  1. Thanks for the info! So, seriously, why the hell do they say they aren't going to play him this year? Doesn't it make sense to at least give him some work, if not some starts?
  2. It is too bad. Too bad they picked him at #4. Too bad he wasn't a worker. Too bad he was 400+. Too bad he allegedly never played hurt. Too bad he couldn't play guard when the Bills switched him to G. Too bad he played soccer as a kid and not football. Too bad he was a Bills fan b/c he played them on Tecmo Bowl or early Maddens. Too bad Mularkey fined him in training camp. Too bad he didn't show up on time for training camp. Too bad he's now a journeyman and will never amount to anything more.
  3. I agree. I like Wilson and Scott, but I don't understand why the two full-time starters are not Whitner and Byrd?
  4. I T H I N K T H E Y A R E L O O K I N G F O R E V E R Y T H I N G ! ! !
  5. We don't get "The News" here in London, ON. Can someone please scan the ad?
  6. I don't think he was drafted to be an immediate impact player, anyway. Give the kid a chance, he's only 21, comes from a solid family and football background. Heck, even Mario Williams took a couple of years to come into his own. For that matter, so did Bruuuuuce.
  7. I know what you mean, but for me, it is still the most exciting sport to watch on TV. I can't wait until Xmas when Santa (my wife and kids) bring me my first Plasma/HD. Mind you, hockey, basketball, and even the Winter Olympics all will look pretty sweet on it, too. The World Cup will be on next summer, and the best thing about that is no play stoppage & thus, no commercials!
  8. He could probably build a 100,000 sq ft house in Orchard Park for less that what his 35,000 sq ft costs.
  9. I wonder if this was just a carrot (a very small one at that) to show Shanahan, or whomever, that the Bill are not married to Fitz or TE?
  10. Football guys, when they become GM, complain about the same things... they want to deal with players, coaches, scouts, etc. They DON'T want to deal with sales, marketing, parking, concession stands, partnership agreements, PR, etc. So, let Brandon take care of the biz, let Cowher, Schottenheimer, Fewell, AVP, (ie, any "football guy") or whomever, take care of the football-only stuff.
  11. No offense to LaCanfora, but all of these statements are pretty much what the marjority of us fans have been saying for years.
  12. True, what good does that do? Marv took a chance hiring him. There wasn't much to choose from that year.
  13. Hey Lori: with all due respect, you don't think it's possible that at least one or two of those guys (Whitey, Bulldog, Mandola, etc.) have an anonymous account on this board? Several of them do sometimes reference this site. Now, for the other posters on this topic: Colin Cowherd (for some reason, not liked on this board) covered this exact topic yesterday on his show. He said his show, & ESPN, etc. are a buffet. Ie., they have something for everyone - but are not there to "Break down the games" only. Now, while I agree that talking about actors isn't sports, sometimes, WGR, ESPN, FAN 590, etc., will hit on an "Off Topic" that is interesting. Also, I'm not here to defend WGR, but as a radio listener, when I don't like their topic (I missed the entire actor draft thing, on purpose) I turn on Sirius NFL Radio, or listen to CDs. What's the big f-in' deal? BTW, don't posters on this board like to go "OT" sometimes? Seems like a lot more so lately. Maybe it's b/c it's just plain boring to talk about our beloved Bills? You think? If WGR missed talking about the UB game, that's their problem and if it's a big deal, then they'll suffer the consequences. If there's a demand that they talk about UB more often, I'm sure they will. But the sad truth is, there likely really isn't much of a demand out there to talk about it... Finally, while I have your attention, I wish WGR would get rid of Mike Schlepp Schopp (SP?) he is a disservice to all Bills Fans!
  14. Hey Guys: Chris is a great guy. He answers my emails all the time. You have to respect him because, although on the surface he seems to have a dream job, in reality, it must be very difficult for him to "toe the company line." Look for him to have a very bright future, whether he stays with the Bills, or moves on to the National media, like ESPN or NFL Network. I wouldn't be surprised if he became a well known NFL "Insider"-type. IMHO.
  15. Maybe he'll forget how to check down? OR... Maybe he'll forget why he was afraid to throw downfield?
  16. So people like you will read them and post a valuable comment. : )
  17. As long as he spends the bucks to bring in Cowher and the right free agents, etc. He can say whatever he wants. (As crazy as he is!) Is he still with Daryn Kagen (SP?)
  18. I think the point of the article is that Brandon is not a football guy and the so-called "inner circle" is a joke.
