up the pocket and made throws. Lots of QB's specially young ones see that pressure coming from the outside and begin to get jittery and that's where the mistakes begin to happen. Allen showed lots of poise and did not show that jitteryness. He just needs to continue to work on his mechanics for those shorter throws and get some game action/experience and I'm confident we'll have our franchise QB that we've all been waiting for.
