  1. i could handle that, despite what some on here say, the national pundits, etc. a left tackle is a gamble, roll the dice on tebow and see if he is the deal. think about how you felt about whitner, mccargo, maybin, this guy would at least not make me grimace. after all the bullsh-t this past decade, i say go for it, build your team around him and pray!
  2. absolutely thrilled with all games on sunday at 1 pm!, that is prime time for me.
  3. i am not in panic mode over taylor going to the jets. i know everyone but the bills , are signing so-called names, but for some reason i am not overly upset. dansby going to miami was the most troubling, but all in all, the bills : it is what it is, a credible front office is in place, lets just see what happens. taylor will be dinged and hurt most of the year anyway. lets just get to the freakin draft!
  4. what was worse than the trading of picks to get mccargo? i think the maybin pick is right up there. i knew going in last year that lots of people believed he was their pick, was hoping everyone was wrong, but they took him. i just would like to know who had final say. i hope nix has this year.
  5. i totally agree. i am no fan of the overkill of draft talk, but do you believe they want tebow to be that face? i watched gruden's show with the QB'S , kinda liked tebow's defiant attitude, wanting to prove the critics wrong. it was a tad like kelly.
  6. where do you take mccoy?, you take him at 9?, trade down, at this point i have no idea what they have in mind, but cannot wait till it happens. anybody think they will make a splash?, a trade of picks, a tebow , i just have no idea. i think nix put out a few thoughts to confuse people because right away everyone thought "spiller" after his remarks.
  7. early on i was all in for mcclain, but i am tending to agree that maybe we should go offense with the pick at nine, if we dont trade down. i think the draft is very deep with d-men everywhere, thats where i am counting on nix to deliver!
  8. ouch!.. je-zuz!, i hope either lombardi is wrong or gailey learned from it!
  9. totally agree!, i would like to open at home at 1 pm, then play again , AT HOME, the following week at 1pm. would be nice to get off to a strong start. it just gives me hope(maybe falsely) of getting a better chance to win, start the season positively. if it unravels after that , so be it. we have opened in new england twice in the last 4 years i think. lets try to build a litle mojo, then move on.. do not want to see us open on the road, at NY, or anywhere , but home !
  10. i am 57 and feel that it cant be any worse than what we have witnessed the past decade. i have followed the draft from its infancy, they used to televise it during the workday when espn was getting started. prior to that, one had to listen to the radio during the sixties and wait for the updates. i actually prefer the recent saturday deal, but like everything else concerning the NFL , money talks, tradition walks..
  11. i thought that also, but also heard that THEY wanted an earlier game. not quite sure about the policy other than i hate everything connected to it.
  12. just hope it is the crappiest game on the schedule. cannot believe the league will take another division opponent and schedule it there. give them detroit, early, and get it over with.
  13. what is about ESPN and the bills? it has been a constant for a while now. by no means am i condoning the ineptitude at one bills drive, but they seem to have specific love affairs , i e : favre, jerry jones, snyder and the skins, and bash the bills at their convenience. not very creative, but like i am sure lots on here will say, winning will cure it.
  14. i agree!, look at recent history with O lineman, robert gallery, mike williams, you better be sure. i realize it is the draft, but some O lineman turn out to be busts more often ( maybe it just seems that way), but am wary. i still would try and get gaither and fill that need with a proven commodity.
  15. wow!, what a let down!, saw the headline, assumed it was rashad(whaley connection), je-zuz!, i heard they are looking at ed reed's brother..
  16. how did you feel when the bills took mccargo a few years ago, after trading for the pick?, i was mortified!
  17. good memory dude!.. impressive!, was trying to think of the specific players, nice job!
  18. i, for one, am sick of mock drafts. i was not mocking "wes bunting", just the general mock draft overkill that fans are facing. speaking for myself, i really do not actually give a sh-t about the credentials of draft "guru's"
  19. hey, i take nothing away from kiper, he was ahead the curve, and obviously was responsible for creating the cottage industry that mock drafts have become. this thread proves it, never heard of the guy projecting tebow to the bills.
  20. i saw bill tobin, a former GM of indy , absolutely crucify kiper on espn a few years back. some of his quotes.."who is mel kiper?".. "my neighbor knows more about drafting than mel kiper". with that it mind, just get to the freakin draft!, enough of these guys spewing draft nonsense. i know the NFL loves the year round pub, but move it up to march, its becoming a circus, allowing guys in their basements to gain attention.
  21. i think his stock is rising quite rapidly and i think he will not last until round 2. as how it relates to the bills, if they arent sandbagging, they appear to have a genuine interest in him, so much so, that i heard a few pundits say they could see them taking him with the 9th pick!, not sure how i feel about that.
