  1. Hey, it worked for William Randolph Hearst, so why wouldn't it work now? Just yell loud enough and long enough and people will believe ANYTHING.
  2. Right. It costs $100 and it appears in your BACK menu... hold BACK to access it.
  3. Watching my Pittsburgh Pirates after 21 misery-filled years WIN and within one game of the NLCS!!!! It is tremendously exciting.
  4. That's why they have PASSIVE mode.
  5. Choosing A or B locks out one of the characters for play in story mode after the last mission, that's why. Online mode is great when you join a crew and start earning cash in jobs... you can buy cars and save them in your huge garage, fly jets and helos just like story mode, arm wrestle, steal specific cars for cash, and more. PLUS, you can create female characters, which is a blast... I'm Foxy Brown LMAO
  6. I disagree... we've seen this same song before!!! Not buying into the silver lining here. We're in dire straits on offense, and the writing is on the wall. I'm not eating crow later because a winning record from here on is just not happening, plain and simple. Who exactly are we going to beat with a third string quarterback or a quarterback who couldn't even make a roster AS a third string? Come on man... be real.
  7. Actually, EVERYONE who plays must choose C, or you get screwed. I don't want that to happen to anyone! The online play is hella fun, but it takes a lot to start due to glitches.
  8. It is a bit unfair because you know who lives and who dies in Boardwalk Empire with respect to the historical characters and you don't know anyone in Breaking Bad, at least for me. Lansky still has allegiance to Rothstein presently as in the past, but he also knows Nucky is his future.
  9. ... it would smell a lot better than Darcy Regier about now.
  10. The scene with Rothstein is to not only establish the rise of Lansky and Luciano, but the decline of Rothstein. Up to this point, Rothstein has been a steady, rational rock of organization and calculation. Now, both Lansky and Nucky both see he is losing his touch. I love the multiple meanings of "All In"! Michael Stuhlbarg is AMAZING as Rothstein... so cold, so Confucius-like, like Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday in Tombstone. Dr. Narcisse is a fine addition to the show to provide another thinking man's gangster... after Rosetti, it is nice to see... him using the Garvey association as a cover is perfect. I am getting SO tired of the Gillian storyline... she is annoying, boring, and a time waster. On the other hand, I cannot get enough of van Alden/Mueller... he never ceases to amaze me the kinds of situations he gets into, and the men who he associates with. It is truly a hidden gem in a great show. Siding with Capone can only bring even better storylines!!!! So, Eli's son is becoming quite the criminal... now this piques my interest!
  11. Hellz yeah. I'm all for this... our offense clearly isn't up to par vs. our defense, which is playing tremendously despite key injuries.
  12. That made me laugh... thanks for your unintentional line
  13. That is totally not true. Many members who have been here for years have been allowed to get away with what I have pointed out, and it doesn't make it right. The brilliant thing about a forum is that there is a RECORD which documents every post for all to see. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak.
  14. The problem is that almost EVERYONE who disagrees with the majority in PPP (and eloquence is NOT a requirement!!!) gets the massive dose of name calling and that goes against the Terms of Service: "you will not use TBD to post any material which is false and defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law." "Courtesy is contagious - Just become someone doesn't share your opinion - doesn't make them an idiot." Constant name calling of those who disagree with an opinion is abusive and harassing over time, and the reason why PPP has isolated itself. The second quote cannot be more plainly stated!
  15. He actually made my point for me... I couldn't have asked for a larger softball.
  16. I'd love that in PPP, so then there would be more balance and healthier debate. Good point!
  17. IMMINENT SHUTDOWN.... IMMINENT SHUTDOWN....!!!! Waiting for this... "[This is an automated response] This subject matter is being currently being discussed or has already been discussed in a previous thread. Please consider using the "search" function before starting new topics. Thank you."
  18. Since I chose to abandon the Wild West of PPP many months ago, I was not surprised to see the same conduct continuing, and I saw what happened to you in those threads you participated in. I'm sorry that this happened to you, but it is commonplace and the reason why I had to say something is when I read of someone actually saying PPP was fully regulated and in no way like TSW- it went too far, I say. Don't worry though... as you can see, the commitment to TSW is high, and it is appreciated.
  19. Continuation is a very serious business, and it is noted quite extensively online. I find it awesome he cared enough to get it right
  20. Calling someone a retard, ignorant, a douchebag, a tiny representation of what I could pull up as examples of this name calling, is not being educated or "not tolerating BS", it is being a bully and actually goes against the rules of conduct here. However, since it is so routine and rarely is addressed as it is PPP, to state that it is fully regulated is fallacy. It is in fact not regulated by rules of conduct, but rule by intimidation is the norm. This is why I revel in TSW because that sort of rule is not tolerated, and the moderators address it as Simon chose to do here.
  21. That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. Most people stay out of PPP because it is out of control and the foxes run the hen house. Being constantly insulted personally instead of debating the subject is a huge problem, and that's why 95% of it today is almost everyone agreeing with each other because no one wants to be treated that way.
